With our return to Beirut, after exploring other regions of the country, we opted for a change of scenery by renting a different apartment, in another area. This time our need for vibrancy led us to the enchanting neighborhood of Saifi Village. The choice turned out to be a delightful revelation. Saifi Village, a short stroll from the Gemmayzeh neighborhood, emanates an endearing Parisian charm that harmonizes seamlessly with Lebanon's reputation as "The Paris of the Middle East." Navigating through its cobblestone streets feels like a journey through time, with art galleries, chic boutiques, and inviting cafes gracing the historic surroundings.

Celebrated for its architectural splendor, Saifi Village offered us a serene retreat where the elegance of yesteryears converges with contemporary artistry. The atmosphere was not only rich with history but also pulsating with a newfound vibrancy that left us captivated. It beckoned us to leisurely sit on our balcony, with a glass of our favorite beverages, soaking in the picturesque view. It's no wonder that, in our brief stay, we found ourselves with front-row seats to numerous fashion and wedding shoots, a testament to the allure of this unique neighborhood.

Near to the place of the martyrs you will find this area with a lot of nice shops. Take the opportunity to walk through the narrow streets and see the beautiful houses there and get a glimpse of the splendor time Beirut used to have in former times.

This residential area has some galleries and some nice restaurants. But it is very small and there really is not much there. Worth a quick cup of coffee at a cafe and a quick stroll.

What not to love about the Village: the lovely buildings in pastels colours, the quirky boutiques, the shady little squares and the quietness of it all.
Certainly this is a nice way to rebuild after the civil war and a way to give the city a new identity (maybe even an old identity as I do not know how Beirut looked before).

It's about a small area with some art galleries and a restaurant where you can walk. It's not spacious, and it's main disadvantage is that it's surrounded by highways so you feel as if you're disconnected with other touristic districts of Beirut. But it's nice to walk and have a pleasant time.

There is a couple of art stores/ galleries, but that's it. The place was dead. Maybe it is a weekend evening kind of place (was there on a Friday afternoon).

Rebuilt after the Israeli destruction of Beirut in 2006, The company of ex-Priminister Rafik Al-Hariri has don a wonderful job. Restored origional master plans of Beirut reflects the authenticity of the Renaissance era in Lebanon.

It is the "Quartier des Arts" of Beirut. Close to the city center, explore its well-kept alleys, well-painted houses and art galleries, bolangeries and small squares. Very nice place.
