RCB vs CSK: Ajinkya Rahane memes took over the internet after the senior batter walked in at four and helped Chennai Super Kings recover from 19/2 during their crucial 219-run chase against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, May 18.

CSK lost their captain Ruturaj Gaikwad on the first ball of their innings before losing the wicket of in-form Daryl Mitchell in the third over. Notably, CSK were asked to chase down 219 to win the match and 201 to qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs. RCB, who scored 218/5 batting first, need to beat CSK by 18 runs in the ongoing match to make it to the final four.

Before RCB could create further pressure on CSK, Ajinkya Rahane walked in and stitched a 66-run partnership off 41 balls with Rachin Ravindra. The right-hander had struggled throughout the season, but looked sharp against RCB, scoring 33 runs off 22 balls. The innings consisted of three fours and a six.

Fans came up with creative memes as Rahane threatened RCB's hopes to qualify for IPL playoffs . A few of them also reckoned that the innings was his last in the IPL. Here are the top reactions.

Soon after Rahane's departure, CSK were reduced to 129/6 in 15 overs. Earlier in the match, RCB posted their highest total against CSK after being asked to bat first. Faf du Plessis top-scored for RCB with 54 off 39. The likes of Virat Kohli (47 off 29), Rajat Patidar (41 off 23), and Cameron Green (38* off 17) also chipped in with handy contributions. RCB walked into the match on the back of five consecutive wins.
