A two centuries old palace converted into a hotel, WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace offers a concoction of medieval charm with the modern amenities. The main portion of the two centuries old Palace was built during the reign of the late Maharawal Jawahir Singh. This palace is testimony to the history of Jaisalmer with different portions of the palace being built by different rulers of Jaisalmer till as late as the beginning of the twentieth century. ‘Badal Vilas’, a unique tower like structure at Mandir Palace is the tallest structure in town below the hill-top city fort, reminding us of the incredible historical relevance attached to both the palace as well as the city of Jaisalmer.

One word that defines this place of stay is "wow". Moment you enter the palatial gate, you feel like royal. The extreme courtesies extended by every staff makes you feel so comfortable. Though my schedule was a little hectic, I could sense the peace you get here, the staffs who make you feel at home, cleanliness of every nook and corner and not just your room, jigsaw puzzle you enjoy traversing the corridors and garden, view from rooftop restaurant etc. Services in these difficult times of corona is excellent adhering to all precautionary measures put in place. I could find it difficult to identify anything that would have made me uneasy. Bhojaraj ji, you and your team deserves praise. People like you make our place the best, since you follow "atithi devo bhava" culture which we have inherited

Don't be afraid of the cost. You'll be staying where kings stay. That is the reason and to enjoy the heritage. This place is situated right at the centre of the city. So everything is nearby. You can walk but prefer taking an auto as You'll be walking more during the sight seeing. The staffs are very helpful and courteous. You'll have a splendid time here. They let us early check in at 10am and overstay till 12pm which is a boon for people who are coming early morning and visiting desert camp after the city. When my wife and I went to the pool, they were trimming the garden plants, they left to give us some privacy. This is what makes this place great. It really felt amazing. You can book this place without a second thought. They have desert safari availability for people who don't want to do desert camp. They even have cooking classes here to teach you how to make biryani and other dishes as well.

Cons
1. The water is the pool has very high flourine content so it burned our eyes if we opened it underwater.
2. Water bottle is too expensive. All hotels do this and I don't condone this but it is my opinion that mrp labelled products should be sold at that price.
3. The water heater in our room was not working properly or the outflow was slow maybe. We didn't care about it since it was during off season, we didn't mind some cold water. But if it's a must ask them.

his is top notch. Great service from the minute we arrived, faultless check in. An extremely well maintained hotel. Lovely room where everything was quality and everything maintained and working. Great restaurant - breakfasts were to a high standard, everything spotless and food well presented and tasty. We stayed for two nights and had dinner in the restaurant on both occasions. Once again the food was excellent and service was great.

This is a family run hotel who take a real pride in what they do. The staff are well trained and so friendly and courteous. We were a party of five and had three rooms between us. I think we all rated this as the best run and best presented hotel on our trip. Just a pleasure to stay here and could have easily stayed longer.

This is an excellent place to stay in Jaisalmer in terms of - Rooms & Amenities quality, location (centrally located), food, hospitality and over all hotel (haveli) look & feel.

We booked Deluxe room and that was really spacious, comfortable bed, spacious and clean bathroom. Rooms are provided with kettle and tea etc, television, air conditioner, dressing table and other nice furnishings. Bathroom had hot running water, was very clean, had all toiletries available.

This is actually a mini palace a part of which is still being used by royal family and part is being used as Hotel. In fact inside hotel premises there is one section used by royal family often moving around and having food with guests in buffet. There is also a nice museum within hotel premises. Many movies like Sarfarosh and Nanhe Jaisalmer were shot here. Overall a very beautiful and scenic hotel.

The location is in central Jaisalmer so all sigh seeing like various Haveli's, Fort, Sadar Bazar, Bhatia market, Hinglaaj Daal Pakwan, Gadesar Lake etc, are hardly few minutes run.

The food tastes really good, whether it is breakfast or any other meal of the day. The staff is really courteous and takes good care while one is having meals. The terrae restaurant has really good view of the fort in the evening. You will enjoy having meals there.

Each and every person working in there is really courteous and polite. I don't remember any instance when any passing by staff had not wished us. Even the cleaning staff cleaning the pathways pause for a moment and wish you in case you are passing by. They really made our stay memorable with their politeness and well mannered behavior.

It is such nicely maintained that you might want to skip most of the Haveli's (well now I will say no need to visit any Haveli). Due to the mini museum you will find it much better than all of them.

I would highly recommend everyone to stay in this hotel whenever you visit Jaisalmer, at least I will whenever I visit next.

Our stay in Mandir Palace in Jaisalmer was magical. This palace is a wonderful historic work of architecture with intricate carvings. From the rooftop restaurant we enjoyed great views of the fort. The food and the traditional musical program accompanying dinner on the terrace made the stay even more enjoyable. The owners who hail from the Royal family of Jaisalmer, took the time to meet with us and exchange pleasantries. During my stay, the beauty of the palace inspired me to sketch the buildings.

