WWE Survivor Series 2021 – Match card, predictions, rumours, date and start time

Raw vs SmackDown as each newly-shook-up brand battles for supremacy.

Survivor Series is still seen as one of the WWE's Big Four, but some have argued that it should maybe lose that spot to Money in the Bank.

To that, we say, NO! Sure, Survivor Series has diminished in stature over the years. The battle for brand supremacy means less and less, especially when it happens five minutes, after a WWE Draft.

But there's still decads of tradition behind Survivor Series, and it's a unique event that pitches not only Brand vs Brand, but also Champion vs Champion, when wrestlers truly on an equal pegging go head to head to shout about who's best.

One year ago, the WWE changed forever when The Undertaker made his Final Farewell at Survivor Series 2020.

No more Deadman, and it feels as though the new era the WWE had been teasing since WrestleMania XXX has come to pass.

Well, more or less. The likes of Bobby Lashley, Brock Lesnar and (incredibly) Goldberg are still popping up now and again, but in the main we're looking at a 21st century crop of superstars.

What's the full match card and predictions for WWE Survivor Series 2021?

Team Raw (Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Carmella, and Queen Zelina) vs. Team SmackDown (Sasha Banks, Shayna Baszler, Shotzi, Natalya, and TBA) [5-on-5 Survivor Series Match

WWE

On both the Blue and Red brands in recent years, there's a strong argument that too many talented women have been given not-enough time to make the impact they're more than capable of.

It was noticed that the entire length of the whole Queen's Crown tournament could fit in a good sized singles' men's match (or overlong Taker entrance...), and it seems like the people booking the space on cards aren't interested beyond the title matches.

So here's a chance for everyone to show how foolish an approach that is, from recent titleholders Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks, to Queen Zelina on.

On paper it's aboslutely too tough to call. For every major talent on Team Raw you can easily spot a counter on Team SmackDown.

But we're here to predict things, so we'll stick our necks out and give this one to Team Raw, which seems to have the right combination of pace, power and trickery to overcome the Blue Brand,

PREDICTION: Team Raw (Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Carmella, and Queen Zelina)

Team Raw (Seth Rollins, Finn Bálor, Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley, and Austin Theory) vs. Team SmackDown (Drew McIntyre, Jeff Hardy, King Woods, Happy Corbin, and TBA)

WWE

Sure, the teams aren't complete and it doesn't feel like we've even worked out all the possible angles here, but this match looks like a total riot.

So many different styles, characters and backstories means that we can't wait to see who eliminates who, and who annoys the hell out of their own teammates.

On paper, despite the strength of Drew McIntyre, the skills of Xavier Woods and the strange of Jeff Hardy, we've gotta give this to Team Raw.

There's just too much pure talent on that team, which is packed with ex and recent champions, to count them out.

PREDICTION: Team Raw (Seth Rollins, Finn Bálor, Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley, and Austin Theory)

Becky Lynch (WWE Raw Women's Champion) vs. Charlotte Flair (WWE SmackDown Women's Champion)

WWE

This is the WrestleMania main event many people were baying for before we got the (admittedly brilliant, at least until the finish) Becky/Charlotte/Ronda Rousey Triple Threat.

These two have managed to forge a rivlary that pips Sasha Banks vs Bayley and probably even Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn for sheer bitterness and edge... and we absolutely love it.

There's plenty of babble around the dirt screens that there's absolutely zero love lost between these two, which just makes this an even more exciting prospect.

Both these wrestlers seem to have the measure of their own brands at the moment, but this face-off gives both more to think about than they've had for a while.

It could go any which way, but we think Flair has just enough rage in the tank to push herself to victory, here.

PREDICTION: Charlotte Flair

Big E (WWE Champion) vs. Roman Reigns (WWE Universal Champion)

wwe survivor series 2021big e vs roman reigns
WWE

Plenty going on in this battle of the champs.

Big E may have shocked some people when he picked up the Money in the Bank briefcase, but he's proved that he more than earned it with his assured title reign so far.

On the other side is the Head of the Table. The Big Dog. It's not always been clean and it's rarely been pretty, but Roman Reigns has trundled away every obstacle in his path since his turn to the dark side and Paul Heyman – including a returning Brock Lesnar.

While The Usos may have other things on their mind (see below) and The New Day will be fresh and ready without a match of their own, we still can't see past RR's dominance.

PREDICTION: Roman Reigns

RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle) (Raw Tag Team Champions) vs. The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) (SmackDown Tag Team Champions)

wwe survivor series 2021 rkbro vs the usos
WWE

The Odd Couple vs the genuine brothers.

While Jimmy and Jey have had their ups and downs, blood is always thicker than water, and The Usos are always stronger together

On the other side, Randy Orton and Riddle has absolutely zero business working as a tag team, but sometimes opposites not only attract, but also bring out the best in each other.

RK-Bro have been an absolute delight as competitors and camel-riding champions, and while we STILL think it'll surely end in tears, we don't think that time is just yet.

With Roman Reigns otherwise occupied, we'll give this to the strange duo.

PREDICTION: RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle)

Damian Priest (United States Champion) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (Intercontinental Champion) (with Rick Boogs)

wwe survivor series 2021 shinsuke nakamura vs damian priest
WWE

A battle of the secondary titles. Both the US Championship and Intercontinental Championship have struggled over the last decade to hold on to the lustre of yesteryear.

There have been flashes here and there (John Cena's US Open era was short-lived but legendary), but no matter how talented the holder has been, the stories have rarely lived up to the title's billing.

That's even true when someone of the calibre of Shinsuke Nakamura holds the IC Title, but he's doing everything he can to change that.

Over on the other side, you've Damian Priest who, while he's no spring chicken, likely sees his strap as a stepping stone more than an end goal – a chance to get to a top tier title opportunity.

For that reason we'll give it to Damien.

PREDICTION: Damien Priest
