'Dancing with the Stars' Results: Which Couple Left 'DWTS' Last Night?

Two more couples were eliminated from last night's episode of Dancing with the Stars, now there's just six pairs left in the competition.

Week 8 was Janet Jackson Night for the dancers, as each pair performed to a classic song from the singer. Everyone performed twice as the dance-offs awarded two bonus points to the four winners and the losers got nothing.

One couple was eliminated immediately while the judges unanimously voted to eliminate another pair.

Who was eliminated from DWTS in Week 8?

Three of the remaining eight couples received maximum marks from the judges and no one got a score lower than an eight, so standards were incredibly high in Week 8 of Dancing with the Stars.

In the end, it was the two lowest-scoring couples who were eliminated from the competition. Both couples also lost their dance-offs.

First up to be eliminated was social media personality Olivia Jade and her partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy. They scored an impressive 36, a nine from each judge, for their Argentine tango which they did to "Any Time, Any Place." During the dance-off against JoJo Siwa and Jenna Johnson, judge Carrie Ann Inaba decided the female pair danced the rumba better to "That's the Way Love Goes."

Next the judges had to decide who to eliminate between country music singer Jimmie Allen and his partner Emma Slater, and actress Melora Hardin with her partner Artem Chigvintsev.

Melora and Artem would have been justified to feel hard done by for appearing in the bottom three, after scoring a perfect 40 in their first dance, and also winning their dance off.

In contrast, Jimmie and Emma got four eights from the judges for a score of 32 after dancing the Cha-cha-cha to "Escapade. They also lost the dance off to Suni Lee and Sasha Farber when Bruno Tonioli decided they did the salsa better to "Made for Now."

Inevitably, all four of the judges voted to keep Melora and Artem in the competition, eliminating Jimmie and Emma.

Who scored high in Week 8 of DWTS?

As mentioned, Melora and Artem were one of the three couples who scored four tens from the judges, yet still found themselves in the bottom three. They performed the paso doble to Janet Jackson's "If."

Suni and Sasha also crushed it, getting a score of 40 for dancing the samba to "All for You." The Talk co-host Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten also scored maximum marks from the judges for dancing the jazz to "Rhythm Nation."

Jojo and Jenna can count themselves unlucky, scoring 39 for their salsa to "Feedback."

Week 9 of Dancing with the Stars

After the two eliminations, six couples will make it through to Week 9 of Dancing with the Stars: JoJo and Jenna, Melora and Artem, Amanda and Alan, Suni and Sasha, Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke, and Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach.

Season 30 of Dancing with the Stars looks set to be marginally shorter than previous years as next week, Week 9, is scheduled to be the Semi-Finals stage.
