Came here with family for dinner. This is a good Irish pub. The shepard's pie is very good as is the Irish stew. The grilled cheese sandwich however was not what you would expect in a grilled cheese sandwich. It had onions in it and...was not on bread but on a roll. That may be something to change.More

I stumbled in to this bar and stumbled out 4 hours later. The steak dinner i had was wonderful, and my companion had a grilled tuna steak that was sushi quality. we were served by an Irish girl whose soothing Irish voice highlighted our meal.We...than moved over to the bar and spent several hours there being entertained by Erica the bar tender who makes a mean drink. My next trip to NY this will be first stop.More

We called into the Bantry Bay pub as it had been recommended to us by our hotel. The pub is fantastic, serves a great array of different drinks and although we just had the fries (potato and sweet potato) they were delicious and the other...food they served looked pretty good too! But the thing that makes this place a must to visit is the people and the service, we were welcomed in like part of the community and that really made it for us. Ericka was awesome and couldn’t do enough for us and we really felt valued as customers. The Guinness is superb as well!More

Food was tasty and service was excellent. Nice people, in a comfortable atmosphere. Soup was tasty and burgers were cooked to order and cooked right.

I had a wonderful time in the Bantry Bay. The food was delicious, steak was to die for. The waitress was very pretty and talked with an Irish Brogue, she gave great service and had a soothing voice .The Bartender Erica was exceptional and mixed...a mean drink and took care of a packed bar full of movie workers. I can’t wait to return to this Irish Pub😀👍😀More

This restaurant and bar was near my hotel and I went there this afternoon for lunch. Erica was behind the bar and was amazingly friendly, fun to talk to, and her service was top notch. I felt just as welcome as the locals who came...in and sat around me, and there were quite a few of them, so obviously this place has a regular clientele. I had a 7&7 and their regular burger, which was delicious. Cooked exactly as I asked for, flavorful, and juicy. Before the tip I spent maybe $15.00, so it's pretty economical as well. I would recommend this place for the food alone, but if Erica is any representation of the friendly, welcoming, and personable yet professional service, I say if you're in the area it's a must-stop. It gets busy for lunch; I arrived at 11:30 and was the second person in the place; by the time I left at 12:15 it was probably half full and rising quickly. Definitely a neighborhood favorite.More

My wife and I stopped in at the Bantry Bay Publick House last night for dinner. Wonderful Irish Pub atmosphere. Ice dinning area, and very nice bar with wide screen TV' S showing the Mets in action. I had the Brooklyn larger on tap and...it was ice cold and delicious. I also tried the Irish beer on tap, Smithwicks Ale, and it was also ice cold and delicious. We both had the steak burgers which are served on pretzel rolls, with fries, and garnishing. The food was incredibly good, and the portion size was well above average. Prices are very reasonable , and the service was fantastic. We are going back for lunch today, and highly recommend this outstanding local watering hole.More

I went with a friend on a Saturday and ordered their 12oz burger. It had an odd taste which I think might have been oregano. Never had that in a burger before and didn't care for it. The fries were cold. It appears they were...going through renovations, I'll chalk it up to that.More

We checked in late and needed some food. Headed down Greenpoint Ave to Bantry's and were underwhelmed. We expected it to be a neighborhood bar and it was convenient to the hotel. We drank some brews, ate fish and chips and watched sports on tv....It was dark, dirty and not very busy on a Friday night. Service was quick, prices were reasonable.More

I got the fish and chips and my coworker got the pork sandwich. Both where very good. We also got the French quarter fries for an appetizer, they were good bit too spicy, good flavors. Decent selection of draft beers.

Simple, comfortable neighborhood pub with excellent food. We were three generations. Grandparents, parents and 9-year old granddaughter had a lovely evening.
