All YVR parking facilities include designated parking spots for people with disabilities. Display your valid blue permit to utilize extra width and close proximity to facilities. jetSet buses are fully equipped with wheelchair lifts.
Electric Vehicle Parking
YVR provides free electric vehicle charging at our parking facilities. This includes ten charging stations at our new Value Long Term lot, and two stations in Level 1 of our Parkade. See availability on www.plugshare.com.
We are continuing to build more capacity for electric vehicles. This includes adding more charging stations to Level 2 and 3 of our Parkade. Additionally, we are building a new Parkade which, when complete in 2021, will feature electric charging stations for at least 10 per cent of all parking stalls.
YVR Token Parking System
The Parkade and Value Lot utilize a token-based system. Chip-embedded tokens replace paper tickets as a means to reduce waste.
Parking Tax Information
Both Parking Sales Tax (24%) and GST (5%) are applied to parking at all pay parking facilities in Metro Vancouver, including YVR. The Parking Sales Tax is calculated on the parking fee; GST is calculated on top of the parking fee and the Parking Sales Tax.
