The rescheduled Euro 2020 UEFA European Championship football tournament took place in 11 host cities across Europe. The Euro 2020 final between Italy v England was played at Wembley Stadium in London, at 8pm UK Time (BST) on 12 July 2021. Italy beat England 3-2 on penalties after extra time to become the euro cup winners 2021. The European football championship was originally the UEFA European Nations Cup before it was renamed to the UEFA European Championship in 1968 but is more commonly referred to “the Euros” or Euro 2024 (including the year).
