Mike and Olivia new each other when they were younger this story says it was a enemies to lovers its a little more complicated then that. Mike is slightly obsessed by Olivia he has thought allot about Olivia sense she left for college and they only ever had one kiss. He's a player who never quite got over a single kiss now she's back next door with her young son it brings up emotions and frustration for Mike. So naturally there bickering again.
Olivia has thought about Mike in the sense that she wonders what mite have been. But after her divorce and moving home with her son she never expected to see Mike still living next door he still makes her frustrated and irritated not to mention he is still hot and he knows it. To distract herself she starts seeing a work friend of Mike's it doesn't work out well. Mike and Olivia both make each other jealous and Mikes work buddy gets aggressive after he realizes that Olivia doesn't want him. Olive and Mike do get together but it's not perfect and Tommy the other guy won't make things easier for them it eventually leads to Olivia and Mike going there separate ways but thats not the end of thing's. So read the book and find out if Mike and Olivia were able to fix things.

Olivia and Mike were great characters and were full of layers. If you like second chance romances you'll enjoy this book. Well-written with lots of twists and plenty of steam. A love-hate relationship as they were next-door neighbors until she went away to school. Years later she's a divorced single mom back home in her parents home that she inherited. After much ado and explosive chemistry, there's a HEA. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review.

Olivia and her son Chase just moved into her child home after losing her parents. It’s the first time she has been home in ten years and the first neighbor she runs into is her former bully. She can’t fight the pull she feels toward him but she knows it’s not right, this is her biggest enemy or is he?? 🖤🖤

Absolutely Awesome Read, well written, great characters, Awesome story line, easy read to hold you on their journey, this genre might not be for everyone but its a really wonderful story cannot wait for more from this Author.

I did not like this story, there was too much emotional abuse and no real back story for why Mike treated Olivia the way he did. I did not like that he used another woman sexually to get Olivias attention and the way he treated her made it seem like it is not okay to say no to sex just because you share a kiss. He valles her a tease and made it seem like she acted and did everything wrong because she talked to and smiles at men. The way she was made out to be wrong and all the things he said and did to her was som wrong.

Mike and Olivia’s relationship has always been a difficult one even going back to when she was a teenager. Their one intimate interaction came when she had graduated from high school and was on her way to college the next day. Now years later after a divorce and now a single mother, Olivia is back living in her parent’s home she inherited. They still have animosity towards each other not to mention a coworker who is out for revenge. Can Mike pull it all together for them to start over and redo what went wrong for a second chance at happiness? I voluntarily agreed to receive an Arc for an honest review.

I loved it! I really enjoyed the enemies to lovers aspect of this one, it has the best HEA ending to it, looking forward to what I find next by this same author.

not the best read
I found the writing to be choppy and not flow. There didn’t seem to be a lot of chemistry between the two characters.

This book just didn't cut it. I found it hard to believe they were grown adults and not teenagers. They didn't know anything about communication and constantly used ignoring as a method to TRY, big emphasis on try, to solve their problems. I found both the main characters to be lacking. The drama also made no sense, and the writing felt off.

A good enemy to lovers story
Mike always picked on Olivia whilst they attended school together. On the night before she was leaving to start college they finally share one pantie burning kiss.
A Kiss that Mike had never truly forgotten. But that was years ago. A lot has happened since. He was now a grown up with his own business that was finally thriving with new contracts coming in all the time. He had a good bunch of friends and ;life was good. That was until Olivia moved next door. And she had a son in tow.
As soon as these two started talking again the sexual banter is electric. They cant seem to agree on anything. The music is too loud ect…….
When one of Miles buddies ask if there is any reason he cant pursue Olivia Mick wishes he the best of luck!! But then Mike cant seem to get her out of his mind. And he really does try to get his mind off Olivia But will it work??
This is a great read That made me laugh at times and I loved the banter between them, It was an easy read. I didnt see some of the twists and turns so It was an exciting read!

This is a wonderful 2nd chance at love story about Olivia, her young son and Mike. These two have been neighbors since Mike and his family moved in when they were teenagers and Olivia embarrassed Mike before they even meet. This did not sit well with Mike and he has teased her ever since. At Olivia’s graduation party Mike gives Olivia one unforgettable kiss they never forget. Years later Olivia’s parents pass away in an accident and she inherits the family home and decides to move home to start over after her divorce. Once these two realize they are still neighbors they are still enemies. Mike stayed in his family home while his parents retired and he created a successful construction company. Once they learn to be civil to each other their true feelings come out and boy do they enjoy being together. When a co-worker/friend tries to start a relationship with Olivia and she does not return his feelings it becomes a big issue for them and Mike could loss everything over it! Hopefully Mike can get his professional life together and open his eyes to what Olivia really means to him before it is too late! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the enemies to lovers story of Mike and Olivia. They grew up living next door to one another and they hated each other. Olivia had moved away and gotten married. After Olivia got divorced and her parents died in a car accident, she returned to her childhood home with her son. Mike was still living next door and owned his own construction company. Mike was also known as a playboy. When they saw each other, they still had a little hostility, but there was also a mutual attraction. Mike knew Olivia would be trouble and he vowed to stay away from her, but one of his employees, Tommy, wanted to date her. Mike said he was fine with it, even if he wasn't and Tommy asked Olivia out. Olivia didn't really have feelings for Tommy and was using him to make Mike jealous. When Olivia ended things with Tommy, Mike knew he had a chance to be with her. When Tommy returned and tried to force himself on Olivia, Mike stepped in and things got complicated for Mike. I liked this book, but i thought Mike was too hot and cold with Olivia. I think Olivia knew what she wanted and she wanted to be with Mike, but he was unsure. Good one.

