As we step into September, a whole array of shows and movies on Netflix are prepping for their release. This month, we’re going to see an Indian sci-fi movie featuring two Mirzapur co-stars, a documentary about fugitive billionaires and a whole bunch of English shows and movies. These vary from Oscar-winners to superhero flicks and even a gory horror film coming your way. While there were a lot of great titles to choose from this month, especially, we picked out 10 that are straightway going to the top of our watchlists for this month. We hope it helps you too.

1. Cargo

Past experience tells us that Bollywood isn’t too great when it comes to genres like sci-fi. However, director Arati Kadav made this bold venture with her upcoming film Cargo. This film joins the list of shows and movies on Netflix on September 9, 2020, and features Mirzapur co-stars Vikrant Massey and Shweta Tripathi. It tells the story of a spaceship where souls of the dead are prepped for their reincarnation. However, when a new lively assistant joins the spaceship, the lone crew member’s rigid existence is disrupted.

2. Bad Boy Billionaires: India

Our country has seen more than its fair share of scandals. While everyone wants to be a billionaire, there are some of India’s most infamous tycoons who went to the top and fell from there pretty hard. This investigative docu-series explores the greed, fraud and corruption that built up — and ultimately brought down — India’s most infamous tycoons. It will finally reveal, part by part, what exactly went down in the lives of fugitives like Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi, Subrata Roy and Ramalinga Raju. We have to be honest, this one is the most intriguing out of all the shows and movies on Netflix that are releasing in September 2020.

3. I’m Thinking of Ending Things

If there was an Oscar for the Best Trailer of the year, one of the most convincing nominations would be for I’m Thinking of Ending Things, which joins the shows and movies on Netflix, later this week. In this psychological horror film, a woman, despite wanting to end the relationship, joins her boyfriend on a road trip to meet his parents at their remote farm. If you loved Jordan Peele’s Get Out, we have a feeling you’ll enjoy this one too.

Jason Momoa as Aquaman was an instant success and brought this forgotten superhero to the frontline of the Justice League and how. Aquaman excelled in his solo outing and the audience quickly fell in love with his world of Atlantis. From Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones to Aquaman, Jason Momoa has come a long way and was even part of a flagship Apple TV+ show called See. Aquaman is a perfect family entertainer, among all the movies on Netflix.

5. Enola Holmes

We all love Sherlock Holmes for his wit and his tales. However, it seems like this gene runs in the entire Holmes Family. Netflix has brought a spin off to the hit detective series where Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things fame plays the famous detective’s lesser known sister. She is searching for her missing mother and uses her sleuthing skills to outsmart big brother Sherlock, played by Henry Cavill, and help a runaway lord.

6. The Devil All The Time

Tom Holland of Spider-Man fame is also set to feature in a film that will join the roster of shows and movies on Netflix that are releasing in September 2020. In this one, however, he plays a regular guy living in a small town full of corruption and crime trying the best he can to protect his loved ones. This film also features the new Batman star Robert Pattinson, Sebastian Stan who you may recall as Bucky and Bill Skarsgård, who played the infamous scary clown Pennywise.

7. Blackkklansman

Among all the shows and movies on Netflix that are releasing in September 2020, this one won an Oscar for the best writing and was even nominated in the Best Picture category. Featuring John David Washington in the lead, it tells the story of the first Black African American to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department. As an on duty cop, he decides to bravely go after the Ku Klux Klan, with the help of his more experienced colleague, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver). It has been directed by Spike Lee.

10. The Babysitter: Killer Queen

Have you been craving a dose of gory horror movies on Netflix with plotlines so predictable, you’re basically in it to just see if your expectations fall correctly? Well then you’re in for a treat with The Babysitter: Killer Queen. It features Bella Thorne in the lead and is a sequel to the 2017 film set two years after he defeated the satanic cult led by his babysitter. Now, they’re back for revenge.
