Good food, they were a bit short staffed which led to slower service. Staff were super friendly though and let us know first thing. Generally a very nice pub with a cosy atmosphere. A little toward the expensive end.

My wife and I had been meaning to stop here for a very long time. At last, we found the opportunity. The service staff were brilliant - very well-trained, I imagine. The menu, as you can see, is varied and reasonable in price. The wine list was not as extensive as some restaurants, but there was certainly enough choice. Both meals arrived before too long, despite being made to order, and were very tasty, but I found the broccoli undercooked. Some better cooked vegetables were promised and appeared before too long. We both really enjoyed our meals. Then I forced myself to order a pudding! The only criticism I could make is that the tables were not very far apart and, as it got busier through the evening, conversations overlapped, and we had to speak more loudly to each other.

You must book way in advance, but its because the food and staff are excellent. So welcoming to our dog to and anything is addressed to meet the customers needs.

Fantastic Sunday Lunch! The Halloumi fries are to die for, our main Roast was crazy good, was so impressed with the portions, loads of veg, really enjoyed it, wish I'd ask for extra gravy but my own fault. :)

Excellent food, very friendly staff and lovely pub. A great family and dog friendly pub that really does delicious high quality food at a reasonable price, 2 courses for £21. We went for a Sunday roast and it was very good, the way it was served just showed you that this place is serious about high quality food. It did not disappoint at all and that goes for the desserts which were equally tasty. The service however was initially fantastic but then we and other tables seemed to get forgotten about, with our eventual dessert order being lost. I thought the staff were great but you can't give high marks for it nearly taking 3hrs to get 2 courses. That said I think this is definitely a must try gastro pub, but maybe book a table in the restaurant but the bar.

Was recommended to me by a colleague. The place was nice, the poached egg in my starter was overcooked, a bit disappointed that the burger was well done, no offer on how I liked it to e cooked. Served on a narrow chopping board rather than a plate. Service was a bit lacking, no return visit to ask how our meal was, not even as we.payed the bill. A shame as has so much potential to be a place to draw the locals and tourists in. Maybe just caught it on a bad night.

Good pub to have a meal. Food is really good and better quality than normal pub food. Worth paying a little extra, I will be going back. My only gripe is that they could do with stocking some non alcoholic drinks as most people have to drive to the pub. My only option was orange or coke.

Delightful pub with a warm welcome despite my arriving in muddy wellington boots from a country walk . I have a gluten intolerance and the hosts were very helpful in letting me know what I could eat for my lunch. We’ve been desperate to visit here with our two springers, so as we were holidaying in Devon, took the opportunity - it did not disappoint. A warm and welcoming atmosphere on arrival with plenty of seating. Very clean and very spacious. A huge bowl of fresh water arrived for our dogs. They don’t usually drink when we are out but felt relaxed enough to drink half the bowl! We chose the blt sandwich with chips and a glass of lemonade. Sandwich was delicious! Not badly priced and we will definitely return when we are down south again.

My partner and I have visited twice in one week! First time was just for drinks, beer for him and cocktails for me! The selection on offer was great, lovely atmosphere. We then rebooked for dinner after seeing some lovely looking places of food pass us on our first visit. Let’s just say it didn’t disappoint! Similarly, great atmosphere and the food was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the girls waiting on us. Worth pointing out on both our visits the staff behind the bar and on the floor were just wonderful, so polite and accommodating! Such a credit to this place. We both left saying we’ll be back, and we will!

Springer Spaniel Gastro pub was a wonderful surprise to us both looking for somewhere to eat on the way back from visiting a friend, service had finished, but they went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful lunch as we were absolutely starving, the food was very very tasty, home-made and delicious. I couldn’t fault it and the service was just completely fantastic, if you fancy a pub lunch on the next level with your dogs in tow, seriously consider popping along to the Springer Spaniel because we absolutely loved it and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome in this cosy friendly pub atmosphere with wonderful food that’s all you really need to know so pop along and have a great time

Went to the Elliott purposefully for Sunday lunch, very disappointed. Great atmosphere, lovely local, good service, but rubbish roast. Roast potatoes needed a hammer & chisel to get into, brussel sprouts were rubbery & had to be sawed with a knife, red cabbage was anemic, tasteless carrots, dry turkey, powdery stuffing & watery gravy. The 'chef' must have been having an off day, as we've eaten here numerous times over the last 40 yrs and the food was never this bad. Won't be having a Sunday roast there again anytime soon.

Me and my family spent a week in Cornwall and ate here nearly every night. Excellent food every night. Absolutely lovely and helpful staff. Couldn't fault it at all. The meals were amazing and prices were fair! Will definately be coming back when we are next in Cornwall!