Typically if I don't remember a book, I don't write a review, I just remove it from my account. IN this case (caps on purpose), I feel compelled to write about what bothered me most. The male characters constantly blamed the female for how they (the men) feel. This is confusing to me. Why is the woman responsible for all the bad that happens to any of the characters? Throughout the story, the author repeats over and over that the female protagonist is "trouble" when seriously she's been dealing with the crap that life hands out to everyone. Out of nowhere "mr. nice" becomes a would-be rapist and the guy who's been jonesing for the girl next door blames her for the aftermath. Not to mention it took this dude forever to decide to intervene to save the girl from being raped. I struggled with this book and I really wanted to like it because the storyline sounded so promising. In the end, it felt sloppy and rushed, like the author wasn't sure how to wrap up all this made-up drama. This was my first and last book by Claire. D-

My first read by this author, likely also my last. I did not care for her incredibly flat writing style at all but I kept reading and hoping. . .
. . .until I got to the part where the "hero" was overheard by the heroine having sex with another woman (AFTER they'd both made it pretty clear they were into one another) and the "heroine" actually was turned on by the incident. What the actual FUCK??
And for an added dose of ick, he was having sex in his backyard while she was right next door in her own back yard on a semi-date with the man she was casually seeing. So basically these two were playing a very childish game of "let's see who gives in first". Ain't nobody got time for that!
This book was just a hot bag of garbage on fire and I skimmed to the end at that point. Had it been a physical book and not an ebook I was reading on my phone, I would have thrown it across the room and up against a wall. Never again Claire Angel, NEVER AGAIN!

Did not do it for me
My Next Door Neighbor by Claire Angel is not my favorite book by this author. I was sitting on the fence about the story until about half way threw when I decided that it was not really for me. I had thought the book description looked like it could be good but I struggled to finish it as Olivia and Mike just can't seem to get together and instead seem to partake is sophomoric stunts to try and get each others attention. Plus there were a number of proofreading mistakes that I had a hard time getting past.
Overall this story did not hit the spot for me. But remember that this is just my opinion and everyone has their own so you may just love this story.

Enemies to lovers. Mike and Olivia had an impact on each other as teenagers and shared one kiss on her 18th birthday. Mike did not know how to handle his feelings for Olivia and labeled her trouble. 10 years later he still does not know how to handle his feelings for her so he tries to ignore her and gives his friend the go ahead to date her. This cause trouble for both Mike and Olivia. In the end they recognize their love. This book rushes the last chapter and epilogue and leaves some parts of the storyline undone.

This is an enemies to lovers story. Olivia and Mike were neighbours and bullied each other until Olivia’s 18th birthday and THE kiss they shared. Olivia goes to college right after that. Fast forward 10 years: surprise! Olivia moves back after her divorce and they’re neighbours again! They’re still attracted to each other. It’s a thin line between love and hate. I liked the first part of this book better than the last part. Their behaviour was weird sometimes.

This is a second chance romance between Olivia and Mike. The author brings strong realistic characters and does a great job bringing it to life with her descriptive writing and vividly detailed scenes.She adds in twists and turns as well as the hot chemistry and pulls at your emotions throughout. I didn't care for all the bullying from Mike and how easily she could forgive him but overall it's a good book.

We are told that Mike and Olivia 'bully' each other but I don't really see it -- yes, there's animosity but a lot of what Olivia does doesn't seem to be intentional. Some reviewers have commented that the characters act weirdly at times, and I have to agree. Also, Chase is one of the most non-present kids I have seen in a long while. Finally, if you are a no - cheating romance person, this isn't the book for you. While the scene isn't cheating per se (Olivia and Mike technically aren't a couple yet) it probably will still tick you off.

Sorry, but Olivia was a huge tease! I thought it was selfish of Olivia to use Tommy for company because she admitted she wasn't into him. User!!! Mike and Olivia both acted so immature and angsty, that I could shake them! Things get cray cray and twisted! I didn't like that Olivia thought sex was the answer to a problem! WTH!! Sex is a complication, not a solution! Idiot!! Olivia was shady about Joe! #notteamOlivia ! I liked Mike better than Olivia!

I love this author. This was another wonderful read about Mike and Olivia. On Olivia's 18th birthday she and Mike shared a passionate kiss. Years later, Mike is still living in the same house, and Olivia moves back in with her son. Moves back in the same town, into the house next to Mike's. And confuses Mike who wanted to forget her.

An enjoyable and engaging book 3 in the Bad Boys in Love series! It is an enemies-to-lovers romance that is beautifully written, well-developed, and entertaining with drama, witty banter, humour, twists, and ups and downs. The characters are complex and well developed with the chemistry between them intense and undeniable. Highly recommended.

A friends/enemies to lovers romance, Mike and Olivia had been neighbors when they where younger so they are both surprised when Olivia moves back into her parents house to find Mike still living next door. An enjoyable light read, an intriguing romance, Come and follow Mike and Olivia on there romantic journey with some unexpected twists along the way.

Mike is Olivia’s neighbor, who enjoys bullying Olivia from back when she was a teenager up till now. Olivia has inherited her parents house. She is now divorced and a single mother. Mike and Olivia’s chemistry is off the charts. This book has lots of twists and turns but you will not be able to put it down. I really enjoyed reading this book.

I didn't care for this one. It didn't hold my attention/interest at all.
Mike was a jerk from the beginning to the end toward Olivia. And Olivia...not sure what to say about her. I didn't like her much either, but there isn't anything I can pinpoint.
And the storyline just seemed to be in there to fill in the gaps between bedroom sessions.
