YooMoney is a Russian fintech company. For individuals, we offer the YooMoney electronic wallet. We also have a payment acceptance service with a Merchant Profile designed for businesses: YooMoney for Business.

Our history
1998
Launch in our initial version: as PayCash.
2002
In cooperation with Yandex, we create an electronic wallet service called Yandex.Money designed for money transfers and online payments. At the time, the wallet only worked as a separate program.
2005
The wallet has evolved and started working not only in the program but also on its own website: you can access it from any computer.
2007
The wallet is already used by 1.5 million people, and Euroset outlets all around Russia start selling our scratch cards for adding money.
2009
We start our partnership with big Russian banks: SberBank, Alfa-Bank, VTB, etc. Money can now be added to wallets via bank accounts.
2010
Money can now be added to wallets via bank cards issued by any bank.
First version of the virtual card launched: for now, only for one-time use on websites where payments via the wallet aren't supported.
2011
New option for wallets is introduced: users can now link a card issued by any bank and use it to pay via wallet without commission.
A mobile app for iOS and Android™ is launched.
We enter the CIS market: users from Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and other countries could now pay using our e-wallet.
2012
Add money can now be added to the wallet via bank accounts directly, not via intermediaries like in 2009.
Transfers to Mastercard® and Visa cards are launched.
2013
Money can now be added to the wallet without commission via SberBank using a card issued by any bank.
Yandex.Checkout, an online payment acceptance solution for businesses, is launched.
2014
Virtual card is improved: it's now free, valid for a year, and works as the standard bank card.
2015
Users can now pay for utilities, Internet, phone services, and more via the wallet app, even without registration.
Invoicing via email implemented in Yandex.Checkout.
2016
Yandex.Checkout introduces Safe deal: the solution for platforms that help individuals sell products and provide services to each other.
Payments via QR are available in the wallet: users can now pay for purchases by scanning the payment code.
2017
We start crediting cashback in bonus points for payments via ther wallet and add discount and cashback in rubles from partner stores.
Yandex.Checkout now has a solution for payment acceptance in accordance with the Federal Law No. 54-FZ.
2018
Around 35 mln users have signed up for the wallets.
2019
Payment acceptance for the self-employed is available, with e-wallet and bank account support.
We're granted the Merchant Payments Ecosystem award in the Best PSP category as the best payment provider.
2020
We leave the corporate structure of Yandex and become part of Sber's ecosystem: our wallet is renamed to YooMoney for Shopping, and Yandex.Checkout becomes YooMoney for Business.
We become the biggest Russian fintech company by turnover in the 2018 to 2020 accounting period, as ranked by the Atlanty business club and Smart Ranking company.
2021
YooMoney for Business clients can now accept payments via SberPay.
YooMoney for Business is picked by the "RBC Market research" marketing agency for the first place in the rating of specialized payment services in Russia.
2022
New section in the YooMoney app: Shopping. It has over 50,000 products from online stores and provides quick and convenient access to shopping with cashback and discounts.
YooMoney for Business adds support for payments via bank cards linked to Sber ID and launches a service for sending receipts automatically for self-employed individuals.
