Nah its pretty much accepted that beats are garbage for a $300 price point. They sound like $150 cans at best.

Well yeah in comparison to everything else available in the 200-500 dollar price range yeah they're pretty damn bad if you're looking for sound quality in a pair of headphones. Especially in comparison to the offerings from brands like Beyer, Audio Technica, Sennheiser ect which all have plenty of offerings covering different kinds of frequency responses depending on your tastes. If you're looking for a fashion accessory then I guess it'd probably be the best brand for that due to its recognizability for better or worse.
ATH-M50 and Sennheiser HD-280 are both priced around $100 and are significantly better than Beats. I try to preach that to anyone I know and they always just go to the beats for whatever reason

I bought the in-ear ones and I love them, the sound quality it better than skullcandy and those are like $60, so definitely worth the extra 40.

To my understanding Tupac was going to start his own record label and break away from Death Row. This would cease Suge's biggest artist at the time to keep bringing him more money.
Suge owed pac a lot of royalties and tupac was going to take all his masters and go some where else with them,
I think the somewhere else he was going to go was his own record label. But yeah I forgot to mention the royalties part. That's one of the reasons that he decided to leave Suge, despite Suge bailing Tupac out of jail.
I think books have been written about this conspiracy theory, and my knowledge of the situation is very basic but as I understand it the prevailing theory was that Pac was tired of Suge/Death Row and planned on leaving to start his own label and would take / try to take all his unreleased material with him. Suge figured Pac was much more profitable to him dead than alive at that point.
You see, I always thought this was a no-brainer. If someone released a song to the public that opens with "that's why fucked your bitch you fat motherfucker!", and the guy was talking about my wife, I'd probably kill him, or have him killed. That's why always thought it was Big.
