Der dreisemestrige trinationale Masterstudiengang verbindet ein weiterführendes Ingenieurstudium mit umfassenden Sprachkenntnissen, um die Absolventen bestens für den europäischen Markt und entsprechende Führungspositionen zu qualifizieren. Zu diesem Zweck wird - neben der deutschen Unterrichtssprache - ein Teil der Vorlesungen von französischen und Schweizer Dozenten in der jeweiligen Landessprache abgehalten. Mit dem Abschluss des Masters erlangen die Absolventen auch die Befähigung zu einer Laufbahn im höheren technischen Dienst und die Zugangsqualifikation für eine Promotion.

Studierende können nach dem einheitlichen Grundstudium sich im Hautpstudium für eine der 6 Studienvertiefungen entscheiden. Das Studium ist sehr praxisorientiert: Projekte werden schon im 1.Semester durchgeführt, in zahlreichen Laborveranstaltungen werden die Studieninhalte praxisbezogen und anwendungsorientiert vermittelt, hinzu kommen das Praxissemester und Bachelorthesis in der Industrie. Die Studierenden werden in die laufenden Forschungsprojekte der Fakultät eingebunden. Die Studierenden schätzen die persönliche Atmosphäre innerhalb der Fakultät. Unterstützungangebote mit Lernzentren.

Der Abschluss befähigt zur Aufnahme einer führenden Position im Bereich Elektrotechnik.
