  A: Yes. You tube this model and you can see your same setup hooked up to a dyno. It pumped out 200 watts.

• Q: I recently purchased this receiver and am having a lot of problems with audio cutting out. Sometimes it’s 1/2 second every few seconds, then sometimes it’ll cut out for 10 seconds! The problem goes away if I play through the TV speakers. (6 answers)

  A: OP Here - It actually ended up being a weird but with my new TV (Sony X900H) that needed to have an app installed with a hard reset. It's since been fixed. The receiver is great!

• Q: My current receiver I have front speakers A and B, for surround only A is used, but if I want to play in stereo for my music I can use front A, and B together so that all 4 front speakers crank, or I can choose A or B. Is this unit capable of doing this? (1 answers)

  A: No, modern Receivers no longer implement a straight-forward A-B Speaker Function. However, most Receivers at this Price-Level implement some form of Zone2/ZoneB with Outputs for a set of Speakers. Whem properly configured, this will produce the A-B effect that you described. Additionally, Zone2 can be set to output a Totally Different Source than is concurrently Playing on the Main Speakers.

• Q: Can I set this up to power an external amp for the front speakers and a second external amp for a pair of subwoofers? (2 answers)

  A: Yes you can connect the external amplifier to the "Front Pre out" on the RX-V6A, the subwoofers to the "pre out subwoofer 1 and 2".

• Q: What is the THD of this receiver? What are the RMS watts per channel? What is the frequency response of this unit? Why can't I find this very important information here? Sensitivity as well? (2 answers)

  A: The RX-V6A spec at the manufacturer's site says the "Rated Output Power (20Hz-20kHz, 2ch driven)" is "100 W (8 ohms, 0.06% THD)".

• Q: The Yamaha site says 4K 60Hz passthrough. Does this unit display on-screen volume and menus at 4K 60? (1 answers)

  A: Yes, I have a Samsung UHD 4k 60Hz, and I can see the volume and the receiver menu in the screen. When I switch to the HDMI input, the info of the Tv display 4K.

• Q: I have an old Yamaha amplifier/receiver (1989!) and it is connected to 4 pair of speakers in ceiling of 4 rooms. It also can switch to surround sound in TV room. Can this unit do the same number of speakers and surround sound also? Thank you (1 answers)

  A: Yes this receiver can do multi room. You can have surround sound in one room and as long as you have impedance match volume controls are an impedance match speaker selector then it can also power a zone 2.
