Relaxed Tyson Fury vows to 'eat burgers and drink beers, baby', as he weighs in with Dillian Whyte almost a stone LIGHTER than when he fought Deontay Wilder, despite vowing to go heavy at Wembley

  • Tyson Fury hit the scales 11lbs heavier than Dillian Whyte at Friday's weigh-in
  • The Gypsy King came in at 264lbs 13oz, with 'The Body Snatcher at 253lbs 4oz
  • The pair will go head-to-head in front of 94,000 fans at Wembley on Saturday
  • Fury had previously vowed to come in at the heaviest weight of his career

Tyson Fury joked he plans to 'eat burgers and drink beers' in his final 24 hours before going head-to-head with Dillian Whyte, after weighing in significantly lighter than expected at Friday's weigh-in.

The Gypsy King had vowed to come in a career-heaviest for his British blockbuster against 'The Body Snatcher' on Saturday night, but instead tipped the scales nearly a stone lighter than for his trilogy bout against Deontay Wilder.

A slimline Fury tipped the scales at 264lbs 13oz, while Whyte put on 6lbs to come in at 253lbs 4oz as the pair got one final opportunity to size each other up before fight night.

Fury is making his long-awaited UK homecoming after fighting Stateside for the best part of four years, as a hungry Whyte finally gets his shot at glory.

The Gypsy King was greeted to a champion's reception as he took to the stage at Boxpark Wembley, with a 1,000 crowd in attendance as the excitement for the heavyweight bonanza continues to build.

The bizarre love-in continued as the heavyweights came together. Instead of trash talking with menace, the two Brits about to dispute the WBC world heavyweight title embraced, tickled each other and shook hands repeatedly.

Fury, who was typically in top form as he roared to the crowd, promised: 'We're gonna give you one helluva fight.'

'You guys are f****** unbelievable!' he said, 'Come on UK! I'm so happy to be back here fighting at Wembley Stadium and you people made it happen - you all made it happen.

'Big shout out and respect to Dillian Whyte and his team, they're proper professional men and we're going to give you a real fight!

'Don't doubt us, we're going to give you a real fight, a real war.'

Despite their war of words over the years, Fury and Whyte - as they were at Wednesday's press conference - were once again entirely respectful as they came face-to-face.

The heavyweights exchanged pleasantries - and even each other's hats - as they embraced, with Fury's height advantage immediately evident.

Fury's weight advantage is only the best part of 11lbs, however, which is significantly less than what was expected.

Whyte, though, was not perturbed by Fury coming in lighter than anticipated.

'Nothing, some fights are different,' he said, when asked what impact it would make. 'Fighting a bigger guy, a much heavier guy than me.

'We're ready to go to war, trust me. I'm not worried about what he's doing.'

Thanks for joining us! That's all from us today... we'll be back tomorrow!

15:03
More from Fury
14:59
Well then, is Fury going to dance his way to victory?

Fury promised he was going to come in the heaviest of his career, but that has very much proven not to be the case.

Instead, the Gypsy King weighs in nearly a STONE lighter than in his trilogy bout against Deontay Wilder.

Perhaps it's not going to be all-out action, but a boxing masterclass?

14:55
Fury speaks!

'You guys are f****** unbelievable!!!! Come on UK!!!!

14:54
And the face-off!
14:53
Here was Fury on the scales..
14:50
Plenty of respect between the two

Whyte and Fury come together! They exchange pleasantries, and hats! It's very respectful. We'll hear from them both soon!

14:49
Wow!!! Fury comes in incredibly light!

Fury weighs in at 264 13oz!!! He was 277lbs for the Wilder trilogy!

14:48
Here comes Fury!

And here comes Fury! He's given a champion's reception... but what will he weigh?

14:47
Whyte comes in heavier than last time!

Whyte comes in at 253lbs and 4oz! That's 5lbs heavier than he was for his rematch against Povetkin!

14:46
Dillian Whyte is up first!

Whyte is up first! He's met by a chorus of boos from the Wembley crowd! Remarkable, have they forgotten he's from London! Well, I guess Fury is the champion...

14:45
And... will security be needed?

It's not just the weights we're looking out for. This afternoon is also the final opportunity for both fighters to plant a seed of doubt in the other's minds.

Will we see any antics today? Or will it be respectful, as it was - on the whole - on Wednesday.

14:43
So, will Fury come in heavy? What about Whyte?

So, the moment is here! Will Fury actually come in heavy, as he's promised throughout the build-up to the fight?

Will we even find out his true weight? He weighed in clothed for his trilogy bout against Wilder, giving nothing away.