Welcomehiritage Madir Palace is a heritage property, one of the sections of the palace is converted into hotel, while other sections house a museum and residential palace for royal family. The architecture and interior décor of the palace is attractive which provides an impressive / majestic feeling. Inhouse guests can visit the museum free, while entry fee is applicable for outsiders. The entire property is nicely maintained. We stayed in a Deluxe Room in early Oct’23, we were allotted a room facing garden, the room was reasonably spacious, well maintained and fitted with a double bed, small TV, AC, chairs etc., however, wished they provided a wardrobe in the room. The washroom was spacious and neatly maintained too and provided with basic toiletries. The location of the property is perfect, it is situated in the midst of market and at close proximity and walkable distance to several tourist attractions, restaurants etc. We had breakfast and dinner at their inhouse restaurant. When we visited in the early Oct’23, there was limited guests in the hotel, hence dinner was served on ala-carte basis at rooftop restaurant with live local music. There were options to choose for dinner, while breakfast had normal spreads. The foods were customized and tasty. The rooftop provides a nice view of the fort. The staffs were courteous and responsive. Overall, a comfortable stay at a heritage palace in the middle of the city.

This hotel is a palace in every sense of the word! It is the actual residence of the current royal family and part of the palace has been converted into a hotel. It is magnificent, every inch of its sandstone structure is intricately carved out! It is actually unbelievably grand and so exciting to be staying in a real palace! The Royal treatment starts from check in with typical warm Rajasthani hospitality. The manager Mr Bhoojraj is impeccably polite and efficient. Every query is answered patiently, every request met efficiently. We stayed in the Golden Suite which was luxurious and spacious with beautiful views of the courtyard through the Jharokhas! There is a very attractive rooftop with views of the Jaisalmer Fort. The sunset from this terrace is memorable. Every view from any corner of this palace hotel affords you a vision of breathtaking Rajasthani architecture! There is a daily guided tour of the hotel, at any time you wish, which is free for the residents.
The hotel is well located, the outside is congested but very convenient for buying provisions, snacks and sweets. There is a very good restaurant called Trio just 200 m from the hotel, serving delicious Rajasthani food on their rooftop with a fabulous view of the Fort!
The only thing I feel that should be improved is the quality of the food and cooking. For a hotel of this stature , the breakfast was very simple with not much of a choice and disinterested cooking and presentation. However, this is a very small negative and I would strongly say that look no further if you want to enjoy the experience of staying in a palace at a very affordable rate!

Everything starting from the room, hygeine, cleanliness was perfect right from day one. The food was just too good. Dinner at the rooftop restaurant was an amazing experience. The restaurant on the first floor also ahs a warm and soothing ambience. The swimming pool is a cool delight !!
The museum, the gallery, the way they have kept the old arms and pictures is just amazing.
The बैठक जी of Shri Harirayji Mahaprabhuji adds holiness to the atmosphere.
The best part of this Hotel are its staff. They do not make u feel as if you are at a hotel. They make u feel at home. The Chef Aaveersingh made food to suit my taste. Jaswant Singh ji the restaurant manager was also so warm and hospitable, every single time. I live the Dal baati churma , pakode wali kadhi, saag, and all other items served by the team. The maitainence and housekeeping staff found my misplaced ring and handed over to me.
Certainly a FIVE STAR property in all aspects. I strongly recommend this to everyone who comes to Jaisalmer. Your search for the best stay ever, ends here at Welcomgroup Heritage Mandir Palace,Jaisalmer .

We 14 cousins with our spouses and kids (18 kids) decided for a long due get together and booked this hotel in Jaisalmer. We came at lunch time and the guy at reception told us to “control” our kids. Next in Restaurent while having lunch the server said to us that “don’t make noise or else leave the restaurant” for which we said “look boss kids can’t be kept entirely shush” he replied by “if they can’t thn you all should check out from the property right away”. We were in a shock!! How can a server rudely say to leave the hotel on some kids having fun. We handled the situation and let go as we didn’t wanted any problem in our get together. Next morning reception guy called us in every room at 8am for checkout for which I said “dude it’s 8am how can you force us for check out” he didn’t say anything and cut the call. At 10:00 am bell boys came on the door for luggage and I said we didn’t called for any bell boy, the bell boy said no you’ll have to check out now as your guest have started to come!!! I said that we are not prepared for check out yet and your check out timings are 11:00 am, and by that time I had loose my temper and I started scolding the reception and bell boys.
Geyser not working properly in rooms, food is very bad, rude behaviour!! Worthless hotel in Jaisalmer.
