What travelers are saying
- Diane KColorado Springs, CO178 contributionsThis place is spectacular. Obviously we didn't stay in the Biltmore House, we stayed at the Estate Inn. The amenities were as nice as any I've experienced, plus a real red rose, robes and slippers, luxurious bathroom products, a bottle of wine, and a coffee table book. We also had tickets to the Chihuly exhibit. The grounds are remarkable. The dining was 'top shelf'. Great service.Written May 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Manny-Kaye GSt. Petersburg, Florida400 contributionsThe Bloom with a View event offered beautiful displays of flowers and plants in time for spring. The trails were very easy as well. We spent about 4 to 5 hours here on a late weekday morning. Most of the visitors were older until a school bus came with about 30 kids, but they had a staff and a few other adults guiding them so they did not get in the way of the visitors.Written May 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Richardandlaurie63 contributionsWe stopped here on the way to our Blue ridge Mountain Tour. The artist work is so beautiful. They even had demonstrations of pottery making - really interesting to watch. There are very diverse pieces by multiple artists. Wood, pottery, glass, carvings, hats, books, etc. I have spent hours looking at everything. I took home some beautiful pieces as memories of our trip.Written April 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DDStovallGainesville, GA895 contributionsGreat experience and brought back a lot of childhood memories. LOTS of pinball machines and old time video games from a bygone era.Written April 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Opinion8edWebster, NY33 contributionsHad the distinct pleasure of attending Mass here on 4/27/24 and felt most welcome. The tour provided afterwards was very professional and fascinating. A husband and wife couple provided excellent information about the church and its builders. They truly brought history to life and successfully shared their love for design, architecture, and their parish. Thanks so much!Written April 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DesiraeMarieCrossville, TN378 contributionsWe come here every visit to Asheville and buy an ornament! I love that they are unique and one of a kind. They have a variety of items and everything is beautiful! We even grabbed some glass ware this last visit!Written January 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - melissa cNiceville, FL9 contributionsThe Woolworth Walk was a very cool experience. It has artwork from all different types of artists and mediums. The kids even enjoyed wandering around exploring all the different boothsWritten March 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - slonnieMiddletown, NJ159 contributionsWhat a lovely spot! Grovewood Village was our first stop after arriving in Asheville. What we liked is the more intimate experience of the larger next door Grove Park Inn hotel.
Tom, the antique car docent, is hands down the nicest person to guide you through not only the car museum but help with any questions you have about Biltmore Industries. For families, there is a fun exhibit outside of whimsical animals as well as what looks like a fun small restaurant, elders (I think was the name). Compared to some of the other busier more congested spots in Asheville this a wonderful gem of a retreat.Written April 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We have had the most luck seeing the most animals early in the morning or on cool days. When it is hot or late in the day they all seem to be sleeping and are sometimes hard to see during that time. We always start with the Otters and circle back to them. If they aren’t swimming or visible during our first stop we always see them on the 2nd stop. In all of our trips we have never seen every animal in one trip. They have lots of good places to hide to sleep. In addition to the animals there are lots of play areas to break up the time and picnic tables for a lunch or snacks.Written April 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JohnAnnColumbia_MDColumbia, MD1,866 contributionsWe took the tour of the Thomas Wolfe home at about 10:30 am on a Wednesday. There is limited free parking at the house. The tour guide was excellent and the inexpensive tour was quite informative. The original furniture was spectacular for a 1900s boarding house. The exhibit which included many original family possessions was also very informative. The biographical film was truly excellent. One obtained an exceptionally good description of Thomas Wolfe's life and literary career. We highly recommend this marvelous experience to all. We spent about 2 hours for the tour and exhibits.Written April 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wethikerNaples195 contributionsWe all liked New Belgium and they had a huge variety of beers at the best prices in town. It's a factory for beer with a large indoor space and a beautiful outside area overlooking the river. We love the breweries in Asheville and this one has the best scenic view. Most days the outside heaters were off. Lots of food trucks but we came here every week for beer as it was only five minutes from our rental.Written April 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Roy PGreenville, SC7 contributionsThe trail is fairly easy from the picnic parking area, but has a steady incline of about 13° up to the spur that goes to the overlook area. However, some shirtless guy was doing loud and obnoxious yoga right in the center of the main overlook circle, making many women feel uncomfortable. If this was you, please stop. Many, many people commented on how it diminished their experience because you were literally right in the center of the viewing area doing strange breathing exercises.
If you ignore him (he made it really tough), this trail offers some gorgeous vistas in nearly 360° from the top. I love this hike and recommend it, as long as shirtless loud yoga guy isn't there.Written April 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are many, many workshops, mostly of art. It was a Sunday so many were closed but that was fine because there were still a lot of them to see.Written October 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - trophywestRedding, CA778 contributionsThough it was rainy, the historical buildings were interesting. There are some shops for the must have items. There is free wine tasting but the line was very long & not moving. A hint would be to just go to the wine bar & pay for what you would like to try.Written January 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
