TUESDAY
Mostly sunny.
Highs: 80-85
Winds: South 5-10 mph
After areas of early morning fog, a sunny and warm day is in the forecast with highs in the low to mid 80s.
TUESDAY NIGHT
Mainly clear.
Lows: 60-65
Winds: Southeast 5 mph
Mainly clear and moonlit skies ahead of Thursday’s full moon. While a few areas of patchy fog are possible, it doesn’t look as dense or widespread as Monday and Tuesday mornings.
WEDNESDAY
Sunny to partly cloudy, humid.
Highs: 85-90
Winds: South 5-10 mph
The stickiness factor will be on the rise as southerly winds help push afternoon temperatures to the middle 80s to near 90 degrees. Heat index values in the lower 90s will make for a more summer-like feel.
THURSDAY (POSSIBLE ALERT)
Partly cloudy with p.m. thunderstorms.
Highs: 80-85
Winds: Southwest 5-10 mph
Thursday has the potential to be an active weather day across the mid-Atlantic. A cold front is set to arrive by afternoon, during peak heating hours, and will likely trigger strong to severe thunderstorms. Some storms may bring gusty winds, hail and pockets of moderate to heavy rain. The forecast will continue to be refined over the coming day, additional cloud cover may help scour some storm development.
MEMORIAL DAY “WEEKEND’ OUTLOOK
Forecast highs Saturday and Sunday will range from the middle 70s to around 80 degrees. A few showers are possible Saturday, but appears not to be a washout. Memorial Day Monday may include a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the lower 80s.
