While the Super Bowl is historically steeped in tradition, there always seems to be something new added to the equation each year.
Fox will become the latest network to debut a new score bug during the big game, replacing the graphic it began using in Super Bowl 54 and deploying a new one to keep viewers updated with vital information, including the Chiefs and Eagles score, time remaining, play clock and timeouts left.
Beyond the score bug, Fox's graphics are expected to have a different look. That means the screen could look much different after a touchdown than it did during regular season games on the network.

According to the New York Post, Fox's revamped graphics package is a continuation of the tradition of networks "trying to distinguish the Super Bowl from regular-season and playoff games."

NBC debuted a new score bug when it hosted Super Bowl 56 a year ago, and Fox had a new score bug plus fresh graphics for Super Bowl 54 when the Chiefs last won a championship.
Fox producer Brad Zager told the New York Post that the changes won't be too drastic but said the new score bug will give the broadcast a "modernized" look. Another Fox producer, Richie Zyontz, told the Philadelphia Inquirer that whether certain new graphics get used might depend on how the game plays out.
