William L. Jones, 74, of Decatur, died at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Jones was born in Warrensburg, a son of Edward Harvey and Rosa Bell Buckley Jones.
He was a retired machinist helper for the Norfolk and Western Railway Co. He was a member of the Boiling Springs Church of God and a member of the N&W Fellowship Club.
He married Bertha Leona Park on November 24, 1921, in Decatur.Survivors include his wife; sons, Donald P., Lyle H., Larry Lynn, and Lloyd W., all of Decatur; daughters, Mrs. Harold (Norma Jean) Marlowe and Mrs. Robert (Wilma Dean) Cooper, both of Decatur; a brother, Orville Jones, of Santa Fe, NM.; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
