The last official NES game is Wario's Woods in 1994.
that's impressive, that's two years before the release of the n64. they were still making NES games almost all the way through the entire lifecycle of the SNES
Actually according this list: The Super Famicom lasted to 2000. Mind you during that point you could get downloadable games, and there were vending Machines where you could get Pokémon Puzzles on a Memory card. The Last game was a Remake of Famicom game which was downloaded. It was only a year before the Game cube. Outside Japan, the SNES died early N64 days. Actually, Europe Last SNES games was before European Launch of N64!
Makes sense considering the (relatively) huge adoption rate of the Nes globally to continue to support it. I believe EA is still making FIFA titles for PS2 because it still manages to turn a profit so the thinking might be similar.
The last PlayStation 2 game was Pro Evolution Soccer 2014.
so they developed games for the PS2 for 13 years. Interesting, especially considering since the NES was released in 1983 it only developed games for 11 years.
