I’m curious as to how you define “fell off” because TWY have done nothing but improve as a band musically and lyrically. The Greatest Generation is an absolute banger and Hum is a freaking masterpiece.

Thank you for sharing this. I’m going to suggest therapy to him regardless. I think he could benefit from it. (We all could). I’m not sure he and I are at a place to continue though. At least not now.

He’s the one that’s been dependent on me really. I’m set financially and I can support myself. He has a lot of complications with his divorce. It’s been good-ish. We both had high sex drives and we’re very compatible in the first 6 months. But then my dad’s cancer situation worsened, he then passed in June and I have been grieving (he was my favorite person) so mine has been lower. But it’s not a desert. And we’ve talked about how different things in our domestic situation have made me less inclined to get down (balance of responsibility, his kids being around more, budget issues, etc).

We’re going to break up. It’s just so hard when he’s standing there in front of me saying how sorry he is and he messed up and he loves me and doesn’t want to lose me. It’s a lot easier to just believe him. Thank you for sharing. Everyone’s comments are strengthening my decision to leave. It just hurts.

Thank you. It took so much for me to finally decide to be in a relationship again (I was single for 6 years before this relationship) and I’m so hurt. My naive brain wants it to be a small fuck up so I don’t have to deal with the mess of the breakup but, oh well.

Because he said that he was only doing it for attention. He was cheated on by his ex-wife and has always said he would never do that. I do love him and he has been emotionally very supportive to me (I just lost my dad in June to cancer). Is it possible he was just being stupid?

Friends and I had just gotten back to my apartment after a night of drinking. Friend number 1 went to my bathroom to vomit and friend number 2 laid down on the bed. I checked on friend 1 and she was fine. Checked on friend 2 and he was making weird gurgling sounds laying on his back. I grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him off the bed where he proceeded to vomit all over the floor. Friends don't let friends choke on their own puke.

I don't currently feel pressure to have kids (being single definitely helps this) but I do meet people that cannot understand why I have a negative opinion of pregnancy and childbirth. "You'll change your mind." "It definitely can't be that bad." These things are often said to me by men. I have spent my whole life being my own person so the idea of growing another human inside of me is definitely unnerving.