The Eliot Arms has always been a distinctive little pub that has a reputation of great food. Me and my fiancée Julie always come here for an evening meal when we are down in Cornwall. The pub interior is a fabulous antique-esque type of decor that would not look out of place in a Harry Potter film set. Clocks of all shapes and sizes adorn the walls with brasses and other paraphernalia making it quaint. The food as always is great and as always we can never finish everything as the portions are extremely generous. The potato side (whether chips, croquettes, new potatoes or curly fries) come on a separate plate - and believe me you need that side plate as the main food reaches the sides of the main plate! Never had a bad experience at The Eliot. It has always been a pleasure to book a table and give them our custom. So if you ever find yourself near Launceston then head out to Tregadillett for the Eliot and have yourself a right tasty meal.

Lovely local pub with an amazing atmosphere full of history! Food was made with love and portions were super generous. Medium rare steak cooked to perfection! Julie was an absolute sweetheart - so attentive and kind. Bar man was great too with the local ale suggestions! The place is full of stories, it was a wonderful stop for food. Would definitely recommend!!

A fantastic old inn, full of history and charm. Very friendly attentive staff, amazing food, lots of choice, and first class chips. Arrive starving - the portions are enormous!! If you order a pud, share it with someone else!!! One other thing - it may be old and heavily decorated with horse brasses, pictures, maps and memorabilia... but it is spotlessly clean! Well worth a visit.

A true hidden gem, but to be guaranteed a table you must book in advance! The pub looks beautiful from the outside and walking in your greeted with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The pub was very busy and we made our way over to the bar. After ordering a drink we were shown to our table to the side of the bar, past a number of lovely clocks and other ornaments on the wall which gave the place a really cosy warm feelings. The menu is small but has a great variety of dishes to choose from and I chose to order the fish and chips. The waiter advised us there would be a bit of a wait, however the food arrived sooner than expected. The fish was delicious with tender meat and crispy batter. The chips were crispy and fresh and the whole dish was fantastic with an ideal portion size. For dessert I ordered the profiteroles which were also delicious. The price for the food was reasonable for the quality and I was very happy with my experience at the Eliot Arms. As the pub was very busy I strongly recommend booking in advanced so you are guaranteed a table. I personally cannot wait for my next visit.

Amazing meal here for my birthday. Beautifully cooked steak and the portions were huge! The service was second to none and the whole pub is beautiful - quirky, quaint, loads of features and a ghost story too! My only bugbear was that they charge for soda water even to accompany wine - if You're spending £20+ on a bottle of wine, £2.20 for a pint of soda to accompany it was a bit much - I drink white wine and soda, and have never been charged for soda before. It is a gorgeous place and a little on the pricey side. We spent over £100 on food, and about £70 on drinks over the evening, so this seemingly small thing just left a little sour taste of greed on the part of whoever sets the bar prices. It wouldn't put me off returning, but I wont order a bottle of wine next time. Fabulous food and staff and highly recommend.

Recommended by a work colleague, so thought we'd check it ......we were not disappointed. Great parking, great restaurant...coffee was spot on (and hot). Now we have a loyalty as well, so we will have to come back again. Such a nice experience.

Attended the Murder Mystery evening. Staff were very efficient, super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Food was superb; high quality produce, delicious and presentation was excellent. (photo is of my braised ox cheek main course) Murder mystery very well run, fun and professionally delivered. The fact we won first prize was incidental! Location is a bit of a drive from Plymouth, but is so worth the outing. Well done to all the team and management!

I was looking forward to my meal and ordered the butternut squash salad. This looked pleasing to the eye but unfortunately, that was about it. The dish was swimming in oil, I had a deep puddle at the bottom of my bowl. I was glad that I was sat outside so that I could tip what I could out. The positives were that the croutons were nice and crunchy and the beetroot and tomato was was tasty. It is such a shame, as the location and the service were very good.

This was hands down, the best full English breakfast I have ever had, and I do consider myself a connoisseur! The sausages were plump, meaty, tasty and well cooked, everything you would expect from a farm shop! The bacon, thick and smoked, full of flavour! The mushrooms big and juicy and the herb crusted tomatoes, a unique and tasty touch. The staff were super friendly and made me feel special with a birthday cup cake. If you want good service, good quality produce well cooked...this is the place for you!!

Had a very good Sunday lunch. We went with 9 of us. They looked after us very well and the food service was very quick. Some of the younger crew were still learning the ropes but otherwise very good. The beef was delicious. Good portions. Excellent wine list and good value. We bought a whole quiche at the farm shop later which was delicious and superb value.

We were here mid week and out of season and had lunch at the restaurant. It took them ages to notice us waiting to order. Our waitress also not get our order right and forgot to add a drink for one person. Service was very slow and the food was average. We have found much better places to eat at lower prices. Unfortunately we will not be going back.

Very convenient, good menu and nice staff but nowhere near enough of them. Food mix of great and not really thought through. Fish baguette was delicious, Ploughmans first arrived missing salad, which was rectified. The quiche was delicious but the cheese was underwhelming and had been left out uncovered. The ham, chutney and bread were good but I needed a bit more of something- pickled onions/coleslaw etc..Children's burger was inedible - incredibly strong taste of burnt cumin- but great chips.

