Woolworths Cavendish

The cafes food was pretty good and the coffee was too pretty good.

The down fall is the absolutely disgusting service and behaviour from the staff. Waited for about 10 minutes while all the staff were standing in the corner ignoring us and gossiping. Once we sat down they didn’t wipe the table and it was filthy. Ordered my food and they got the order wrong twice and forgot toast, they brought cold bread instead. The attitude of the woman serving us was disgusting, she was rude and disrespectful after we asked for our toast that she forgot, her bad attitude became worse after we asked for toast rather than the cold bread that she served us.

I went there once with the ceos wife and a friend and they ignored us completely but the second we mentioned her position a mask of kindness appeared, they should be kind to customers without them having to be the literal ceos wife.

DISGUSTING service. Do not recommend

O goodness haven't been there in a long time.there so much to do.shops and shops and to little time but I will say it's everything under one roof great place to go shopping

The restaurant was a perfect spot for a family breakfast. A wide selection of options for the vegetarians in our group yet also managed to satisfy the folk who just wanted no frills food.

I was looking for someone to do my make-up for my big 5 0.fortunately I came across Awaatief. She was so patient with me and immediately sat me down for a trail Awaatief made me feel extra special on my birthday. I received so many compliments and everyone wanted to know who did my make-up. Thank you again Awaatief.

Really big, well-stocked Woolworths. There are dedicated lifts which give easy access to the parking area. This Woolworths has a food section, a large home section, children's clothing and men's clothing on the lower ground level. On the ground floor there is a large women's clothing and beauty section.

Fair because they seem to go for alot of polyester and not natural especially in their mattress protection.total polyester no choice of cotton.gross

My recent visit to the dinery was very disappointing. My cutlery was covered with a stained serviette. My soup was cold (in winter). I waited 30 minutes for it to be heated. The waitress put her finger in it! Obviously I refused it. The dinery in Constantia was also disappointing. Waiters standing around chatting and not attending to patrons. Please Woolies your customers deserve better service!

I am extremely appalled by the behaviour of the 2 ladies that were in the Clarins stand. I came in looking to book a slot for my make up. They told me I will have to buy 2 products on the day which was fine by me. They the proceeded to discourage me from opting for clarins as it was “too expensive” the foundation alone would cost me R700. This was the most extreme case of classism I’ve ever experienced. Money was not an issue at all but I was profiled and told to try other stands. To top it off, their tone was extremely rude and dismissive. Their names are Ray and Rizia. I hope management provides them with necessary training to treat all customers with respect and not to judge people’s pockets because of their skin colour

I generally only buy flowers at Woolworths because of the quality. I bought two bunches of chrysanthemums on the 9th of December and had to throw it away by the 10th as they were wilted and some of the heads broke off? Still trying to figure out what went wrong but the quality was bad. (Bought at Cavendish Store)

Well today I was not so happy shopping at woolworths Cavendish, shelves are empty and most of the stuff expiry date was today or tomorrow, which means, I couldn't buy what I came for because I can't even keep it for 3 days, I don't buy food which expired on the same day or tomorrow, anyway was not happy customer,

The temptation is great because They have everything. It's one of the big stores. Everything about this store works so well.

Brilliant store very clean let me not get started with the cafe they have some great noms waiting for you I had myself a club sandwich with sour dough bread at about 12: 00 the afternoon I only got hungry passed 20: 00 the evening again

Shelves are always packed with a variety of good quality produce.
The store is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful when requiring guidance as to where to find products.
Ques at check out are sometimes long due to the stores location and great quality however grabbing a delicious coffee from the Barista mid-store makes the wait a pleasant experience.

Good inviroment.but a bit unsafe di t the pandemic there is not much been done interms of protecting the virus spread in terms of trolleys left outside and not immediatly been sanitize

The food hall is difficult to manage. Even the exit is not the clearly marked. And the food is very expensive.

Love the revamp. Store always stocked with items needed and just be aware of the queues on weekends. Otherwise great store with everything you need from shopping groceries, fresh items to clothing and a must try is the white hot chocolate at the barista

Very reliable when it comes to stock. Quick service, no longer than 3mins in a queue. Very friendly service. Fresh produce

Always a pleasure shopping at Woolworths Cavendish. Staff are friendly and helpful. Customer service team and management go the extra mile. If an item is not in stock they will try source it. Or advise where they have stock available and contact sister branch to reserve stock for you.

I was shocked to see store managers having a coffee while the customers are stand in a very long que with only 2 cashiers working. I can never understand what exactly is there role in the business because they were having a fat laugh while we are spending our time waiting to pay. I suppose we have no choice in the matter?

Great store to shop at. Great value for money on sale items. Store adheres to COVID regulations.

This Woolworths is very much like most others with the exception that it has a home store. It is on the lowest floor of the mall with Woolworths itself taking 2 floors (LG and G).

On my most recent visit the makeup department seemed bare but there was a few dedicated staff members in the department.

The foods store is moderate in size, seemingly larger than what is generally found elsewhere.

