Former actress, and convicted felon, Allison Mack, 39, reported to the Federal Correctional Institute, Dublin, on Monday, September 13.
Mack was placed into the low security area of the prison, apparently not qualifying for the minimum security prison camp. Dublin is a women’s prison in Alameda County, California.
Mack was sentenced to three years in June for one count each of racketeering and racketeering conspiracy. The convictions arose from her plea deal on charges for her roles in NXIVM and an associated sorority, DOS. She was originally charged with sex trafficking and faced up to life in prison if she were to be convicted.
Mack arrived at Dublin on September 13, roughly two weeks before Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis ordered her surrender. She joined some 660 other inmates in the low security prison. According to the BOP, her “Register Number” is 90838-053 and her release date is March 29, 2024. If this remains true, she will serve two years, six months, two weeks and two days of her three year sentence.
She reported two weeks and two days early and it is possible Mack will get an adjusted release date of March 13, 2024.
Prisoners who are qualified and request it can be approved for release up to 12 months early into a Residential Reentry Center, or RRC, Mack might be out of Dublin as early as March 2023. RRC facilities used to be called “half-way houses.”

FCI Dublin is located near the center of California, and about a six hour drive from Allison’s parents’ home in Los Alamitos, where she spent three years subject to home confinement after her arrest in April 2018.
According to Dublin’s “Inmate Admission and Orientation Handbook” Mack will be assigned to a housing unit, a self-contained inmate living area and office space for staff. A unit used to be called a “cell block.”
Mack will reside with three or four-women in a shared cell, with dual bunk beds and one toilet and sink. There is no privacy area for the toilet area.
Inmates are prohibited from having sex with each other.
The average sentence of inmates at Dublin is reportedly five years.
Some of the rules Mack will now be required to follow are:
- Make her bed every day before work (including weekends and holidays).
- Keep her cell clean including sweeping and mopping, removing trash, etc..
- Wear her full uniform from 6am-2pm Monday through Friday, and whenever she leaves the housing unit for work, or to attend programs.
- Monday through Friday, except for holidays, inmates will wear Khaki pants and blouse with a brown t-shirt underneath which is tucked into the pants. Blouses must be buttoned, minus the top button at all times.
- Grey zippered jackets may be worn over the khaki blouse as long as the inmate’s nametag is clearly visible.
- The khaki blouse must have the inmate’s name, register number, and proper unit identification.
- Belts are not authorized.
- Other than approved religious headgear, hats will not be worn indoors.
- Grey t-shirts may only be worn after hours, in the housing unit, or at recreation. White t-shirts may only be worn in the cell.
- Boots must be worn while in uniform, unless a medical soft shoe pass has been issued.
- At no time will shower shoes, “croc” type sandals, or flips flops be worn out of the housing unit or during work hours.
- The only footwear permitted to be worn out of a housing unit is sneakers and boots.
- All inmates are prohibited from wearing any clothing not government-issued or purchased in the Commissary.
- No inmates may be issued, permitted to purchase, or have in their possession any blue, black, red, or camouflage clothing or cloth items.
- Ordinarily, photographs, particularly those of family and friends, are approved.
- Personal photographs may be stored or displayed in the housing units, provided they are not nude or “partially nude,” or when the photograph depicts sexual acts such as intercourse, fellatio, or sodomy.
- Mack may possess one approved radio or MP3 player, and watch. She may not listen to explicit music.
- Mack may have one plain wedding band, one pair of stud or small hoop earrings (less than 1” diameter).
- Homemade bracelets, hair ties, earrings are not permitted and will be confiscated.
- Sun bathing is prohibited.
- Smoking is prohibited.
- To maintain the efficiency of the air conditioning and heating system, cell windows are to remain closed and secured at all times.
- All cell lights must be off when unoccupied.
- Cell doors are closed when inmates are not in them. Opened cell doors must be all the way opened.
- Everyone is responsible for cleaning up after herself.
- No items are authorized to hang on the walls, doors, or beds.
- Nails and hooks are not authorized in any walls.
- Nude or sexually suggestive photographs are NOT authorized. Provocative pictures, posters, cartoons, and any items cut out of magazines may not be displayed on the bulletin boards or in any cell or dorm.
- Showers are available every day, but inmates may not be in the shower during an official count or during sanitation schedules.
- Lights must remain on in the showers at ALL times.
- PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) approved shower curtains must be in all showers. (Privacy shower curtains that obscure shoulder to leg or semi-transparent shower curtains that allow staff to determine dangerous activity or multi-person occupancy without violating privacy.)
- Only one inmate is permitted in the shower at a time.
- Unit televisions may be viewed during established off-duty hours.
- During normal working hours, unit televisions may be viewed at the discretion of staff.
- Unit meal rotation is ordinarily based on weekly sanitation ratings of each unit. The unit with the highest sanitation is called first, and the unit with the lowest rating is called last.
- Within 14 days of arrival, all newly committed inmates will receive a complete physical examination. This examination includes a chest x-ray (when clinically indicated), dental examination, and tests for communicable diseases.
- A general wake-up for all inmates is 5:00am. It is the inmate’s responsibility to leave the unit for meals and work.
- Late sleepers who are unable to maintain rooms or arrive at work on time are subject to disciplinary action.
- Five official inmate counts will occur every 24 hours. The inmate is expected to be standing at bedside during official counts, and during the morning watch counts, ensure there are no jackets, blankets or other items hanging from the bed, wall, or locker, restricting the Officer’s vision of the inmate.
- The inmate must actually be seen at all counts, even if the inmate must be awakened.
- Inmates are permitted to enroll in correspondence courses involving only “paper and pencil.” Courses requiring equipment are generally not authorized.
- Telephone calls are limited to 15 minutes. Telephone calls are subject to monitoring and recording by institution staff.
- Inmates are limited to 300 minutes per month and may be used for any combination of collect or direct dial calls.
- Television programming is provided in the unit along with opportunities to view movies Encore Family on Channel 61.
- An inmate wishes to be married while incarcerated, may be authorized by the Warden to do so under certain conditions. The inmate will pay all expenses of the marriage.
As for continuing education, Mack’s opportunities seem limited now that she is in prison.
In her sentencing memorandum, Mack’s lawyers emphasized that she “re-devoted herself to pursuing a positive and constructive life, centered around the three pillars of family, education, and healing.”
While subject to home confinement, she was given permission to work, go to college, and attend church.
While on home confinement, Mack received an associate’s degree at a community college and was engaged in pursuing her bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Berkeley. She also worked for a catering businesses.
On September 10, just days before reporting to Dublin, Page Six published an article showing Mack having lunch with an unidentified man. They were photographed holding hands as they walked down the street and did not respond to questions about their relationship or Mack’s impending prison sentence.
She was seen wearing a printed sun-dress and sunglasses, and boots that covered her cumbersome ankle monitor. She appeared healthy and enjoying the freedom of not wearing a mask.

