#SundayWalks by the River #Winter #January #Haiku – Rereading Jane Eyre

#SundayWalks by the River #Winter #January #Haiku

January, New Year,
Clear blue skies, damp paths,
Leafless trees filter weak sun.
Weak rays bounce, water ripples,
Empty stone seat waits
For someone to sit.

Proud duck rules river,

Ancient Mosque shivers and sighs,

Perhaps Spring is near.