Gorgeous breakfast! Our Full English was delicious 🤤 The location is lovely with lots of outside seating and a big green space with a pond. It’s dog friendly outside only, but was all good as it’s outside seating weather.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea yesterday. Beautifully presented and very yummy. Well worth every penny. On booking I mentioned one of the guests had allergies and would need gluten free, they did not forget this and produced a wonderful gluten free afternoon tea for our friend. This really made our day. Looking forward to our next visit.

Brilliant garden centre, full of plants, home wear, and at this of the year, Christmas decorations. It has a great cafe, farm shop and amazing views towards Dartmoor. Absolutely love it here.

Simply the best place in the south west to by tropical fish, since finding this shop I now don't want to use any other shops even though its an hour drive its well worth the effort for the fantastic variety and condition especially the lake malawi breeds that are amazing.

Absolutely love Homeleigh we visit every couple of week have a good restaurant do a good breakfast ,the Aquatics are brilliant you have every thing you need ,and for me especially they do Charlie bears which I collect I give them 5 star staff are brilliant always willing to go that extra mile for you.

Stopped off here in November as it was local to our holiday cottage that did a full English breakfast in their cafe. Glad we did as it was a lovely breakfast. Good menu choices, good quality food and lots of places to sit. Staff were very friendly too. After breakfast we had a walk around the garden centre and lots of variety of items to choose from. Would visit again when back in the area.

Aquarium they are well looked after and better priced than larger competitors. Went to buy a fish at launceston. Guy straight away served me with speed and professionalism and was very kind and courteous and didn’t grill me like other major stores. Enjoyable experience and always friendly. Will be buying more fish in the future inc a new tank.

Really good garden centre. The condition of all the plants for sale were above average, though that reflects in the price. Has other facilities on site such as a café, angling and furniture plus a small play area. Well worth a visit.

A really superb location to visit for somewhere to browse. An amazing garden centre and local foods store, also a pets corner with all kinds of animal items, homeware and clothing. The cafe is good, it's moderately priced for food and the quality is nice. We came here because of the play area which is £2 per child. We will absolutely return, what a fab place.

A wonderful experience. Everything about it wonderful. Beware of sat navs that like to send you off down single track roads; easy to find from Launceston itself. And clearly signposted. Will be going again!!

Wonderful find. Cozy country kitchen feel. Beautifully cooked sunday roast and the home scones and jam are to die for! Plus the coffee is served hot not luke warm.

If you want something different this is the place to go ,out in the countryside with wonderful views,and beautiful gardens to sit and have your food and..drink. And after there's a craft shop and an bits and bobs shop to peruse , overall most enjoyable .

A quiet location, food and was excellent, my wife and I popped in for cake and coffee we ended up having lunch after seeing the menu, highly recommended, (shouldn't say that as it may become over run). Will definitely go again.

This place is so great, my wife and I held our wedding party here. No, the owner and Andrew, head chef could not be more accommodating. Great food in the cafe. All freshly produced, not bought in and served. Staff are really friendly too. Dogs welcome.

Lovely location, quiet and dog friendly. The staff forgot.another tables drinks and cakes, they also forgot some of our drinks too. It was nearing their closing time, so perhaps it had been busy. Beautiful view outside all the way across the valley to Launceston Castle.

Really friendly, cosy, relaxed cafe. Awesome menu, we only had breakfast but wish we could go back for other meals. The food was pretty perfect and as we were making the most of eat out to help out it was incredible value, would pay full price if we go back again though, it was that yummy.

Service was good. Food was delicious. Venue is nice, good facilities. I had a Cooked Breakfast (no hash browns) with orange juice and my wife requested a non menu listed scrambled egg on 2 slices of toast. My wife also had a cappuccino. Total cost: £18.50.

We stopped here about half way through a hot tough day while riding towards Lands End. No 8 could not have been more hospitable and welcoming and the food was equally delicious and filling. In fact, it was everything we wanted and needed from a much needed break. The only negative was I heard our waiter telling another table that he was a West Ham fan. I suppose you can't have everything. Keep up the great work and we hope to be back one day.

We booked really late and were told that the chef stopped at 8 but they would accommodate us when we turned up. Very friendly lady that dealt with us and the food was excellent. Very reasonably priced too. Thank you for staying open for food a little longer.

A proper pub with great food and beer. Very friendly staff and locals. Chanced across it as theJamaica Inn was rammed. Anyone going down that way go here not there. Great daily chefs specials, the lamb and mint pie is highly recommended as is the steaks and fish and chips.

A lovely local pub with a real friendly vibe. A short drive from Launceston this is a brilliant little local pub, they have a great selection of ciders and a lot of other drinks on offer too including some real ales. There’s always really nice buzz here so you’re bound to have a lovely time when we you stop by. Their food is where they really excel, with all of their food being delightful, a special mention for the mushrooms on toast! I have also heard very good things about their roast but am yet to try it myself. They also have a separate restaurant space so if you want to eat away from the main bustle on the bar you can escape there. Although a meal in front of their fire is the perfect place.

