This is mainly a dive centre but available to open water swimmers and training triathletes.

The water is lovely and clear, if a little cold, but as it is a flooded quarry it is very deep.

The swim is marked out by buoys and is easy to follow and overhanging trees and cliffs protect it from the wind.

There is an excellent cafe on site for a well earned cup of tea and bacon butty!

Good place to swim, busy at weekends with divers but mid week days are generally very quite, easy access of slipway or jetties. Changing rooms with showers, basic but handy. Used by Tri clubs and with an on site cafe! Plenty of fish too.

SCUBA items t depth with buoys on the surface to mark them, otherwise no issues
