On the plus , the staff are first class. Very pleasant in any dealings we had with them in reception, bar or restaurant. Very courtesy and nothing was too much to ask . Food in restaurant was exceptional all during our stay. All in all very happy with this establishment.

We had stayed in a room-only building so ate here for our 3 day stay, great find !
The staff were really friendly , beer well kept , and the bar meals properly cooked by a real live chef .My plate of local mussels were outstanding whilst others dined on roast belly pork with black pudding mash .Super

There is something oddly satisfying about getting a large chunky key on a solid leather key fob for your hotel room. It’s like stepping back in time and Bantry provides plenty of old world charm. The room was very bright and clean with a comfortable bed. The water pressure in the shower was less than ideal but that’s just a minor quibble. The hotel is in a great location so after hitting a few spots in town we were just steps away from our room. After a great nights sleep we were served a delicious breakfast, full Irish for me Eggs Benedict for my wife. The Irish breakfast was cooked perfectly and my wife said the Benedict was among the best she’s ever had. All of this combined with a friendly and helpful staff make this the perfect spot for a weekend getaway or a stop off along the Wild Atlantic Way.

Food is OK, but the Hotel is so badly in need of a facelift. The entrance is through the dark bar, and the wallpaper in our room, was probably from the seventies. One plus is that next door are good restaurants and the back entrance to the marvellous Bantry House.

Hostel quality at hotel prices. No reception desk, check-in desk is located in the bar. Double room is tiny, bathroom even smaller. Had to checkout in the restauraunt as the bar wasnt open. Good location and friendly staff are the ONLY good points