First time visiting this pub. Travelled from Plymouth to meet the parents for a carvery. The staff are friendly and they always had a smile on their faces. Dining area is at the back of the pub in a separate room from the bar. Food was lovely and hot with fresh top ups coming out regularly plenty of veg choices. Desserts was amazing I had a strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake parents had lemon meringue pie. Food portion size was good. There is parking in a small carpark at the side of the pub which gets busy at times but plenty of street parking or a town hall carpark across the way. I recommend you book for the Sunday carvery as limited tables and proved popular by the older generation. Would definitely go back. Dog friendly.

A very warm welcome on arrival from all the staff, to then be greeted by the owners Dan & Viki, of which adds a nice touch to running a good establishment. Our food was prompt and very good value for money. The pub overall seems to offer a happy family atmosphere, as well as catering for all ages, with the events they put on. Totally recommend a visit and definitely the food. Looking forward to the next we visit.

Really good food. New chef learning but the portions were massive really big. Went away full. A few tiny hiccups but got a free drink and dessert which was so kind.

The white horse has recently reopened and it was our first time visiting since, the staff are lovely, really friendly and bubbly, nice atmosphere and lovely food 😋 Both food and drink is reasonably priced and great selection and quality 😊 recommend a visit! There is good parking onsite.

Fantastic service for myself and family on Friday. We were staying in the area and were helped immensely with sorting out taxis so we could all enjoy a drink. Food was amazing, and very generous portion sizes. If we're ever in the area again we will not hesitate to come and visit again!

Service was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and the food was amazing 👏. We had a Sunday carvery and was honestly the best we've had. The treacle tart with ice cream was delicious and they were kind enough to put my leftovers in a foil container. Will definitely revisit regularly and highly recommend 👌

Came for the Wednesday chicken family roast while staying nearby. The meat was tender and the whole meal had great flavour. The staff and owner were very friendly and know their regular customers. This pub is calm and welcoming with great value as a bonus.

We popped in here for a Sunday roast with my 86 year old mum for her birthday as it was a good location for us and dog friendly. We had a great time. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was fun and buzzing and the food was really lovely and great value for money. Mum said that she couldn’t fault it, which is praise indeed if you know my mum! They had even provided treats for the dog which was a lovely touch. Please do pop in here if you’re in the area as you won’t be disappointed I’m sure.

My daughter and I went for dinner last evening and found the place very welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing definitely recommend the beef stroganoff. Fabulous food and a cosy log fire to warm us on a winter evening! Not only does the menu have plenty of choice, but the specials board had several options too. Glad we booked a table because it was quite busy! Will be visiting again soon.

Booked a table for Sunday carvery lunch. Every aspect of the pub was shabby and in need of renovation. But, the food was delicious, great choice of meat and vegetables and very good value.

Great to see a village pub doing so well.They clearly know their lunchtime mainly elderly clientele well , offering smaller portions on most mains .Full portions are generous and lamb chops and Steak and Guiness pie excellent.

My espresso was superb, simply superb. Sausage roll wasn't bad but a little on the small side for the cost, would be fair it it was £3isb but felt like that was a bit too much. Espresso however, otherworldly.

Really enjoyed the salted caramel brownie and my extra hot hot chocolate. Personally would have preferred the hot chocolate to be a bit of a richer chocolate taste, but one bonus was it wasnt overly sweet!!!! Our party of 4 were pleased to come in out of the rain into this pleasant coffee shop.

Delightful little cafe with an absolutely superb range of #glutenfree choices , all freshly baked, in the cafe, daily . Very Comfortable , with a very homely atmosphere , attentive service. I found it by chance a few days ago on a visit to Launceston and popped in for a toasted tea cake , and coffee, both of which were delicious. I promised to go back soon with my hubby and we visited on Thursday and partook of gluten free cornish cream tea. The scones were absolutely melt in the mouth . Ray always makes it clear when he enjoys his food - and to quote ‘ the best scone I have ever eaten’. I would agree ( and we will be going back for a lunch another time 😍). Many thanks to the lovely owners for having created this wonderful place . It’s most unusual to find a cafe or indeed any eatery that caters so well for those of us with gluten intolerance or coeliac . I’ve attached a couple of photos of the food and the cafe . 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ but why take my word for it when you could visit yourself. Also an excellent choice of #vegetarian and #vegan food ( though all appetites and food tastes are catered for . Looking forward already to our return visit soon.

Such a quaint location. Management are very friendly and accommodating. Food is well priced with a vast variety of locally sourced ingredients for meals and snacks. May have to wait occasionally for some of the basic foods (scones) but that was due to them being freshly baked, well worth the wait. Have been twice now and neither time has disappointed. We'll recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful breakfast - a proper cafe with gorgeous food (the fried bread is a must for breakfast lovers). The staff are friendly and make sure everything is ok for all of the party! Even bringing treats for our pup. Would highly recommend visiting. They also have movie screenings for children!

You could miss this lovely little cafe if you weren't looking as it's tucked alongside the entrance archway to Launceston town centre. Charming husband and wife team serving a wide variety of food. Nicely decorated in the style of movies/films. There is only one red chair!