That being said. I had a fairly pleasant experience although I didn't interact much with the staff.

It felt like a dead zone. No light, or life happening in the store. Like, nothing inside the store said. "This is Woolworths"

Lovely pastries. All the nice clothes and food. Woolworths really knows how to cater for the public.

One got to love the set up of Woolworths home.you want to buy everything and set up your home.very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

Hundreds of men's shirts on sale all with no pockets. Sack the buyer. I asked four men would you buy a shirt with no pocket, all said no. Mr buyer get off your back side and get onto the floor. Speak to the customer. I've been buying at Woolworth for many years. Never seen a buyer. Look at the profit you might have lost

New layout worse than old layout. Staff rude and managers have meetings blocking aisles and don't apologise for being in the way. Lots of staff getting in the way.

One of the best Woolies foods I've been to, super nice selection of foods and a nice little chocolate bar.

Just awesome.woolies cavendish is situated in the heart of Cape Town. Cavendish is the shopping Mecca of Cape Town. Not to far out just perfectly situated. Ample parking. This woolies always smells divine.

This Woolworth's is ideally located on the corner of Cavendish Square Shopping Mall. With three or four floors it encompasses many departments for many different varieties of shopping such as men's, women's and kid's clothing departments, food and toiletries, make-up for women and the Woolworth's coffee shop/ cafe with various coffees and meals available. Always great quality at Woolies!

've been having a thing for their bags and purses lately like a fever and the feeling you get when everywhere you go everybody ask you the same question, you're like i know what you wanna ask me but go ahead ask for it where did you buy your bag?

Probably one of the only cafés worth eating at in Cavendish Square if you’re looking for quality and value for money. Good selection of menu items, friendly staff and great service.

Thisnis most probably the best Woolie's I know/have visited. From the widest selection, to a great layout, many manned quickly moving tills, to all round general awesomeness.

Only visiting CPT occasionally has me missing the wide choice on offer here, that said, the Woolies we visit near our home in Gauteng is also great, no complaints. ;)

Go Woolworths!

This has always been my favourite Woollies, I didn't think they could do anything to improve because the shop and service has always been top class. Now with the revamp they are even better, if that is even possible. They stock ALL Woollies products, you search for nothing, it is all there.

There was glue on the cake marble stand, when I brought the cashier's attention- she made some kind of an excuse not to get one

This morning the 18 th of July I went to this branch.
My daughter asked me to see if I could get her this bra as she got the last one at Sun Valley.

I approached this young lady her name was Gabriella what outstanding service did this young lady provide me.

Please can this be relayed to her and her boss.
So much appreciated that is why I keep shopping at Woolworths.

It's a bit pricey but the groceries here are nice and fresh. The pastries are amazing. I like the bread too.
I go here when I think I deserve a treat!

How can you advertise a 2 for 1 special and then when you have to pay for it the teller tells you, you need a woolworths card. That’s false advertising and I was very disappointed.

If you wear x-small or x-large clothing, this is the place to go. For the rest of us, don't expect to find anything.

I visited Woolworths, revamped, but the Sushi bar is right under the escalator, very unhygienic. All the pastries by the bakery are open on the table. Surely the management can think that people are coughing and sneezing over the baked goods. Not pleasant at all. The croissants and other baked goods should be covered for hygienic purposes. I definitely would not buy at this bakery.

Delicious chicken burger and fries. Wouldn't stop by without having a frosted latte either - best ice coffee ever world wide in my opinion. However, they often run out of ingredients or dishes and are always very busy.

I can only hope that the layout of the food hall is temporary. It is a random arrangement of products and the aisles are narrow

My favourite Woolies store in the Western Cape, from the Clarins counter, and perfume section, groceries and clothes. Good service. 10/10

Amazing, blows your mind how big it is. So envious of you all here in Cape Town. Such a great place to shop. Nothing near to this in Vryheid. Cavendish is definitely from another world.

The only shop that was open in Cavendish despite the loadshedding. Top class and quality service.

Went to the Woolies express coffee shop. Always friendly service. You get a 10% discount off beverages with W rewards card. Limited on the go food. 3 sandwhich types only and a smoothie. A bit over priced for what you get.

True to the look and feel of Wooolworhs stores across the country. Special selected products. If I must highlight certain products: fruits and vegetables, always fresh baked goods. Pastas and sauces not found at other retailers. Meats, seafood and definitely platters and on the go ready made dishes. Milk, free range eggs, bread lasts long. Clean and wide aisles. Enough manned tills. Special aisle for waiting for open tills. Professional staff. Quick service. Good variety clothes. Cater for men, woman and kids. Large store. I am a happy customer. Will go back.

They decided that it would be a good idea to devide the cashiers in the food section up into express (less than 10 items) and normal, dedicating half to express. Seeing that it is one of their bigger shops, most do bigger shopping there and less convenience shopping. Needless to say ever since you will have to que for a very long time. Just before Chrismas I waited 40 minutes in the que, while there was hardly a shopper in the express que.

It is time they focus on the customers - until then rather go to one of their competitors
