The lobby is pretty, but the rooms are small and unreasonably expensive. We had the grand suite and there was clearly furniture missing as there was just a large open space next to the window in the bedroom where there should have been some sort of seating area. Also, the furniture from the pictures on their website did not match what was in our room.
On the first day we arrived, we asked to extend our stay by a day. The manager on duty told us no problem and it would be done. The day before our last day, we were told it was time to check out. We found out that the manager never extended our stay. So we had to pack up all our stuff and move to a much smaller room because someone else had already booked our suite.
The A/C in our room was also not working correctly. It was blowing hot air to the point that it was 78 degrees in our room when we had the a/c set to 66. We called the front desk twice in one day to ask them to send someone to fix it and they said they would and never did. Finally, the next day, we called again and they sent someone who was able to fix it.
Such a waist of money! A bunch of "yes, sirs" and "yes, ma'am's" and then they don't follow it up with any action. - Caprice M.Clements, CA3873823Jun 19, 2023
I recently had the displeasure of staying at Sheraton grand downtown Tennessee and I must say, it was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment I stepped foot into this dreadful. We had to switch rooms my blow dryer blew up and none of our plugs worked in our room however they downstairs a young lady named Ashley reacted to what was going on they comped US money back she switched our rooms and she made it very comfortable for us to stay here she also gave us two free breakfasts for 2 days in a row so if it wasn't for this young lady named Ashley we probably would have been real disappointed thank you very much

We had a great stay at the Sheraton Grand. The staff is friendly and the hotel was clean. I liked the complimentary coffee in the lobby in the morning and the free water. We didn't realize that Nashville was so "hilly". It was easy getting "down" to Broadway, but coming "up" to the hotel took some effort. LOL! It's a great place to stay, but next time we may try to stay closer to the action of Broadway and avoid those hills. Cheers!

So, it was my first time here and I had just upgraded to gold I asked Sharon/ sheylom if I had any upgrades and she didn't even looked at her computer and said we are sold out an have nothing. she couldn't even be PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE! Sheraton, if you are into customer service this girl was no where near customer friendly, please address her?!MARRIOTT, which, I booked thru my bonvoy account, address this, bc of her attitude and unfriendly, unwelcome attitude, picture how many customers/clients y'all lost!!!
Great view tho!!! Only thhhing!!!!!! - Steven P.Pittsburgh, PA1412013Feb 21, 2023
Coming from a Marriott platinum rewards member--Just came back to my room not late by Nashville standards by any means 11:45pm... No running water... Room phone doesn't work to call front desk... I call the hotel from my mobile and she says "maintenance issues, water down until 5 am"..... can't wash my hands can't take a shower, can't flush a toilet... paying over $300 a night for this service.. zero notice.. front desk says "we left a note under every door." No note under my door.. this is gross and completely unacceptable. I'd expect this from a Comfort Inn or Red roof inn.. not a Sheraton grand in downtown Nashville.

Water outage and unadvertised construction.

Business trip. Widespread construction that
was never advertised. Today, the water went
out completely with zero timetable for a return.
Staff at front desk would not pick up phone.
Went through Ambassador desk to get any
help. Ultimately spoke with the manager,
Kristofer, who was indifferent, lacked any
empathy, and unapologetic. Please avoid this
hotel. - Alan H.TN, TN04Mar 12, 2023
First let me say, the downtown location is great. It's wonderful that they have no pet charges, and they have very nice and friendly staff.
I'd love to give this hotel a higher rating but it has some short-comings that I feel should be addressed by the owners and managers.
Handicap accessibility and parking - no place for those with physical disabilities to really park close unless you count valet parking as the solution ($60 a day). Most of the parking starts on the 5th floor unless you are valet parking. Seems guests who have to get to a vehicle should be closer or lower levels to the hotel who have to walk versus staff who park and go get your cars. Also, there appears to be no rooms on the first floor so an elevator is it and if you have an elderly, anxiety ridden dog this does not work well.
Parking fees - until we arrived we really were unaware about the parking fees having booked through an 800 number. $50 a night plus taxes for each vehicle. Not cheap, especially if you are paying for two vehicles.
Pet Friendly - they do take pets of most sort - cats and dogs - but there is no close bathroom for a dog to relieve themselves. Having checked on some of the other downtown hotels this seems to be a similar issue. A small dog park area for this purpose close to a hotel would be an excellent add on and would make things easier on owners. Just remember elderly dogs can't long distances to relieve themselves.
Calling 800 number related to disability - we indicated that we had a person with a disability and they said that they would give us a lower floor but that did not occur. We also informed them we had a dog with physical limitations and anxiety and spent the weekend stressing as to how to get her to the bathroom from the higher floors.
Overall, great hotel but not an overly friendly hotel for persons or animals with disabilities. - Sep 12, 2020
The Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown is super modern and beautiful. The spacious rooms offer luxury bedding, towels and amenities. My room was spotless, quiet and very comfortable. The location is perfect if you want to be close to the Nashville Historic District, Music City Center, Tennessee Performing Arts Center and more.
The hotel has an indoor pool, business center, 24 hour fitness center and serves over 50 varieties of bourbon in the Library Bar. The Library is their signature restaurant that is locally sourced and serves lunch and dinner.
The staff is amazing from front desk to housekeeping. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. - David W.Lawndale, CA03221Oct 30, 2022
Overall, it was just okay. The drinks are a 5 on a scale of 10 in the rooftop bar and the ambiance is lacking. They need to provide better food options for The Library Bar in the lobby, and you shouldn't feel like your room needs a handy man. Their sister property, The Renaissance, is a far superior choice.

We recently were able to stay at this wonderfully located hotel in downtown Nashville and overall we were very pleased with our stay. My wife was down on business and I decided to tag along and experience some of the hospitality Nashville has to offer.
Check in was a snap and we were on our way to our room in just a few minutes. Take notice that this hotel in "music city" offers free loaner record players and vinyl records to enjoy in your room. Very cool feature.
Room was nice and had pretty spectacular views of the city. I do expect that in the future, with covid behind us that the room service will resume and that the Lounge for members will reopen. I almost feel that a large portion of hotels and businesses in our country have, for too long, used the phrase, "due to covid 19", to no longer provide the service that they used to.
Skye lounge up on the upper most floor is a hit as well as the Library Bar on the lobby floor. Everyone behind the bar was kind and courteous and chatted us up along our visits.
A few short blocks of walking and you're right in the middle of the downtown music scene. All of the parks and museums can all be done on foot if the weather is nice as well.
For sure we would come back and stay here. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay as well.
