This was a brilliant place to stay for such a reasonable price. The reception from the owner was a little odd, and although it didn't make any difference to us the strict 2-4pm check in isn't very customer friendly. However, the room was very clean and it was a fun novelty to stay in a wigwam for the night. Yes, it's dated and I'm not sure it's possible to buy a smaller TV, but we were expecting a 50s authentic style so were very happy with the room. Actually we thought it was the rest of Holbrook that was pretty weird, not one of our favourite towns on Route 66.

We stayed here on our route 66 road trip and i was so excited to get here! Then we arrived.... the rooms where ....OK.... and the lady in the front office was rude so that annoyed me. She didn't even crack a smile. The room was just above average for cleanliness. I would recommend to anyone who is considering to stay here to find somewhere else and just stop her for photos.

Great little motel along route 66. I was looking forward to staying here for photo opportunities if nothing else but it was absolutely great. The service was friendly and welcoming, the old cars parked outside and are fabulous extra and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had wig-wam 3 and my husband and I slept like logs. I don't know if I could stay here for many nights but we thoroughly enjoyed our one night here and would definitely stay here again. Fabulous.

We did not actually stay here, though we wish we had. It is well worth a look round, just to see all the lovely old cars, all kept in great condition. We had a look inside one of the wigwams and they looked cosy and lovely.

Stayed one night here with my wife whilst on route 66. This really is a must do when in this part of the world. The rooms are just the bare essentials really, but it is so quirky, we both just loved staying here. The rooms are clean, compact and so cute. We also had our own vintage car outside too! Really enjoyed our stay.

If you are taking a road trip down Route 66, this is a must. It is old, somewhat worn, and in a town that offers little, but what a trip in the past. They have cars of the era sitting in the parking lot to add to the atmosphere. The rooms are tiny, but much more spacious than you would have expected and clean. The shower is a trip all by itself, the walls angle like the teepee, of course. The air conditioner was loud, and the TV was tiny, and there is no wifi. The owner could do some appropriate upgrades and charge more and staying there would even be better. But, what can you expect for less than $100.00. The whole deal of Route 66 is to experience the past, and this is what it does. If you want luxury keep on driving, if you want to "get your kicks on route 66", stop.

Stayed one night on trip from Petrified Forest to Grand Canyon. Cute, clean rooms, friendly staff, and quiet area. There's no pool but we only stayed one night. Don't miss this place if you get a chance to sleep in a wigwam.

Come to the Wigwam Motel, at Holbrook, expecting the worse and you may well be pleasantly surprised! If you are fastidious then give it a miss, but if you are up for a bit of fun, like us, it’s a great experience. Certainly there is a lot to be desired and it would not be a lot to expect towels that did not have holes in them and a toilet that flushed properly but all in all we spent a great night there. It was very cosy and we will be reminiscing about it for a long time. But… one night is enough, really. It was a great experience in a surprisingly good size of room and the demand for the wigwams is excessive - be sure to book in advance, as we did (by email, direct), we did not arrive until 8:30pm and another ‘camper’ said that they could have let our room twenty times over! With that size of supply and demand the price must be said to be very reasonable. Go for it.

The is a very old property, but it is well kept and clean. The price is right. This is great for anyone who wants to experience the nostalgia of Route 66. The only complaints I have is that the shower head needs replaced and the shower did not drain (unit #10). We also had difficulty working the heat. There was no one to tell as the desk clerk is only there from 4pm-9pm.

Stopped at the Wig Wams on our Route 66 holiday. It was very basic room with old tv and air con unit. Two double beds and a bathroom which was how can I phrase it....similar to the cells where I used to work at police station. Through the night loud trains blowing air horns as they passed through Holbrook. Funnily enough though slept great. Cool and quiet and nice grill bar nearby. Wife refused to have shower but I wasn't bothered. The wig Wams had old cars outside which made them quirky. Don't think I would stay again but if you on a budget would be ideal.

CHEAP! Our room was $69 including everything, tax, etc. It was fun. But I wouldn't want to stay too long. My wife had an issue with the little weird shower....nothing wrong with it, she'a a Hyatt Resort kind of a girl. LOL
