Searched the town for the best local pub and just happened upon the Anchor Bar. By far the best pub experience we have had in Ireland. The staff was extremely friendly and we felt right at home here. You may happen upon Sheba, the pubs dog, which just adds to the homie feel. I would highly recommend this local pub and be sure to make friends with the bar tenders. Enjoy!!

This is a little pub in the centre of town where many of the local residents congregate. Good value and friendly. A good place for a pint in the evening.

Came here and on a few occasions to watch the Champions League on TV during spring. Loved the atmosphere! They also served one of my favorite bottled beers - Blue Moon!

Visited here with my fiancé and a friend. Lovely old pub, nice open fire on a stormy evening. Met the 2 young woman behind the bar.Even heard a recording of Lauren singing.

OK, so we haven’t been to every bar in County Cork - but there can’t be many with as fine a pint of Guinness and as warm a welcome as you will get from Vince at the Anchor.

We randomly stopped at The Anchor Bar and are glad we did. Between the three of us we ordered fried fish, BLT, and chicken goujons. They were all delicious! My husband also ordered a pint - a must- have with any Irish meal. The service was good and the prices were reasonable.

Great ambience at night, and an amazing amount of history covering the walls to discover by day. Fantastic coffee and even better Guinness 👍🏻

This pub has the most unique ambience! It's welcoming and friendly especially by the landlords canine friend 😊 her love of people and their gourmet tastes is accurate! The local welcome and friendliest nature of the local clientele is amazing, definetly worth a visit for the absolute experience.
