With our return to Beirut, after exploring other regions of the country, we opted for a change of scenery by renting a different apartment, in another area. This time our need for vibrancy led us to the enchanting neighborhood of Saifi Village. The choice turned out to be a delightful revelation. Saifi Village, a short stroll from the Gemmayzeh neighborhood, emanates an endearing Parisian charm that harmonizes seamlessly with Lebanon's reputation as "The Paris of the Middle East." Navigating through its cobblestone streets feels like a journey through time, with art galleries, chic boutiques, and inviting cafes gracing the historic surroundings.

Celebrated for its architectural splendor, Saifi Village offered us a serene retreat where the elegance of yesteryears converges with contemporary artistry. The atmosphere was not only rich with history but also pulsating with a newfound vibrancy that left us captivated. It beckoned us to leisurely sit on our balcony, with a glass of our favorite beverages, soaking in the picturesque view. It's no wonder that, in our brief stay, we found ourselves with front-row seats to numerous fashion and wedding shoots, a testament to the allure of this unique neighborhood.

Beautifully and elegantly designed with great taste (buildings, streets, alleys, shops and cafes). But I would say too posh for our taste. Walked into a gallery shop with my older age parents and the owner warned me that she has no insurance if one of my parents would fall she will not be covered :(

Expected to see more of artisans and craft shops, but only found a few galleries. Realxing area for an afternoon stroll with a few nice buildings, but unfortunately not more than that.

There is a couple of art stores/ galleries, but that's it. The place was dead. Maybe it is a weekend evening kind of place (was there on a Friday afternoon).

It is a quiet and peaceful area in the heart of Beirut... I wish it was car free in all its area because it is a very beautiful walking area where you can find restaurants and cafés... Some free outdoor seating benches... It is highly recommended when you visit Beirut... Beautiful buildings and surroundings colorful areas...

I was looking forward to seeing this part of town as it is newly built and the Architecture is BEAUTIFUL - the rebuilding is apparent all over Beirut. I was shocked by the lack of pedestrians and visitors. Rather cold & sterile. My hope is once tourism picks up- it will be lively.

Saifi Village is primarily a residential area, and it's lucky enough to have been renovated after the war, so it's much more beautiful than most of the rest of the city. There's not a whole lot to do there if you're a tourist, but it's nice to go for a little walk through.

This is a small area, very central, beautifully rehabilitated. Hence superb buildings, for the super rich.
There are a few galleries and restaurants but this is it.
Nothing really happens there. And there is no life.

beautifully restored, yet completely sterile. it's supposed to be the 'artist' area of Beirut, but apart from few galleries and a cafe on a street corner, nothing much is happening in Safi village.
