Brockport Shatter's Multiple Facility Records at Nazareth on Sunday

The SUNY Brockport track & field team traveled to Nazareth College for the ROC City Final Qualifier on Sunday afternoon.
 
Matthew Jackson set a new facility record with a PR of 56.64m to take home first place in the men's hammer throw. His throw ranks 14th nationally and likely secured him a spot at the upcoming outdoor nationals. Elijah Washington placed second with a throw of 55.73m and Matt Faulise placed fourth with a toss of 52.73m.

Brockport's Jonathan Zavala broke the school-record with a personal best time of 3:51.74 to take home third place in the men's 1500m race.  Sarah Levine nearly broke the school-record as she placed second in the 100m dash final with a personal best time of 12.26 (second all-time at Brockport).

Art Jordan set a new facility record in the men's discus as he placed first with a personal best throw of 49.94m. His throw ranks 17th nationally and fifth all-time at Brockport.  Matt Muscolo PR'ed in the discus and placed ninth with a regional qualifying toss of 41.35m.

Alex Rood PR'ed in the men's shot put and moved himself into position to possibly qualify for outdoor nationals with a first-place throw of 15.98m. His mark ranks 17th nationally and second on the team behind Art Jordan.

Sarah Crockett set a new facility record in the women's shot put as she posted a first-place throw of 13.22m. Crockett also placed first in the shot put with a throw of 13.22m. Emma Kinnicutt placed second in the discus with a personal best throw of 37.79m to lock up a spot at regionals.

Alayna Fredenburg placed second in the javelin with a throw of 37.49m. She also added a second-place finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 47.88m. Ellie Ramirez placed third in the hammer with a throw of 47.50m.
 
The 4x100m relay team of Satin Holmes, Marissa Wise, Brianna Lawless and Sarah Levine nearly broke 48 seconds for the first time and placed third with a time of 48.02 which ranks fifth all-time at Brockport.  Their time ranks 38th nationally.

Kelly Brown set a PR in the men's 100m final as he placed second with a time of 10.77. Only four sprinters have broken 11 seconds in program history, and he now ranks fourth all-time in Brockport's outdoor record book. 

Satin Holmes set a new PR in the women's 100m dash as she placed third in the finals with a time of 12.42. 

Marissa Wise won the 200m dash with a time of 25.62, while Lauren Puchta placed third in the 3000m steeplechase with a personal best and regional qualifying time of 12:07.71 which ranks seventh all-time at Brockport. 

Brockport's Jared Smith won the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:54.58. 

Brockport returns to the track on Monday when hand full of Golden Eagles will travel to the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet.

The SUNY Brockport track & field program will travel to the 2022 ROC City Final Qualifier hosted by Nazareth College on Sunday. The meet will begin with the men's hammer throw and women's javelin at 1 p.m. A hand full of Golden Eagles will then travel to the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet on Monday.