I had a Cornish all day breakfast and the wife had a Brie & Cranberry Baguette with teas. Small cafe, attentive service, tasty food at a very reasonable price! Recommended!

Such a lovely, pleasant place to enjoy a hearty, affordable breakfast. I visited here early November and could not believe the prices. Breakfast was such good value for money.£5 for a full English. There was a lovely atmosphere. A group of ladies had met for breakfast and were sharing their tales and having a good time, there were older people enjoying a nice pot of tea and then there was us with our young pup, over the moon to find somewhere so inviting. Two young men who were serving that day were so approachable and happy going about their day, even smiling to themselves whilst making the coffees. It was simply a lovely experience.

Dog friendly inside and out.2 tables outside and 5 tables inside all seating up to 4 people and two seats near to counter (total seating 30 but no toilet for customers. Surprising as under Local Government Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1976, I would think they have enough seating to provide toilets). Some customers came in asked if toilet and left) Boss breakfast £5, great value. Additional tomatoes and mushrooms 50p each more were small portions and not really worth it.

I had a great tasty savoury breakfast waffle. It was delicious. Lovely to be able to get soya milk as well with my pot of tea. It was abit chilly inside the cafe. But it was a cold day. We will be going back, when we are down there again.

Thought I'd try the local Coffee Pot today. Tuna panini and chicken bacon pasta pot ordered. I received a ham onion and american mustard half baked panini and my wife couldn't eat the mayonnaise drenched pasta dish. Utterly disappointed given my previous review of Bude coffee pot. Wife said staff were friendly though!

Lovely welcoming cosy cafe, with a great selection of meals to choose from. We were looking for a late breakfast and this place was a gem! Any breakfast for £5! BARGAIN! Food was well presented and very tasty. Looks like a very popular place as we were lucky to get a table. Definitely worth a visit

Lovely, small cafe in Launceston. Especially like the breakfast list. They've made it so everything for breakfast is £5. What you're served with is good value, and tasty, and doesn't take them very long to get to your table. Staff are always pleasant and greet you with a smile.

Great food & coffee at a very cheap price, they have vegan options, gluten free bread, decaf & oat milk. The manager is very welcoming, hard working and efficient. Lots of customers so people seem to love it. Just a wee bit chilly in the cafe but that's easy to fix. Recommend!

My girlfriend and I came here before watching Ed Byrne at Launceston town hall. We didn’t reserve a seat but were still able to eat in, which I was really pleased about (I was prepared and happy to take away). Staff were really friendly and the service was excellent, really attentive. I ordered a medium cod and chips with a can of Dr Pepper, my girlfriend had “the fryers special” (medium cod and chips with mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea). I was jealous of hers as it was amazing value really. The chips were really nice and the cod was really hot when it came to us so was obviously freshly cooked. I was a little disappointed by the size of the cod - it was a bit long and thin, but that’s not entirely the shop’s fault I guess as they all come in different sizes and shapes. Overall a nice experience and I’d definitely go there again.

Had fish and chips from here on Saturday the 30th March, and the fish was lovely, but the chips were dry and scraggy, so awful really, had to throw them away. Hopefully next time we go there chips will be better. But overall would recommend.

Very good delicious food. I had been starving for 5 days but franices solved my hunger issue. I truly appreciate the love put into the food. My frown got turned upside down.

Excellent fish and chips. Fish is lightly battered and the portion of chips was huge. They fry in plant-base, responsiby-sourced oil which hugely improves the flavour. Highly recommended if you're in Launceston 👍🏼👍🏼

Very good chippy, very busy but with very fast service once the order was taken. You may have a long wait to get your order in but they're quite speedy. Food is amazing, fish was really good. Chips were good. Recommended.

When on holiday it's usually hard to find a fish and chip shop thats as good as the one at home but not this time 👍 Francine's has great parking , the staff were fast and efficient but most of all the fish and chips were great , the Cod was big with nice batter and there were more than enough chips 👌 Thank you guys 👏

We had dinner from here on Friday whilst on holiday in the area, really lovely fish and chips was impressed, portions really large, we are big eaters but could of really just shared 1 large chips between 2 of us they was massive! Would highly recommend & will use again if we come back.

Honestly, greasy undercooked chips. If you run a fish and chip shop, you gotta make sure that the one thing you are selling above all else is cooked properly. Undercooked and dripping in grease / fat isn't good

Had breakfast number 2 which was really good and nicely presented . Perfect poached egg , lovely black pudding, tasty big slices of bacon ,hash browns and tomatoes. Only thing letting it down was sausages tasted cheap compared to other local establishments. Perfectly edible and cooked spot on . Clean and tidy inside if a little dated .

Love it here! The best brekkie in town. Need I say more :) Great price, they even knock up a mini plate for our toddler. We never leave feeling hungry. All the staff are lovely.

