Professor X (Charles Xavier)
Founder of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters as well as the X-Men, and one of the most powerful telepaths in the world.
Cyclops (Scott Summers)
The first X-Man and original team leader. His eyes constantly emit powerful beams of concussive energy. In order to see without destroying everything in his eye line, Cyclops wears a visor or glasses fitted with special ruby-quartz lenses that block his powers.
Angel (Warren Worthington III)
Like his namesake, he possesses large, bird-like wings on his back which enable him to fly.
Beast (Henry McCoy)
Built like a gorilla, his superhuman strength and agility is exceeded only by his genius-level intellect.
Iceman (Bobby Drake)
The youngest X-Man can generate intense old, and create ice from the moisture in the air.
Marvel Girl (Jean Grey)
Easily the most powerful of the founding members, Jean Grey possesses vast telekinetic powers. She is also a gifted telepath, though she sometimes has difficulty controlling her gifts.
