Bantry Bay Publick House

I've been here quite a few times for a drink and a quick bite. It's such a great place to just stop in and get good food and service. However I just had a small party here, about 35 people, and it was amazing. The party was over a week ago and I'm still getting calls to tell me how great it was. I'm getting calls about everything from the convenience of the location, to the awesome staff, but mostly, about the food. The food was well above what would be expected of a pub. It was above and beyond. I am looking forward to more events here, and hoping the staff is the same because they really took the stress away from hosting an event. Thank you guys so much for that!

If you are in the Greenpoint/Long Island City area you have to stop at Bantry Bay. It is a sports bar with a huge selection of local beer and microbrews. There is a large selection of food, all done to perfection. They also cater to larger groups/families with a table section for sit down eating. You have to try the sweet and savory ribeye, it is out of this world!

P.S. There is a FREE parking lot, which is hard to find anywhere nowadays.

Food and service are very good, portions are big and a lot of variety on the menu. Decor is nothing special but they have several tv's located throughout the bar. The only problem is it's out of the way, located in an industrial area across from a cemetery and about a 20 minute walk from the train and nothing else nearby. If you are able to get there, it's an enjoyable place to spend time.

Very delicious yummy food and lovely young bartender too! The only place in this hood to get Pub Grub!

This place is awesome!!!

We came on last Saturday afternoon for my buddy's 40th birthday. Mike did a great job making sure we had everything we needed and had a great time.

The beer selection was excellent and the food was awesome!!

We had the delicious fresh cut fries and cheeseburger empanadas. So few places seem to make the fresh cut fries and it just shows how this place goes the extra mile.

Most of us had burgers which were cooked perfectly and served on pretzel buns. The steakburger was a crowd favorite.

Mike came our with a brownie and a candle for the birthday and the whole bar joined it. It's, once again, the little things.

To sum up, awesome beer, awesome food, that makes you feel right at home. What else could you ask for?

This is one of the best "gastropubs" in NYC. It may not look like it on the outside but their kitchen is a magic place. Their menu is so eclectic and large which is usually a bad sign but they make everything delicious. They have the typical pub fare like burgers, shepherds pie, fish and chips but they also have inventive sandwiches like my favorite roast and pork creole and also chicken franchese. Their apps are great, my fave is the lucky charms, bacon wrapped dates. They have great meals as well like Schnitzel with brandy which is to die for.
The bar is warm and cozy and the staff could not be friendlier. They have multiple tvs for sporting events and a side room where they host events and parties.
It is a bit out of the way but well worth the trip.

Great pub / restaurant somewhat out of the way. Easy parking on the street and they have a small lot as well. They also have set up a few tables outside for dining. I had stopped in a few times before covid and always had a lot of fun and enjoyed the food. Yesterday I came in with a friend for his birthday and we had a blast. Sat outside most of the afternoon. I had a cheeseburger and it was tremendous. Gouda. Really great. On a toasted pretzel bun. It couldn't have been any better. One friend had a salad and enjoyed it. Another friend had the am chicken sandwich and said that too was solid. I've probably tried most of the menu at this point and no complaints other than the French onion soup - I'm not a fan. Could be personal preference I'm not sure. But bantry bay is a great spot to grab a quick bite or hang out for a while with some friends. There is a good number of regulars here and they all seem like swell folks.

I was tremendously surprised by how much I enjoyed this place. Great food(I had the Irish Stew). I started with a bloody mary which was made from scratch which I love as most places use mix and who knows how old it is..
Service and drinks were awesome as was the rest of my time there. I will definitely be back!!