Lovely lovely food, just a bit small inside if you have children because obviously you don't want them in other people's faces or making noise like mine did today, and ruining everyone else's breakfast. Biggest table was for 6, there were 7 of us but luckily we managed to get my son in a high chair. Nice people, couldn't do enough even though they were very busy. I saw a previous comment about dishes left on the tables. Yes a couple were, but they are literally on the go from what I saw, not sorrow g around doing nothing, they were working hard and doing what they could and the table was cleared up before anyone actually wanted to use it anyway. Easy to get into. Probably one of the best places I've had a fried breakfast from in town. I had tomatoes AND beans on mine. Most places Ive been to give you the option. So I was over the moon to have had both because I love both and always have to take turns which I'm gonna choose usually. I will go back with probably the older children, not my smallest. Good decision to go. Thanks alot

Really slow for a place that uses a service counter. The lady putting the breakfast together seemed very confused and kept getting distracted. The other 3 staff didn’t help her. I ordered no plum tomatoes but it still got put on my plate. Brown toast but white arrived. She also got the next order wrong despite her colleague telling her 2mins previous. Obviously a bad day for her. Food was tasty though.

(sorry for the late review) Not a dine in experience but we had Lisa and her team cater for our evening wedding buffet at Roadford Lake in July. Lisa and her team were great and were happy to accommodate our choice of food! At a reasonable price. No-one could dare say they went hungry with the amount of food that was offered. Lisa was happy to work with and come up with different serving suggestions to combat the COVID rules at the time. Guests were taking goodie bags for the journey home........ it was scrumptious!!!!! Thanks again Lisa to you and the team.

Food was ok burger was nice chips were good, chilli needed to be a bit spicy as was no spice at all. Just seemed to be a lot of flies . May be due to hardware store next door be maybe a zapper needed . Other than that it was ok 👍

The location isn’t quite right on Google maps, almost as if the owners don’t want the tourists to find it 🤔😂 anyway, my wife didn’t think I needed the ‘Full Porker’ but 15 minutes later I proved her wrong. This is a proper full English (Cornish?) breakfast with local sausage and bacon and the freshest fried eggs, will be stopping off here every time we come back to Cornwall 👍✅

We were travelling to our holiday cottage and we needed somewhere to catch breakfast. We found Proper An some on Maps. Found the place and it was very busy, which is always a good sign for me. Went in found a table and ordered. The place was very busy. They did say food would take a while. We waited longer then we normally would but not too long. Food was really good. We had a selection of different things. All good.

Warm and clean environment, which is always a positive. I think we all have been to a cafe where you just want to turn and walk out...... Anyway, as I was saying. The staff are friendly and the food at a reasonable price. The food was tasty too! The order did take a fair amount of time to come, but there was a table 8 to feed. I'd go back

A greatly improved pub, was poor years ago but was friendly, warm and cosy. Nice country decor, woodburner on. Menu had enough choice though limited if vegan. Food was served very attractively and was tasty. Will go back again. Plenty of parking and a small beer garden for the summer.

Manage to get a table for Saturday night and was delighted to receive fantastic friendly service and a lovely meal . Just wished all pubs had this high level of customer service .

Had Sunday Lunch a Fortnite ago and it was SO good we immediately rebooked. Last week I had the Gammon and my Wife had the Beef. This week we both had Beef. Both sets of meals fabulous with the meat supplied by Warrens of Launceston and all the vegetables cooked to order. Spuds and Yorkies cooked just like Mum used to cook. . . . . . and lashings of gravy. Not only that we took our head of security, Wilma ( our not so petite Puppy ) and she got a free meal as well. The Staff are absolutely delightful - although you could think you were seeing double with the two sisters. The Landlady is an avbsolute credit to the business with great beers, beautifully served in clean fresh cold glasses. Great legs and heads on the beer, and glasses appropriately handled with the often forgotten rule of the customer owns the top third of the glass - so don't put your fingers on it. The Arscott. 100%.

The food was very nice and good size portion. They have gone with good food of a restaurant quality. Their is a very good selection of drinks with both draft beers, wine and spirits. The staff were friendly and efficient. The new owners have spent a lot of money on the inside and have done a very good job making it a nice place to eat. Highly recommended.

Stayed here in my Motorhome, only a few minutes from the A30 with easy access, the views are stunning, the free house pub has a great atmosphere, is very welcoming and friendly with a well stocked cellar. The food is excellent, prepared and served by staff who understand the clients expectations.

You should be able to expect a good standard of service wherever you go but they real measure of service excellence is how well a business copes when something has gone wrong and the manner in which they recover. Due to circumstances completely beyond the control of the management my friends and I arrived and a Wednesday lunchtime expecting to find a lunchtime menu with limited service outside because of the pandemic. Upon arrival I was greeted by a nice gentleman who turned out to be the manager who asked what he could get me. I ordered a pint of Guinness and asked for the menus. He informed me that they don't do food on Wednesdays. I explained that my friends and I had travelled some considerable distance and had expected to find a limited menu on offer. The manager made a prompt and heartfelt apology for the misunderstanding and assured me that we would be offered a choice of burgers or a homemade chilli con carne although it might take a little while as he would have to open up the kitchen. The service was excellent the food was delicious and very good value. We all left very satisfied with what turned out to be a very pleasant, if slightly damp, experience. It isn't often we are in the area but I can guarantee that we will be returning again in the future Update Came back again and this place gets better and better. A detail often overlooked is the condition of the toilets. At the Frog and Bucket they are immaculate, I have attached pictures. Totally outstanding place. Michael

Went there for a charity quiz night, was really fun, they weren't serving food to order, but did sell drinks and snacks, as well as providing a plate of some warm snacks to share (mini pizzas, chicken drumsticks and chips). A pool table is also available. Absolutely loved the ladies bathroom, the wallpaper is stunning.

