Great App for the Kindle Fire, but

This really is a great app for the KF, but only if you have few contacts and very not that much incoming email. I've been trying to get a decent app for email on my KF for the past year. I have a corporate email account at my office, and don't want to import any settings to Yahoo. I probably get not more than 10 email a day that aren't spam. (Last Friday I hit an all-time high of 492 spam email even with filters, but I've had the email address since 1995 so I guess it's to be expected.) Anyway, I installed Yahoo! Mail app onto my KF, and it was a breeze until I tried to add contacts. I have a contact list with Yahoo online, but I couldn't get it to import it. And, I cannot find a tab or folder or anything else in the app for adding contacts. (I don't even understand how it found my 9 really important contacts, but it did. However, when two contacts have the same first letter, nothing happens.) So, I've spent over an hour just trying to get a dozen contacts added, and to no avail. Otherwise, it's a great app for the KF. It might even be better on a phone, but I don't email from my phone. I have a keypad disability, and my phone does know the difference when I say "Bob" or "Susquehanna."

So, why 4 stars? Because it acts like all other email programs, and other than the contact list, it's extremely fast and "smooth." Not a glitch yet. I sent an email from my Kindle to a friend in New Jersey - pardon me for being impressed with today's technology, but I remember dialup very well! - and I received a reply all within 4 minutes. And I had added a relatively large photo.

Oh, and the app will search on the Kindle for my "photo album" (aka "Galley" under apps), and it will either attach a large photo or insert a small one. In a way, it smoother than Eudora Pro, my all time favorite email program that Adobe stopped supporting in 2006.

If anybody knows how to add a contact list (and I can't import from my PC because the email program is 18 years old and Yahoo doesn't "recognize" it), I'd appreciate knowing.

(P.S. I don't understand the review that said that the app couldn't handle or was it "display" enough email. How could an app on a 3" phone or a 7" Kindle [etc] display more than 10 if that? From what I've seen, app or online, Yahoo can handle any amount of email.)

Lately I've been having troubles getting my Amazon email App to send out email on my new Kindle Fire HDX. After repeated efforts on the part of the Amazon help line to correct this they advised me to install this yahoo mail app. After walking me through the installation and helping me to install it they told me I was good to go and I should have no farther problems getting my mail out. This was the beginning of my very serious headache bought on by stress and frustration.
First it had a clitzh and one email multiplied constantly in my trash been hundreds and hundreds of times. It took an Amazon tech specialist hours and hours to get that straighten out. Then it too would send my email to out box and would take forever to send it out. This app seems to be slow at times. Sometimes when I try to mail out an email to someone it will not cooperate with my contact list. But other times it will be perfect. Recently I've learned that if I want to send out a photo from my photo album on my kindle fire that this yahoo mail app will not cooperate with this. It sends me to my files and I must search through my files to find my photos. After contacting a yahoo trouble tech I was informed that this yahoo mail app does not go to my photo album to send out a photo attachment. I can only get to them through searching through my files. My headache continues to get worse every time I try to use this app. I confess to being a beginner on this computer thing but really I think it stinks that I can no longer use my Amazon app to send out email like I have been doing for the past 2 years and I need this yahoo mail app. I seem to be given the run around between the Amazon techs who tell me to contact yahoo for my problems with the yahoo mail app and the yahoo tech has just told me to contact Amazon to figure out where my photos are stored because their app will not cooperate with my kindle fire and allow me easy access to my photo album to mail out photo attachments . The only thing I like about this app is that it will alert me when an email comes in. Otherwise I'm not happy with it at this present time. It just doesnt compare with the Amazon email app in my opinion.
Add on: I recently down loaded this app again to my Kindle Fire. I was having g troubles getting my email as Yahoo kept interfering . I did everything they asked and still they blocked me from checking my email using my Kindle Fire app. To solve this as I mentioned earlier I down loaded the yahoo mail app . I found this app to be greatly improved from when I used it before. One thing I don't like however is I have to click to see images and it didn't allow me to delete all the email in my trash with one click on an empty trash link. I have to go through each email and click each one than click delete which is a bit of a nuisance. Oh and after getting the app I noticed I could then get into my email using the Kindle Fire email app once again. This led me to believe that Yahoo just wanted me to get their email app. But the app has improved since I originally had it. Except for the two things I mentioned here it is fine.
