France Euro 2024 Squad: Olivier Giroud, N'Golo Kante Included in Didier Deschamps' 25-man Squad

France has announced a 25-man squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 tournament on Thursday (May 16).

Didier Deschamps has named a strong team for the continental competition as Les Bleus eye to end their long wait for Euro glory.

Two veterans of the French team, Olivier Giroud and N'Golo Kante have been added for the tournament. Giroud, currently an AC Milan player, is the highest goal scorer for France in international football, while Kante has been a stalwart in the midfield, currently playing for Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

Arsenal centre-back William Saliba has been picked along with Liverpool's Ibrahima Konate. In the attack, Randal Kolo Muani and Marcus Thuram are picked along with their talisman Kylian Mbappe.

Bayern Munich left-back Lucas Hernandez will miss due to an injury, but surprisingly, Chelsea strike Christopher Nkunku has been left out of the squad.

France will play two warm-up friendlies against Luxembourg and then Canada, before kicking off their campaign against Austria on June 17. They have been slotted in Group D alongside Austria, Netherlands and Poland.
