No call flow
Bilingual Spanish Interpreter (Current Employee) - Remote - January 5, 2024
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThis is a very unstable job and only take it if you are going to use it as a part time extra money job. The calls are very minimal. The only decent contract they had is when there were calls from USCIS that were pretty long and helped you earn money and now we don’t have any of those calls. I do not know what’s going on but now the calls are scattered you’d be lucky if you get one call every hour my pay at the end of the day is about $10. Which is insane, They pay extremely low. Before they were paying hourly a’d it was great pay but now we’re being paid cents by the minute when on a call and it’s very low call flow. Calls come in scattered and everybody is competing to pick up that same calls that only made a good 10 minutes or less.
Pros
Work from home any time, no schedule.
Cons
Low very low pay and no call flow

Not enough assignments
Interpreter (Former Employee) - Howard County, MD - November 22, 2023
Company lacks organization, and the workload isn't sufficient. To secure assignments, you're often required to reduce your hourly rate. Additionally, last-minute tasks are offered only when they can't find anyone else to cover the job.

It is a great place to work. You have flexibility to make your own schedule. Trainers are awesome. I am happy that I bumped into this company. It has been a pleasure to work with them.

Not enough calls.
Interpreter (Former Employee) - Remote - September 29, 2023
I worked for like 3 weeks and connected 2-3 hours per day and I didn't receive enough calls. Sometimes I stayed 3 hours connected and there were no calls at all so it was a waste of time and money. I told the staff many times about this problem but they did nothing.

Very unprofessional staff
Interpreter (Former Employee) - District of Columbia - August 19, 2023
Management is unreachable and unreliable. Management doesn't resolve issues. Management lies. Very disorganized company. Missing payments. Long time for support or to receive an answer to issues. No tech support at all.
Pros
None. I already left.
Cons
No support to their employees. They could care less.

Problems with payments
Spanish Interpreter (Former Employee) - Remote - August 18, 2023
Interpreters are getting paid incorrect amounts and even full days. Managers say they cannot find records, and they take too long to answer. I'm still waiting for a response from billing. I asked for a new code to access the payment/HR system (Tipalti) for at least 2 months now. The rates are low, like most agencies that want you to take calls on-demand.

Irresponsible Management team, recruiting, and payroll
Contract Interpreter (Former Employee) - Remote - August 18, 2023
Nearly impossible to reach a manager, or team lead. Pay is consistently incorrect. Payroll is impossible to reach. Company makes excuses and claims that there platform didn't track times or logins even though calls were taken.

Pay
Interpreter (Current Employee) - Wilmington, DE - August 9, 2023
I enjoy it just because you meet different people but it Can’t be a reliable pay I was informed that it would be 45 days which I was okay with but then 45 days came, they don’t pay you the full 45 days the pay you per each case for example your first day you only had one case that’s what you get paid in 45 days not all the 30+ cases you did in those 45 days. If you want dependable income this in not the job for you.

Great training
Interpreter (Former Employee) - Remote - July 4, 2023
Good as a side hustle since you don’t get assignments frequently. The pay is below market rate. Payment and assignment portal is very easy and straightforward to use

super disorganized for an international company
Anonymous (Former Employee) - US - February 3, 2023
For an international company, you would expect something much more organized and effective. None of which I found here. The people are nice and helpful, and they're the best thing I can say form the whole company, but aside from that, you have to find your own ways to learn.
Pros
good salary, diverse workplace
Cons
short breaks, ineffective management

Good benefits to have with a toxic family culture.
Interpreter Onboarding & Relations Specialist (Former Employee) - Remote - December 22, 2022
I worked in the DHOH department…I was trained by a horrible person who kept gaslighting us and won’t own up her mistakes. She is the grandfather of the company and moved out of our department, but still works for the company. This family culture is pretty toxic and they don’t keep people accountable as they wants to ‘cherish’ people. The benefits were really great…I enjoyed it while it lasted, but it wasn’t worth it for my mental health. There were a lot of time when you have to be a self-starter (there is nothing wrong with that), although, there were too many times where you are on your own with the multiple hats. They claimed they would protect you, but I personally didn’t feel safe. Overall, this job isn’t for me. There were a several people I had a pleasure of knowing that were great colleagues to work with. The experiences might will be different for you and I hope you will have better experiences than I do! Good luck.
Pros
Good benefits
Cons
Short breaks, ‘family’ culture, and lack of diversity, short staffed, self-starter

Not recommended even for newbies
Interpreter (Former Employee) - Silver Spring, MD - August 19, 2022
Few tasks not enough to make a living, no quick response to inquiries, low pay, they pay less without explanation sometimes, interpreters required to pay for parking, you are paid only for the exact time you worked even if the job was initially assigned for longer hours, workers not valued, the cheaper the better attitude, not professional

Secretary (Current Employee) - Silver Spring, MD - August 9, 2022
I thought it was a good company to work for, but I was wrong. the only thing for them is their bottom line and nothing else. they don't care if you are supporting a family and need more work.
Pros
nothing
Cons

Job with a purpose.
In Person Interpreter (Former Employee) - Saint Petersburg, FL - July 2, 2022
Job with a purpose. It feels so nice to help interpret for the parents of the sick children. I live close by so I can get to the hospital very quickly.

Dishonest and disorganized
Anonymous (Former Employee) - Silver Spring, MD - May 30, 2022
Management is awful. Underpaid and undervalued. Long hours and extremely disorganized. I would not recommend working for this company. Met some nice people though.

No communication, no one in the company has a sense of urgency on replying to emails
Interpreter -Spanish (Current Employee) - Remote - December 17, 2021
No one replies to emails text messages or voicemails on any level. Until they need you to do something, then everybody has a sense of urgency and you want me to feel like you have to as well.
Pros
Rate negotiable
Cons
Lack of communication- no one responds to email or voicemails