Popped in for a quick bite and a drink. Owner really friendly and attentive. Food much better than expected. My wife particularly enjoyed her Caesar salad.

Delicious meal. I had lamb and the steak pie and noodle dish were all great.

Amazing food! Homemade but so much better :) the roast potatoes are the best I've had, the burgers and chips are fantastic too, they have special chips that look like chisels, makes them crispy and delicious, its a lovely atmosphere, staff are really friendly, it's our new go to place.

Lovely views from our table in the beer garden. Hadn't booked but just popped in after a walk on Bodmin moor. Met by waiter who showed us to a free table and took our drinks order. When the drinks were bought to our table we ordered some food. Very small menu but food was great. Had one more drink each then asked for the bill. Very good value for money and fab service.

Queue busting doesn't apply to this store. The manager popped out from the back several times, looking at the queue, watching it build up, even decided to prioritize clearing a tray at one point and then pop out back once again, finally when he decided to start serving, no apologies for the wait. Not sure if he was sculpting his eye brows or just had his feet up. The poor girl on till didn't look like she had 10 arms, but magically did the job of 2 staff. I'm a man, I'm pretty slow, but this guy beat me for sure. Maybe a long course in customer service may help mate because yours customers don't have all day!

Staff are always lovely and helpful except one. Today, he was wearing a mask and I don't think he realised or cared that people could hear his remarks from behind the mask, so impatient. When we left he was being rude to someone else. Everything else fine and easy to park.

Nice little Costa whilst dpi your shopping. Great idea. I wish we had these in Stoke-On-Trent with our shopping places. I’d definitely use the supermarket more if we did. Toilets close by so convenient for the older or younger generation. Nice polite staff too

My experience at the store was very unpleasant on this visit. There was an employee that goes by the name of Kirsty, upon ordering my food she wasn’t very welcoming. After completing my order she didn’t ask me if I would like anything else or even say thank you… to which I was a bit baffled as she had asked several customers infront of me. At this point I thought she was very rude. I collected my food and thanked the lady who served me my order. Went and got in my car to eat my sandwich, when I went to unravel the packaging the whole sandwich had fell apart and fell over my lap and the car seats. So I went back in and the same rude lady from before served me. She asked me what was wrong, I said about the sandwich falling apart due to it not being cut properly or packaged correctly. To which she laughed and was beginning to intimidate me, I reminded her that I’m a paying customer and I would just like my sandwich remade. I told her that I have been waiting patiently in line from the get go, she stated that she only had 3 colleagues on shift and 2 newbies. So I politely stated that there was 5 colleagues on shift. At this point She refused to remake my sandwich, so I said I would like to put in a formal complaint to which I asked her how I go about doing that. She followed by asking who is the complaint about and what’s it for, I then said it was about her and her attitude. To which she started laughing again and called me pathetic. I said to her I advise her not to laugh as she’s beginning to make a scene as there was other customers behind me waiting patiently. I asked for her name to which she didn’t give me, so out of frustration I raised my voice slightly and asked her again to make my sandwich. At which point she stormed off and her supervisor came out. The supervisor was very pleasant and friendly, remade my sandwich, gave me her colleagues name and how to go about making a complaint. I have been a regular customer at this store for a few years and never had an issue with any of the staff, food or cleanliness. But on this occasion everything has certainly been affected. I would like this employee to be dealt with meaningfully and seriously. She should not be working in a customer faced environment if she cannot contain her attitude.

Good points Fast service Delicious sandwiches and crisps Wide variety of drinks to choose from. Soft drinks, fruit juice, hot drinks and even milkshake! Bad points Chocolate chip cookies have too much brown sugar or whatever it is they put in. A meal deal is now £9 which i thi k is really expensive even for a footlong!

Very quiet when we visited one early evening. Think there was only one staff member working who took literally minutes to appear - at least 5/6 minutes. We almost walked out. They need some sort of alert/bell for when customers walk in to make them aware people are waiting to be served. Good food with plenty of options.

Food decent but the manager amber (short hair) is rude and abrupt, asked to make my own sub but with the same stuff the steak and cheese has in it, she looked at me as if I was stupid and said no because it has different bread? How hard was it just to say “that’s fine but it will have to be in a bread of your choice and not in the panini” literally just basic customer service, very condescending for the rest of our order as-well. The other member of staff at the toll side (blonde hair) was very polite and welcoming, so the stars are for her and simply her only.

