Beautiful Chateau. Stunning location. Very well presented. English spoken. Surrounded by beautiful old village.

The castle and surroundings are pretty nice, but the castle was closed the last day you could visit it, even though there was no mention except for the announcement on the castle gate. It's a little too late to find that out when you've already driven there. The castle will also be closed for a couple of months, so be sure to ask in advance if it's reopened.

We was pretty excited to go to this castle. We got there and it was 12 euro each. we walking into this building with old racing cars and model race cars I was missing the upkeep of this building. Like the floor or lamps on the cars to light up the beauty of these cars. Next to it was an old attic with a bounce of motorcycles stuffed together collecting dust and not even with information about what it was, year or anything. This was for every part of this museum / private collection. Dust was growing on the glass casting in every room with model car, planes, motorcycles and everything that had wheels on it. It was an overkill. This place as great potential, the 12 euro's should have been used to have someone put a little love into this place. Put new bulb lights into the place, paint the walls that have water damage, clean the dust of the motorcycles, in the court yard set up a little bar, with the wine of the vineyards that surrounded this beautiful place. People would buy it. Simple little displays with directions where to go. If you love old race models, and love for motorcycles and airplanes. It's probably well spend for 12 euro. If you're not interested in those things, or allergic to dust Don't visit it.

Stunning landscape even though during winter. The castle itself is well preserved with beautiful decoration. The vineyard surely gorgeous during summer time, but for now they are sleeping. The cars and motorcycles collection are crazy. They also have millions models of car, plane and service vehicles. The aircraft was packed in this place as well. You must visit if you are an aviation lover.

The museum is relatively large, and the entire visit takes 1.5 hours, suitable for a family visit, 12€/person for adults. There are vehicles, motorcycles, fire trucks, airplanes and other vehicles used in historical periods.

A fascinating although slightly odd experience. Quite an eclectic mix of artefacts on display in and around the chateau, including planes, hovercraft, tractors used in the wine industry, fire engines, motorcycles and Abarth cars, but many of the exhibits looked sad and neglected. The ground and 2nd floor of the chateau itself were accessible to the public, which was interesting. We would have liked a cafe on site but, sadly, there isn't one.

Gorgeous if a bit altmodisch museum for automotive enthusiasts. We were here for a wedding dinner and came an hour earlier to check out the space. Lovely staff though place is a little dusty. Stunning venue to walk around and relax.

Fantastic and amazing chateau and boggling collections of old school racing cars, farm equipment, old firetrucks, motorbikes and military planes. Also miniatures of gazillions of things, a vineyard, restaurant etc etc. Incredible find in the gorgeous French countryside. Thoroughly recommend a visit. €12 adult.

What a wonderful place to visit. First, there's the beautiful chateau and surrounding grounds. It's striking from the outside and filled with curiosities and antiques. Then there are the eclectic collections to see. Race cars, lots of motorcycles, fire fighting equipment, tractors, aerospace items like satellites and rockets, and military aircraft. Very nice way to spend a day. The chateau also offers wine tastings and wines for sale.

The chateau, is a mixture of museums. Perfect for the petrol head. There's bikes, motorbikes in the chateau itself. Airplanes outside. Fiat arbath cars in one of the outbuidings. Fire engines and euipment in another. Tractors and aircraft engines in another. Modle planes. Great place been there a few times. Only critsitim is there could be more detailed descriptions on some of the exhibits. Plus the chataux itself is interting. Will go there again.

Love this place, 3rd time we've been here, wanted to visit again before it maybe changes due to the death of Monsieur Pont. It's just a great collection and is my husband's happy place.

One of the best Chateaux we’ve been to with the addition of that fabulous museum. €12 worth every cent, not an empty historic building, full of Abarth racing cars, motorbikes and a field full of post war fighter jets. There are thousands of model’s of the above. This is a collector’s paradise. Allow at least 2 hours minimum.

What a strange collection of things in one place, but I loved it. I wanted to see a castle and a castle is what I saw. But as a bonus it has a Vinyard. That's not all. It has a race car collection that the owner personally raced in each. There us also a huge motorcycle collection, tractors, fire trucks, and the world's biggest collection of old aircrafts. If that wasn't enough. There are more models than you can count all within the 7 Hector property. Strange yet delightful.

Beautiful venue, lively wines and very affordable wine tasting. The property is worth walking around and the staff are super helpful. You can also visit the museum which is highly recommended

Interesting collection of cars, planes, fire trucks, tractors and bikes but very run down and dusty. The rooms did not seem kept up or cleaned and the roof was deteriorating. Maybe sell an airplane to pay for a new roof. Interesting to see what a hoarders house would look like if they had 400 yrs of generational wealth.

1/4/23 Very interesting museum in a former hospital that was in use up to 1984! Tells the story of how the hospital worked over time and daily life there. Also a must visit for medieval art and architecture enthusiasts as the place is full of it. Displays are informative with the provision of an audio guide which can be in English and French.

Hôtel-Dieu Museum - Hospices de Beaune is an absolute must-visit! Taking the guided tour is highly recommended to fully immerse yourself in the rich history of this place. While many flock to the region for wine tasting at the numerous châteaux, don't overlook the incredible beauty and fascinating history here. The museum provides valuable insights into the evolution of medicine and leaves you pondering how far we've come, yet how little we've advanced in some aspects. It's an incredibly interesting and thought-provoking experience that shouldn't be missed.

