- John P4 contributionsIt is like a baseball time capsule, combining the best of classic charm with modern comfort. The red-brick exterior exudes a timeless vibe, and once inside, the intimate setting and perfect views create a genuine connection to the game. Whether you're into the history of baseball or just want to soak in the excitement of the moment, Camden Yards has that perfect blend, making it a must-visit spot for any fan looking for a truly authentic baseball experience.Written 16 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alicia_JAChicago336 contributionsWhat amazing history! The grounds are beautiful and the fort is well maintained. The NPS rangers were friendly and the visitor center is comfortable and has a great museum and gift shop. By chance, we were scheduled to visit the day after the Francis Scott Key bridge collapsed. We were able to see the Dali still stuck in the wreckage on the Patapsco River.Written 6 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ray RGrand Rapids, MI81 contributionsWonderful aquarium! The exhibit/tour is setup very well and easy to follow. They don't do dolphin shows anymore but you can still watch the dolphins swim and play. Lots of options for food, nicely appointed gift shop, and some very cool exhibits! Right on the pier in the harbor.Written 9 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AmyBCooperChicago, IL44 contributionsThis museum has a series of collections that span medieval times through to today. Fairy lovely, nice café, beautiful view of Mount Vernon. - Alicia_JAChicago336 contributionsThis neighborhood is a gem in an otherwise tough city. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to keep you occupied for a full day. The cobblestone streets are historic and the preserved buildings are beautiful. It was relaxing to walk these streets along the northwest branch of the Paptapsco River. Beware of the infamous "warf rats" that Baltimore is so fond of!Written 6 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David SColumbia, Maryland8 contributionsVery nice tour of the Sagamore distillery at Baltimore Peninsula. Wholeheartedly commend our informative and amusing guide, Jake, for walking us through the distilling process and the tasting. Of particular note were the fabulous cocktails we enjoyed at their on-site lounge overlooking the scenic Patapsco River.Written 29 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Y YScotch Plains, NJ115 contributionsThis museum has THE best gift store I have ever seen with extremely unusual stuff. The museum itself has display items that are extremely unusual and cool! I loved the huge model of the titanic made out of toothpicks, an extremely well done tapestries that really help you understand her experiences when the Nazi's took over Germany and her story.Written 14 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peter HFredericksburg, VA985 contributionsHappy New Year!🎈🎊
As I suspected, this area of Fell’s Point in Baltimore ended up being an excellent choice for fireworks celebrations on New Year’s Eve.
The only downside is that it will put a dent in your wallet. Most bars serve a cheap beer and it will set you back $15-$20. What ever happened to the $2 beer? Haha!Written 1 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The impressionist collection is among the best I've ever seen, particularly the range of work by Matisse. The modern art and African art collections, while not huge, are also great. I appreciated being able to go through the museum, learn about the art from the very well-done curation, and not be overwhelmed by a huge collection. The museum also free admission (at least when I was there), a terrific restaurant (Gertrude's), and a very nice auditorium. Definitely worth a trip, a meal, and a concert if something interesting is playing.Written 20 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RogueTrippersGuelph, Canada4,877 contributionsAre you a fan of trains? Are you a fan of the game Monopoly? Â
Then a visit to the B&O railway museum is a must-do when you visit Baltimore. Â
The museum houses dozens of locomotives from Baltimore’s rich train history. Â
The roundhouse has many trains parked inside, and many are open to tour through. Â
The garage housed one of our favourites, the art deco-designed locomotive. Â
The exhibit on the underground railroad and the role Mont Clare Station played in helping enslaved people fleeing for freedom in a better place had me in tears. It is a very moving exhibit that really touches you deeply. These stories need to be told, and the B&O railway museum did a fantastic job telling them with heart and truth and demonstrating the strength and tenacity these people had to fight for their freedom. Â
It is truly heart-wrenching. Â
The museum is very affordable, and there is free onsite parking..Â