Shocking service at this filthy subway, it should be closed down by health inspectors in my opinion. Stopped on our way to Cornwall in early July. A very rude young lad was stocking the empty trays, he barely looked up, I said I'd nip to the loo whilst he was busy. When I tried to open the door to the loo, you needed an entry code to get in (seriously)? I went back and asked him for the code, he refused to give it to me, saying it would be on my receipt once I'd paid for my order. I stood waiting for a further few minutes whilst he continued to refill the trays, eventually being served. I asked him to keep hold of my order whilst I then went to the loo (obviously not wanting to take my food in their with me) but he just pushed them toward me, and refused to hold on to them. I left the order on the counter and went to the loo, it was absolutely filthy in there. As I approached the counter to collect my order, a girl gave a code to another young girl who needed the loo, she hadn't yet been served, so I have no idea why the very rude man couldn't have done likewise. If you value your health, don't stop here.

Went for tea this evening, got takeaway. Service slow and unenthusiastic as usual. Asked for no onions, onions were in it. Asked for salad and sauce in 2 of the subs and there was none in either. Hardly any chicken in the chicken tikka sub we ordered. Asked for a gluten free cookie along with another 3 standard cookies but they were all in the same bag and looked the same so couldn’t have one. We are locals and have tried to support it quite a few times but after many bad experiences with the place and the staff we will not be returning. Very disappointed

Don't bother stopping here! We stopped for a quick drink on our way to our holiday. The weather was awful and the drinks and cookies not much better. We ordered 2 hot chocolates and 3 cookies. The drinks were like dirty dish water, they were both left on the table after one sip. The cookies were dry and hard. The 4 members of staff were rushed off their feet and the queue was so long it wasn't worth the wait to complain about the quality of the goods. There is only one toilet and the queue for this was neverending.

Delicious vegan big breakfast, coffee and cakes. Really nice owners and staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Great location in Launceston, a few minutes off the A30, we'll be popping in for breakfast or lunch each time we come and go on our hols to Cornwall.

Friendly service and delicious wholesome feel good vegan food. Cool music and a relaxing vibe. I would highly popping in for breakfast, brunch, lunch or a coffee and a cake. Try the rainbow buddha bowl and banana coffee smoothie they were both delicious.

I came in with my mum and my nan, they ordered a BLT and Buddha bowl and I ordered a Buddha bowl with falafel, to start off the flat whites were absolutely stunning, the best oat milk flat white I've ever had and I work as a barista in a coffee shop myself, the coffee was smooth and the coffee was hot, the froth smooth too. The Buddha bowl was absolutely stunning, the dressings were lovely, everything was so so tasty and don't even get me started on the falafel. I would 100% recommend you go here, service is top notch and so is all the food!

Popped in for lunch, had a delish Falafel buddha bowl, BLT (one of the best bagel sandwiches we’ve had), and latte. Friendly staff and welcoming place. Will def be eating here again!

Big brand chain offering your stereotypical coffee, cake and re-heated 'food' stuff. Expect inconsistent service without a smile or much efficiency.

Friendly counter service. Very busy and more staff needed. Sat in with coffee. One large table for six covered with laptop, note books, pen, blue paper roll, all unattended. Another table had cleaning fluid bottle and cloth left on it. Mop and bucket left by another table. Broom and dustpan left at end of counter. Not pleasant to sit around with cleaning not finished. Sat and observed while drinking my coffee for more than 25 mins. Staff need more training. Given that my usual coffee has increased by 15p today Costa can afford to adequately train and provide enough staff to give good service.

The prices are getting higher and higher, you might as well go out to a restaurant how much they charge here now! To top it off they are using less quality ingredients from what I can tell. We primarily used to go for my partner as she loved the pizza even she was disappointed, absolutely disgusting unless you like cardboard with fake cheese then pay top price for it go ahead! Their “stuffed crust” is not very stuffed…. As you can see from the photo. The actual Pizza dough flatter than cardboard……

Leon in there is fantastic, I wanted something off menu and he did all he could to cater to my request, it was so appreciated! The food was hot, fresh, thoroughly enjoyed it and it was a great end to the night :)

Hands down, 100% the best takeaway in Launceston, it blows all others out of the water, simply cannot find other place that offers the amazing food and service that Pizza Time does, delivery times are lightning fast, service is great and food is something special.

Just had delivery . It was cold chips was not fresh . Kebab and all in the bin disgusting. I’m not happy . I would not recommend to anyone. But the delivery man was polite.

Really good pizza. Young lady that served was very polite and professional, refreshing to see these days. Huge smiles and all very happy to be there. Very happy to help with choices and point out the best deal. As far as Domino's pizza goes, this makes it into my top 5.

Sorry guys, but when you allow your staff I.e the boy and girl at the till wearing a hoodie, its feels like you are being greeted by a crackhead gangster. Then to allow them both to smoke and spit outside the front door before going back in and not washing thier hands to continue serving has really put my family off for life. Do you not know that customer are out side watching? Also to allow your delivery car drivers to pull in at such speed and abandon their car across both disabled bays is not good.
