When we talk about dating apps, the first name that pops up in our minds and is hugely popular is Tinder. While the company has made it big in the dating space, it seems like Tinder will soon launch its phone cases and other accessories.

It’s no hidden fact that the smartphone business is booming and so is the phone merchandise business. According to LetsGoDigital, MatchGroup, the owner of Tinder wants to cash in this opportunity and enter the phone accessories market.

For the unaware, MatchGroup not only owns Tinder but Match.com, OkCupid, PlentyOfFish, and other highly popular dating apps as well.

The popularity of such apps is high, as people find it more convenient to chat their way into a relationship. However, this news of Tinder’s willingness to release its own phone case and accessories is out of the blue.

Reportedly, a trademark by MatchGroup was accepted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on January 20, 2021. Notably, the trademark filed is for “Tinder Made.”

There are a bunch of products that MatchGroup plans to release under this “Tinder Made” label. As stated in the patent, it includes “Protective covers and cases for cell phones; stands for handheld digital electronic devices, namely, cell phones and tablets; lights for use with mobile phone camera.

Tinder also wants to release its clothing label for women, men, boys, and girls

Along with phone cases, covers stands, “Lights for use with mobile phone camera” suggests that Tinder could also release Tinder branded selfie ring lights.

Well, Tinder does not want to limit themselves only to phones. In fact, the source reveals that Tinder may soon release a clothing label for women, men, boys, and girls.

The clothing line will include products like jumpsuits, overalls, shirts, sport knit shirts, T-shirts, chemise, tank tops, etc. The trademark further includes merchandise items, backpacks, cups, towels, games, hair accessories, claw clips, hair clips, hairpins and grips, and hair scrunchies.

This seems like MatchGroup must, of course, keep its shareholders happy. And it is looking for new ways to earn money. Besides, selling everyday products under the Tinder brand, sales will definitely increase with the increase in cash inflows as well.

One thing to note is that since the trademark is filed in the US and it is an American company, the accessories will first launch in the US. However, being available worldwide, Tinder will likely release its own everyday product label in other regions as well.