Whyte's weight, meanwhile, is also intriguing. Is he going to beef up to match Fury as much as possible? Is he going to come in lean to negate some of those stamina issues we've seen in the past?

Let's find out...

14:40
Fury and Whyte are up next!

Here we go! Fury and Whyte are up next! They'll be on in a matter of seconds!

14:39
And we're back! Darren Tetley and Ekow Essuman weigh in

Tetley: 145lbs 12oz.

Essuman: 146lbs

Essuman puts his European welterweight title on the line on Saturday night. It was meant to be taking place next Friday, but the fight has been brought forward a week.

14:36
John Fury on Fury's retirement claims

As we wait, John Fury is asked whether Tyson Fury will actually retire after the fight, as he's been saying throughout the build-up to the fight.

John insists he's rich enough and done enough to call it a day. He believes Tyson will want to fight again, but says he'll back him whatever decision he makes.

With Usyk and Joshua still out there, I don't think we'll be seeing the last of Fury... providing he wins, of course.

14:33
Brief intermission...

Not long now until Fury and Whyte are up... but we're just waiting for a quick break at Boxpark to end.

14:31
A quick reminder: Fury and Whyte's recent weights...

The Gypsy King was just 247lbs when he beat Wladimir Klitschko in 2015. For his second bout against Wilder he came in at 273lbs, and for the trilogy bout he weighed 277lbs.

Whyte, meanwhile, weighed in at 247.2lbs for his rematch with Alexander Povetkin, down from 252lbs from their first encounter, where he was knocked out cold.

14:28
John Fury: We will fight Jake Paul next Saturday!

Wow, John Fury's just sent some praise in Jake Paul's direction, insisting the American is a 'very smart man'.

He does, also, insist Paul hasn't proven himself inside a boxing ring, stating he's very basic and believing Tommy would get him out of there with ease.

Is a fight between the pair building again?

14:26
Fury vs Whyte: Not long now!

The excitement is well and truly building now, as the main event weigh-in approaches. If the atmosphere at Boxpark Wembley is anything to go by, there's going to be a real buzz tomorrow night.

Fury and Whyte will be taking to the scales shortly...

14:22
Next up: Isaac Lowe vs Nick Ball

Up next is Tyson Fury's friend and camp-mate Isaac Lowe, who takes on Nick Ball in what could be one of the fights of the night.

14:20
John Fury: Tommy knows what's at stake here

John Fury insists too much pressure can't be placed on Tommy, but says if he can't win on Saturday then he can forget about the elites.

John doubles down on his comments linking Tommy to Gennady Golovkin...

14:17
On stage now: Tommy Fury and Daniel Bocianski

Daniel Bocianski: 175lbs

Tommy Fury: 177lbs and 12oz.

Tommy looks in great nick, it has to be said.

14:16
Not long now until Fury and Whyte... but first it's Tommy Fury!

Not long now until Fury and Whyte take to the scales! But up next will be Tyson's brother, Tommy, who is looking to impress this weekend.

14:14
Adeleye turns his dream into a reality

Sportsmail spoke to Adeleye earlier this week, check out what he said below.

14:13
Big David Adeleye is up next! Chris Healey is with him...

Next up is heavyweight David Adeleye - who has been manifesting a fight at Wembley Stadium since his first pro fight. Big things are expected from the unbeaten KO artist.

Chris Healey: 282lbs

David Adeleye: 232lbs and 6oz.

Quite a size difference...

14:11
Next up: Royston Barney-Smith and Constantin Radoi

Royston Barney-Smith: 132lbs

Constantin Radoi: 132lbs

Hampshire born Royston Barney-Smith gets a big cheer as he takes to the scales, ahead of his super-featherweight bout tomorrow night.

14:09
David Haye is in the building

John Fury might be insisting David Haye won't be allowed on fight night, but he's in the building today!

14:08
Next up: Karol Itauma and Michael Ciach

Michael Ciach: 175lbs and 12oz.

Karol Itauma: 175lbs, 12oz, too.

The pair are fighting at light-heavyweight tomorrow, and John Fury insists Itauma could be a future opponent for Tommy Fury.

14:05
First on the scales: Kurt Walker and Stefan Nicolae

Super-featherweights Kurt Walker and Stefan Nicolae are the first fighters to take to the scales.

Nicolae is up first, and he comes in at 127.4lbs. Walker is slightly heavier at 129lbs.

14:04
Warren: Whyte will come in light

Warren isn't convinced Fury has blown up once more, believing he'll way about the same as he did last time. He thinks Whyte will have dropped weight, though.

