Cheats Overview

Using and activating cheats in GTA 3 on the Nintendo Switch is a simple process. Follow these steps to make the most of the available cheat codes:

  1. Create a new save file

Before using any cheats, create a separate save file to ensure that your non-cheats progress remains unaffected. This is important because some cheats may impact your ability to earn Achievements, and certain cheats are irreversible.

  2. Choose your desired cheats

See our list of GTA 3 cheat codes for the Switch below and select the cheats that you want to use.

  3. Enter the cheat code

To activate a cheat, enter the corresponding button combination on your controller without pausing the game. Make sure to input the buttons quickly and in the correct order for the code to register successfully.

  4. Troubleshoot if needed

If the cheat code doesn’t work on your first attempt, try the following:

    • Ensure that you are entering the button combination quickly and accurately.
    • Adjust your controller layout by switching between the “classic” and “modern” settings in the options menu. After changing the layout, try entering the code again.

  5. Confirm cheat activation

When you successfully trigger a cheat, a small pop-up message will appear on the screen, indicating that the cheat is now active.

I just got this on the Switch. Going to bookmark the article. It has been a long time since I played the classics but was in the mood for it. Perfect timing to be stumbling on this. I gotta say Nintendo did a decent job remastering them from what I have seen thus far.

Is this collection worth the $50? I was thinking of getting it but if it is buggy or not properly remastered, I feel like that is a lot of money to drop on older titles. I have been wanting to play them though and I would rather play them on Switch than messing with roms. Glad to see there are cheats that will work too.

I ended up getting the collection. Had no idea there were new cheats and things added. I only played through Vice City so far.
Yes. You are getting 3 games and they did a goo job with updating them imo.

It's pretty decent if you want to jump in with an open-mind. Unfortunately, it got a bad rep because of what players' expectations. They expected a complete remastered version of these games. But, the games are simply a remake with slight visual improvements (for the most part). If you want to relive the classics with a bit more fidelity but almost exactly the same gameplay (with slight QoL updates), I'd say its decent purchase.

So no buggy issues then?
That is fair. I mean I don't expect them to be groundbreaking. They are still going to be the same games. I just didn't know if the cost justified it or not. I don't know if/when these will go on sale either. I might wait for that and see.

Yeah, I am going to do that. Like I don't mind spending $50 for a game but these are dated titles. If I am going to buy older games, I don't want to be spending a lot of money.

Nope. But if you are settled on waiting for a sale, I get it. A lot of people have expressed it being to high a cost for older games.

I am going to just keep an eye out for a sale. I don't need anything else to play at the moment anyways. I have a lot of options and hardly touch anything as is.
