Legendary manager and promoter Paul Heyman and boxing icon Muhammad Ali headline the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024, which is set to be inducted on Friday night in Philadelphia as WrestleMania 40 weekend kicks off.
Friday’s induction ceremony will begin directly following SmackDown.
Along with Heyman and Ali, the Class of 2024 also includes Bull Nakano, Lia Maivia, Thunderbolt Patterson, and The U.S. Express (Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham).
History of the WWE Hall of Fame
The WWE Hall of Fame was created in 1993, the year of Andre The Giant’s death. Andre was the first-ever WWE Hall of Famer, and the only member of the Class of 1993.
Following the induction of the Class of 1996, WWE did not add any new Hall of Fame members until 2004, when the induction ceremony was made a part of WrestleMania weekend.
