Pro Wrestling Bits—Why a Heel Roman Reigns Should Lead RETRIBUTION

IMPACT Wrestling Results—Tuesday, August 25, 2020

Eddie Edwards def. RVD—IMPACT World Championship

RVD’s IMPACT entrance is so much more of a production than any of his entrances that have had pyro.

Katie Forbes insisted on twerking in celebration every time RVD landed an offensive move.

RVD still moves very well.

A few weeks back, RVD attacked Sami Callihan, ultimately costing him the IMPACT World Championship. Fast forward and RVD lost to Eddie Edwards clean. So much for congruency in that feud.

I like Eddie Edwards but I’m pulling for Eric Young to win the IMPACT Championship next week.

Crazzy Steve def. Johny Swinger in a Blindfold Match—WRESTLE HOUSE

WRESTLE HOUSE gets one step closer to one of those self-governed, dystopian communities with every passing week.

There was actual booking throughout these segments that led to a stipulation match, which is more than you can say for most WRESTLE HOUSE segments.

Eddie Edwards Accepts Eric Young’s Challenge

Eddie Edwards went 15 minutes with RVD, then got attacked. Shortly after the attack, he challenged Eric Young to a match, and the heel Eric Young declined. What kind of heel passes up such a golden opportunity?

Eric Young and Eddie Edwards had a pretty even brawl despite Edwards being weakened. Eric Young better have one helluva plan next week.

Locker Room Talk with Madison Rayne

Madison Rayne is such an instigator on this show.

The running joke during this segment, which featured The Rascalz, is Madison Rayne not knowing what weed is.

Brian Myers vs. Willie Mack

EC 3 Calls Out Moose

This was a great promo from EC 3, about what it meant to be TNA heavyweight champion, if not long. I feel like it could have been broken into parts throughout the show.

EC 3 vs. Moose is easily the hottest match this company has and it will be contested for a defunct belt.

Brian Myers def. Willie Mack

On paper, Willie Mack vs. Brian Myers is a very good match and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

Most matches featuring a former WWE Superstar typically include a subtweet of some sort from Josh Mathews to WWE.

Brian Myers’ finisher should be the the Schoolboy rollup while grabbing the tights, and he should go on a 300-match win-streak by winning all his matches with that move.

Larry D def. John E. Bravo

John E. Bravo needs to start trying to find love on dating apps.

Is Taya Valkyrie going to remember that she challenged Rosemary to a match while inebriated?

Deonna Purrazzo def. Jordynne Grace—Iron Match for the IMPACT Knockouts Championship

The first fall of this match didn’t come until there was a bout four and a half minutes left, which made the final four minutes that much more exciting especially with the final fall coming with seconds left.

Deonna Purrazzo used the IMPACT World Championship during the final minute, and for whatever reason, it really wasn’t played up like it was the despicable move that it was.
