Reviews
- The mastering on this LP is astounding! I'd put this up against a lot of reissues that have come along since. Terrific soundstage.
- This CD is the same as the one released in 1988. The symbol "R" on OBI indicates that it was released in 1988.
- Definitive Doobies done right. My copy sounds great. Didn't realize that Arlo Guthrie played Autoharp on this album. The album artwork is a bit confusing as it would lead a lot of people to think this is a live record. It's a nice gatefold that tickles that bone that yearns for the Doobie Brothers.
- Edited 4 months agoOf the 60 MFSL SACD’s that I’ve heard, this is one of the very best. Astounding sound quality.
- Fantastic sound quality. Black Water, Eyes of Silver and Another Park, Another Sunday have never sounded so good!
- Mix of country soul R&B & boogie rock on a sonic palette of twin duelling guitars & drummers, dynamic harmonies, funky blasts from the Memphis Horns & the DB’s signature clean production.
Great fun rock n’ roll smokin’ weed kinda album. - Edited 4 years agoYes, this album is collectively "that strong." In fact, it's an astonishingly good album. Never heard it until today, and this one is a keeper. Also, the foidout poster is dope. Enjoy with a nice glass of scotch.
