About
Hill Aerospace Museum is located on approximately 30 acres of the northwest corner of Hill Air Force Base, five miles south of Ogden, Utah. The Museum, which opened in 1986, was founded in 1981 as a part of the United States Air Force Heritage Program. The Utah Museum hosted its five millionth visitor in the fall of 2019. More than 360,000 visitors, coming from every state and from many foreign countries, visited the museum in 2019. Not only does the Museum have close to 100 aircraft displayed in its two inside galleries and outside air park, it exhibits thousands of artifacts depicting the history of aviation of the United States Air Force, Hill Air Force Base and the State of Utah. Hill Aerospace Museum also has a STEM Education program housed in the Lt. General Marc C. Reynolds Aerospace Center for Education. FREE ADMISSION! FREE ADMISSION!

A pleasant aerospace museum showcasing some vintage planes, most under roof. You get very close to the planes. Because of COVID you can't get into the cockpits of the ones that they normally open cockpits for. This is an average museum and in my opinion falls into the "if you've seen one aerospace museum you've seen them all" category. It's not much different than other typical plane museums. It is on Hill AFB but you don't go on base. The museum is very clean and kept up very nicely. We made a special trip up that way to see it and it really wasn't worth it because it's just another plane museum. Still, if you live nearby, or in the area and want to find a place to kill a few hours with the kids, this will do it for sure.

If you are even remotely interested in airplanes and airplane history you have to come see the Hill Aerospace Museum!!
The exhibits are beyond fascinating. Dozens of historical planes, recent historic planes and planes of today. All are in extremely great condition.
In addition to the planes there are also wheeled vehicles, sample uniforms from days gone by, and stories about famous airmen.
Are also docents around the museum willing to talk to you about any of the exhibits; and extremely knowledgeable.
There are both inside and outside exhibits.
I was there for 3 hours and it seemed like I had been there for about 15 minutes. Dozens of photos and some great memories.
I highly suggest a visit to Hill Aerospace Museum if you are anywhere with in a hundred miles of Ogden, Utah!!

For anyone who is interested in planes and the historical progression of military aircrafts this is a great place to visit. They have a large group of planes with their histories for each one.
A free entry fee but they do take donations which is always appreciated

Wow! Huge selection of WWI through present-day aircraft, both inside and outside the museum, all perfectly displayed. Plenty of informative signage to learn about each plane and accompanying paraphernalia. Knowledgable and friendly retired airmen (?) available to answer any question. Large and well-stocked gift shop, too. We really enjoyed our visit!

We really enjoyed visiting the museum, it has beautiful displays and aircraft. Admission was free, so that's a plus! You can walk around at you own pace, and the volunteers are nice and full of great information. There is plenty to see outside, and they have picnic tables available. It was very clean, and they are following covid protocols so bring your mask. Google map sends you to the wrong exit FYI, so get the address from somewhere else.

First time taking the kiddos and I hadn’t been since I was a kid. We didn’t plan it this way, but realized they were doing an Easter Egg Hunt. There were decal eggs hidden throughout the indoor museum with code words on them. If you found at least ten you got a prize. It was a blast!
The layout of the museum is excellently done and there are a lot of friendly volunteers. I’d definitely like to go back and read the posted signs so I can get more of the history. The planes are pretty cool.
Free to get in! Definitely recommend stopping if you’re passing through.

Exceeded our expectations. From the moment you drive up and see the planes displayed outdoors, you know this will be a great museum. So much history and so many planes. The volunteers were all so helpful.
I would recommend getting there early if you want to have time to explore. We ended up being there for a few hours ( we saw everything).

This is our 2nd trip here. Last trip was 15 years ago. WOW what a difference time makes. This was cool the first time. The improvements they are making made it tons better. You can walk right up to the planes outside. Going inside you get to read about all of the planes there. One cool thing is the local history there too. We took our grandkids and they had a really fun time. They have a C-130 exhibit where you go into a C-130 fuselage. Sitting in the nylon jump seats brought back memories for me. The volunteers bring their stories there as well. Our last visit I was able to talk to a gentleman who was a bombardier in a B-17 during WWII in Europe. Man did he have some interesting (and sad) stories to tell. The best part of this is that this is all FREE! I could spend 3 or 4 days going thru this and not see everything. This is a definite must see if you are in the area.

What a find! An incredible collection of aircraft from throughout history, along with memorabilia, artifacts and placards to explain it all.
Spread across two large hangers and outdoors, this place is incredible - and free (other than your tax dollars). Wear comfortable walking shoes for these concrete floors.
A must-see for any air buff.

The Hill Aerospace Museum will surely satisfy the most demanding military aerospace junkie. Plenty of US aircraft on display inside and out including a B-1 Bomber, B-29 Bomber, and an assortment of smaller combat and utility aircraft. The price is free and its right off the interstate. My only criticism would be the lack of many foreign aircraft - we saw just a couple of MiG fighters outside in an area that could not be reached on foot.

Hello, Unfortunately the outdoor aircraft are not accessible outside of our business hours. We lock the gate promptly at 4:30 when we close. We are open from 9:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Saturday.
