I love it! Comfy, yet very sturdy!

Very sturdy and warm. I really like this jacket.

Let me start this review saying that I absolutely LOVED my old Carhartt jacket, but after 11 years in the field, it was time to go. I ordered my new jacket during the summer before the winter season hit. I very quickly tried it on just to make sure it wasn't too big or small, then tossed it in the closet and forgot about it. Fast forward 4 months. It's getting cold out and it's time to bust out the Carhartt. After 10 minutes of wear, I realized it was not right. The cuffs were SO TIGHT my arms started to go numb. Of course, 4 months had gone by since I bought it and thus, the exchange window had gone with it. So, I tried everything to loosen the cuffs up up: washing, stretching, praying for them to not be so tight. It didn't work. In frustration, I got the genius idea of cutting the cuffs right down the middle. I threw the jacket on and it was a miracle! The cuffs didn't cut off circulation anymore! But now, the stiff duck fabric rubs against my knuckle any time I move and I am in pain when I wear it. To sum up: I loved my old jacket but hate the new one....and it's all my fault.

Good fit and style

The bottom of the coat could use a way to draw it tighter as wind does come up from underneath. The pockets take in this air from underneath. That is the reason for 4 stars. Jacket is stiff and heavy, may be softer after worn in. Color is great and style is cute. Sleeves do have the tight hand sleeve so air does not come up the sleeves. I could have ordered a small but wanted to wear layers under and also the small was a bit tight in the shoulders when moving the arms.
