In the entertainment industry today, two names have remained prominent in Hollywood. These are none other than John Krasinki and Emily Blunt. As a pair, the Hollywood golden couple has started to make themselves a household name as they both continue to have stellar careers. While Krasinski is best known for his role as Jim Halpert is The Office and Blunt for hers in Mary Poppins Returns, both managed to make to reach new heights of fame with their performances in the scary, 2018 film, A Quiet Place.

John Krasinski: Detroit, 82%
Based on a true story, the 2017 movie explores the series of events that led to the brutal Algiers Motel killings during the summer of 1967. The incident occurred when authorities mistakenly thought that there was a sniper at the Algiers Motel Annex. This then led them to return fire, which resulted in the deaths of three young black men.
In Detroit, which is directed by Kathryn Bigelow, Krasinski plays a lawyer named Auerbach, who is the fictionalized version of police lawyer Norman Lippitt.
Emily Blunt: My Summer Of Love, 90%
The critically acclaimed 2014 movie is a coming-of-age British drama about two teenage women (played by Blunt and Natalie Press) who fall in love. My Summer of Love is among Blunt’s earliest feature films and according to the actress, it was also filmed rather unconventionally under the guidance of director Pawel Pawlikowski.
“It was all improvised,” Blunt recalled while speaking with Entertainment Weekly. “Every day, we weren’t sure what scene we would shoot.” The actress also had to do nude scenes for the movie, something that didn’t really bother her since she “knew that the nudity wouldn’t be gratuitous.”
John Krasinski: Born In China, 85%
Born in China is a documentary that sees filmmaker Lu Chuan follow several families of animals across China - including pandas, golden monkeys, and a snow leopard.
Krasinski serves as a narrator for this Disneynature film and if you asked the veteran actor, landing the project was a real surprise for him. While speaking with Collider, Krasinski recalled, “They just reached out to me and asked if I’d be interested.” For the project, Krasinski flew with the rest of the film crew to China where the animals left him “emotionally hooked.”
Emily Blunt: Edge Of Tomorrow, 91%
Edge of Tomorrow is a sci-fi, action movie Blunt headlines alongside Tom Cruise. If viewers haven't seen this one yet then they should soon as it is easily one of the best movies about time travel to date. Here, Cruise plays a soldier who finds himself reliving the day over and over again.
At some point, he meets Blunt, and together, they work to break the occurrence and fight off an ongoing alien invasion on Earth in the process. The film also features one of the best training montages in cinematic history.

This 2014 animated film centers on a Japanese aviation engineer, Jirô Horikoshi, who sets out to create a World War II fighter jet. The story is loosely based on real-life designer, Horikoshi, who is credited for designing the Zero fighter plane.
In the movie, Krasinski voices Honjo, who is Jiro’s good friend. Krasinski also revealed that Blunt had voiced one of the characters in the movie too. While speaking with RCN TV, Krasinski revealed, “I was there when she was offered the part – I was offered the part first…”
Emily Blunt: Sicario, 92%
In this 2015 movie, Blunt plays an FBI agent who is asked to join a drug task force led by co-star Benicio del Toro. In the beginning, the film’s director, Denis Villeneuve, came under pressure to rewrite Blunt’s role as a male character but refused to give in.
“Thank God he had the conviction to fight against something like that,” Blunt told GQ. “Because women have proven themselves time and time again to be worthy of box office…” With Blunt among the lead stars, Sicario went on to become one of Villeneuve’s best movies to date.
John Krasinski: Operation Homecoming: Writing The Wartime Experience, 90%
Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience is a raw documentary drama that features readings of firsthand accounts of servicemen and women who had been at the front lines. Krasinski is one of the actors who does the staged readings in the movie.
He is also joined by the likes Beau Bridges, Robert Duvall, and Aaron Eckhart. Krasinski reads a segment entitled Camp Muckamungus, which was Staff Sgt. Edward Parker Gyokeres’ attempt at finding humor in military desert life. While speaking with San Antonio Current, Gyokeres explained, “We joke about what scares us.”
Emily Blunt: Looper, 93%
Looper stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a looper that assassinates targets once they are sent into the past. In the movie, Blunt plays the mysterious Sara who shows up during the second act. Of the decision to do this, Blunt told Indie Wire that it was meant to trigger an “emotional shift” wherein “the heart of the movie kicks off.”
According to the actress, she and director Rian Johnson took inspiration from the movie Witness when it came to introducing her character. If this movie appealed to someone then they may want to check out the other time-bending sci-fi movies.
John Krasinski: The Muppets, 95%
The Muppets is a fun movie where Krasinski makes a minor appearance. Nonetheless, the actor is glad to be involved in the film. According to Tough Pig, the actor once told Collider, “It’s just a quick little thing.” but “an honor like I’ve never had before.”
Although he refused to divulge any further details about his cameos, one will be able to see Krasinski in a segment towards the end of the movie, which also features other famous cameos.
Emily Blunt: The Muppets, 95%
Unlike her husband, Blunt doesn’t just make a cameo in this movie. Instead, she plays a receptionist to Miss Piggy at Vogue Paris. Her appearance may have been brief but Blunt’s character still manages to leave a lasting impression in the movie. The actress also appears in a playfully fun sequence at the end of the movie. For now, it doesn’t seem like Blunt will be making a return to the Muppets movies anytime soon, but audiences sure hope that she will and get an even larger role.