'I think he'll (Fury) will come in around the weight that he did against Wilder in the last fight - but I'm not sure. The other fella (Whyte) doesn't want to be coming in heavy, he wants to be coming in light. If he comes in heavy then he's got to cart that around the ring with him.

'He's got all those big clothes on, that's why I think he'll be light.'

14:02
Who's under more pressure? Frampton answers
14:01
And we're underway!

The weigh-in is now underway, with the undercard fighters set to take to the stage shortly.

Fury and Whyte shouldn't be too long...

13:57
Here's John Fury and Dean Whyte settling their differences...
13:55
Not long now until the weigh-in gets underway!

The fighters will soon be getting on stage, and we'll find out whether Fury has in fact piled on the pounds once more.

It will also be intriguing to see how Whyte weighs in. He's definitely going to be the lighter of the two - but will he have bulked up to match Fury as much as possible? Or will he cut down once more.

13:52
The beef between Dean Whyte and John Fury is quashed... kind of

'It's about them, not any of us,' says John Fury as he's joined by Whyte's brother, Dean, to discuss the weigh-in.

They both agree to put Wednesday's disagreement behind them, but it quickly turned slightly more aggressive, as Dean explains what actually happened.

John believes Dean wasn't allowing him on stage... Whyte says it was security.

13:49
Fury: I've trained as hard for Whyte as Wilder

The two camps may have collided at Wednesday's presser, but there was plenty of respect between tomorrow night's protagonists, Fury and Whyte.

Fury, though previously talking down Whyte's abilities, insisted he's trained as hard as ever.

'Dillian's a good fighter, he's big, strong, tough, game, he's got good punch power that's knocked out a lot of men,' Fury said. 'He's got a lot of experience in the fight game.

'He's definitely a man that needs a lot of respect and that's what I've given him.

'I've done everything I can possibly do to train for this. I've trained as hard for Dillian as I have for [Deontay] Wilder. He'll be fighting the best Tyson Fury.'

13:46
John Fury: David Haye isn't allowed to be here

It's the John Fury show today so far... and the beef between the Fury camp and David Haye is still very much alive.

'He's not allowed to be there [on fight night],' he told iFL TV. 'If he is, they'll regret it. I'm gonna tell you now David, you've shot your mouth off once too far mate.

'If you're there, have your tin hat on pal, because you're gonna need it.'

13:42
Fury to 'shock' us all on the scales

Fury has promised he'll come in the heaviest weight of his career today, which, for all we know could be mind games.

One person entirely in the know is his in-house nutritionist, George Lockhart, who is responsible for everything Fury puts into his body, however, and the American insists the world is in for a shock.

'I will tell you at the weigh-in there’s going to be a shock,' Lockhart told Sportsmail. 'People are going to be shocked at the weigh-in. People will be like, “holy crap”.

'You won’t even have to see the number on the scale. When you see him, you’ll know exactly what he’s been doing this whole time.'

13:39
The styles will gel, says Warren!

Frank Warren has been speaking as we wait for Fury and Whyte to take to the scales, and promoter Frank Warren insists the styles will gel between the two gladiators.

13:36
How Fury and Whyte have previously weighed in

Fury's weight has fluctuated in abundance throughout his career, with the heavyweight bulking up significantly since partnering up with SugarHill Steward.

The Gypsy King was just 247lbs when he beat Wladimir Klitschko.

13:32
John Fury and Dean Whyte at it already...

Well, it's going to be a lively one - John Fury and Dean Whyte are already looking rather feisty.

13:28
Fireworks could be on the way

Fury and Whyte got just their first glimpse of each other since the announcement of the fight at Wednesday's press conference - and today they'll get their final opportunity to size each other up before fight night.

The pair were respectful throughout the presser, though a melee nearly broke out after John Fury started yelling at Whyte's team, notably his brother Dean.

Whyte then accused John of trying to 'rob 90,000 fans of a fight'. Perhaps we'll see some more fireworks today.

13:26
Hello and welcome!

We are now just one day out from the British blockbuster between Tyson Fury and Dllian Whyte, with 94,000 fans set to cram into Wembley Stadium tomorrow night.

Fury comes in as the overwhelming favourite - but in Whyte the WBC champion finds himself against a live opponent.

What tactics both will opt for remains unknown - and will do until the first bell - but today's weigh-in will certainly give us an indication as to how they've approached the fight.

Fury has promised he'll come in his heaviest weight ever, but that could simply be mind games. Whyte, on the other hand, has remained secretive throughout.

Stay with us as we build towards today's action, with both men to take to the scales.