If Mack is released in 30 months, she will be 41 years old. She will then be obliged to undergo three years of supervised release.

As a long time watcher of Smallville, I am of mixed emotions.
I find it tremendously sad that her actions may have permanently tainted our memories of that show. She went from being an icon to a pariah virtually overnight, all by her own actions. I have to wonder, with her being a fairly talented actress, how much of the what she shows the public is real or just for show?
That said, I wish her well, even with all that she’s done.
I have to say I find it comical that the prison where she’s at, I’ve actually been to. Though in my case it was as a member of the military, at Camp Parks. My time there was very short, and her time will probably seem like an eternity.
I now hope she can make something of her life, out of the spotlight. For those who were in it, doing so I’m told, is very, vey difficult, so possibly part of what she did was driven to feel something more in her life. We may never know, and I’m not sure I want to know.

Federal prisoners do have access to email through an internal BOP email system. But you would need to be on Allison’s approved email list in order to be able to communicate with her that way (If you want to do that, you’ll have to send her a letter asking to be added to her approved email list).
You have what is called Trulincs. It’s an email system in the federal prison system. I served one year in the feds for wire fraud. I absolutely deserved it. No question. But in answer to your question, yes, there is email available. But it’s heavily monitored.
Trulincs is also quite expensive — and inmates have to pay for using it out of the same funds that they use for their commissary account.
Is there a way for me to look up her email? I have difficulty writing and it is far easier for me to type. I’m willing to contribute to her account to help her maintain access to her email.

Nancy Salzman should already be in prison because of her bail violations. But New York Judges are different, especially this Judge Garaufis.
I think Allison was 35-36 when she was doing the branding and the whole DOS thing. I have no idea how a 35-year-old woman thought that was a productive and good way to spend her time.

The BOP has not yet given stars or points to categorize the prisons. But it is a good idea to set up a portal like Tripadvisor etc. does with customer reviews and green dot ratings where prison inmates comment and rate the prisons.

Clare is in a facility in Philadelphia that is similar to MDC: e.g., most of the inmates are in pre-trial or pre-sentence status; no outdoor yard; very limited sunlight; etc. All in all, an unpleasant place.
If Nancy ends up in her preferred placement in Danbury, CT, she’ll most likely be assigned to FSL Danbury, which houses about 150 inmates and is designated as a Level 2 care level facility (There is also a “prison camp” there that houses about 50 prisoners but it is generally limited to inmates with fewer than 12-months left to serve).
According to our sources, the prison where Allison has reported is overcrowded with 2-person cells now housing 3 inmates – and 3-person cells now housing 4 inmates. Those kinds of conditions make day-to-day living a lot tougher – especially when COVID-19 protocols are in place.
You can be at the camp with plenty of time left. One inmate there now has an outdate of 2034. The FSL is absolutely horrid, largely filled with thuggish sex offenders and violent drug offenders (Regular drug offenders and white-collar end up at the camp). That camp though is a rotting pit as far as structure goes. I have no idea how it is permitted to house humans. It’s rotting, decrepit, regularly lacks hot water even for showers for weeks on end, lacks heating even in the winter (It gets COLD in the mountains of Connecticut!) and is like being baked in an oven during summer since there is no air conditioning. The FSL does at least have air conditioning. But the crowd– yuck.
The crowding must be why Mack is not in the camp at Dublin. It’s quite unfathomable her points would be too high to be there.
You could be right about who qualifies for the camp nowadays. I was going off my memory of what the rules were there before they did the rehab in the main prison there several years ago.
You’re definitely right about the inmates at the FSL – which is why I think Nancy would not do well there. There are a lot of Chicanas there who likely have heard about the sex cult that branded so many Mexican women.

Equivalent Example: Just because I think it’s going to rain in Florida tomorrow does not mean that I hope everyone in Florida drowns.

So a 3 year prison sentence has shriveled to a year and a half. WTAF?
Mack was originally charged with sex trafficking, which carries a mandatory minimum 20 year sentence. Given the facts that emerged at trial, she was clearly guilty of that crime. She was recruiting and blackmailing women and ordering them to his bed. A procuress. She was an integral part of Nxivm and DOS, Raniere’s parter, a key part of the criminal enterprise.
He got 120 years. His partner gets 18 months.
If you want horrible, look at this from the perspective of her cellmates who will have to endure her.
Nicki got what she wanted out of Allison.
To stay in Albany to be with her Master boyfriend who told her what she could and couldn’t do.
Now, she gets to say in the United States and be across the country from her Master and boyfriend who still tells her what to do.
Rumor is Nicki has been a very bad girl and had her rights to visit her Vanguard taken away. She can’t even email him anymore.
What will she do now that she doesn’t have him telling her every move to make?
Guess the men of NXIVM five will have to pass along his orders to Nicki.
Nicki Clyne has been off Twitter for days now. Interesting. Also Linda Chung has stopped following Nicki and vice versa on Twitter. Guess Chung is officially out. Suneel rid his Twitter of anything NXIVM related. I wager Danielle Roberts is next. There may be hope for Nicki now that she’s cut off from Raniere.

Maybe Nicki is acting erratic because her lifelong partner, Allison, is now incarcerated and was seen with a new BOYFRIEND 🙁 That must have been very traumatic. Let’s not judge – and, instead, let’s support Nicki during these difficult times.
Nicki “Squeaky” Clyne does seem to tweet a lot about “Finding out who her real friends are” and other immature, pouty, adolescent trash for a woman nearing 40 years old. So a master/slave spat is a real possibility.

March 29, 2024 is the correct expected release date for Allison Mack. The release date is calculated after the start of detention. September 29 was the latest allowed detention start date for Mack. She chose an earlier date to begin her prison term.
Alanzo must be bummed by the data that Allison has already got a boyfriend. Or is the real data that he’s just a hetero cover for her? Objective data says she was married to Nicki. Frank is there any data about whether Allison is rekindling her love of women (even if sex is forbidden by the rules)?