Great place to visit, so many history inside…I have been there with my 11 years old son and he was also very interested, the place is very well maintained and organized, definitely a must go if you are in Beaune!

Hôtel-Dieu Museum is one of Beaune's must-visit attraction spots, besides the various wine domains and caves in the city. You'll learn about the building's history and transformation, which is entwined with that of the city. Audio-guide is included in the entry ticket. Book online in advance to avoid long queue.

This is a must see if you are in the area. The building is definitely unique with a great story spanning centuries. The self-guided tour (with individual devices for narration) takes up to 2 hours.

We visited on a half market day via tour bus and enjoyed the area. Restrooms were not bad. There are many places to have lunch and shady spots to relax. The market packed up at 1, so get there early if you want to check it out!

The hospice is definitely worth a stop. The very detailed audio information played on demand via a special phone provided was a great addition to the basic tour. It is an amazing place that was set up by a nobleman in the 1400s.

This place is amazing. Bever thought that a private own hospital could be this cozy and welcoming, especially during the revolution days. The facilities are surprisingly well preseved and protected for the visitors to know about that period of time. If it wasn't that sunny, I would love to spend more time there just to listen to the bells from the tower.

Very interesting and astoundingly beautiful museum which was a hospital in the early modern age. If you are anywhere near Beaune, this is certainly worth checking out. Cheap admission includes audio tour which is available in many languages. Great trip through 16th-18th century history.

Such a fascinating building and history. I was amazed and it definitely surpassed my expectations. I definitely recommend the museum. The collection of chests was great. I was surprised by the inner courtyard, the pharmacy, the Kitchen, the main doom with its roof and the little chapel.

Beaune is famous for wine and this impressive former hospital for the poor. The Burgundian roofs and architecture are beautiful to see and it is famous with tourists. You can get an audioguide and explore the history of the halls. Every year in Nocember is the charity wine auction as the hospices also have their own vinyards.

A must see. An historical monument that's full of interest and home to a fabulous altar polyptic. Keenly priced, with free audioguides.

Absolutely a MUST VISIT. I understand that a lot of people come to visit and drink wines at the many châteauxs But this place has great beauty and wonderful history. It tells us how FAR medicine has come ! And at times, how little we have advance? It's super interesting.

Sleepy little town with amazing architecture. The hospice with its beautiful roof was especially lovely. Wandered through the narrow streets and came upon an impressive looking church.

Follow the metal signs on the floor to reach the famous owl. The legend goes that if you touch the Owl while making a wish, it will come true.

The Owl Trail is an absolutely ingenious idea for travellers to navigate and learn about the city!! Learned so much and had fun along the way. Great for children and adults alike.

The owl on the pillar is quite small and could be missed so look carefully. Nevertheless, signs with owls are located all along the old town which I thought was cute and a great marketing tool to promote tourism

In fact, the idea with the Owl, and the tourist routes where you are accompanied by owl, is simply ingenious. this idea, of course, is also implemented in other cities. But in Dijon, which is a larger than other cities of the region where we were, this is a real help in order not to get lost and see the main sights of the city. Owl itself accompanied us almost everywhere where we were not in this city.

The Owl trail is a fantastic way to discover Dijon. In addition to the 22 places along the route, there are tons of attractions along the way that you can get lost in. We took almost 2.5 hours to see everything because we kept stopping and wandering. Very unique and highly recommended. Worth the few euros it costs to get the official map or app.

By the time that you get to the now "faceless" owl you will have seen some amazing architecture and sights of Dijon. It's a wonderfully easy way to start a walking tour and, it starts really near the SNCF train station in the park (see photo)

It is indeed an owl, an overly hyped owl, faceless and about the size of the palm of my hand that is worthy of a lot of praise as it makes way for owles pretty much everywhere in this city, and that is pretty impressive in my book. Long live the owels!

Nice Museum, very well renovated mixing modern display and traditional aesthetic. Sculptures, paintings, ancient and more modern art will be available for free, it is a very unique initiative from the city of Dijon. Well served with 2 elevators too

Superb museum in a historical setting (palace of Burgundian dukes). What can be better? Well, it’s also free (permanent exhibition). The museum is not too big, so your mind can digest it and the collection is really stunning- starting from Middle Ages right to the XX centuries modernism. Amazing to see all those emotions portrayed by the artists- fear, hate, love, compassion. All this go through centuries of art. Sometimes you can feel yourself in the middle of the battle or a tragic mythological scene. I truly enjoyed this museum.

Definitely worth a visit and should allocate empty time for it. There's no overcrowding so ot is quiet and you can take your time..And, it's free entry.

The Dukes of Bourgondy took the belfrey clock of Kortrijk and placed it on the Notre Dame at Dijon in order for the 'Jaquemart' to strike each hour of the day. But it wouldnt be the only artifact that the Dukes would take from Flanders. As the power of the Dukes rose, so as well did the cultural richness as they ordered several most reknown artist of the time to excell on their artwork. Although the French revolution destroyed the church where the richness of the Dukes was ment to survive the ages, the tombs survived so we can still witness how Klaus Sluter sculpted the 'plearants' in order to grieve for the Duke and his whife. But there is much more to see than only the medieval art. Certaibly wirthwhile the visit.

Cool museum with a huge exhibition of art pieces. Interesting architecture of the space and friendly staff of the museum. If you are visiting Dijon and have some time for museums, I would recommend to visit Musee des Beaux-Arts.

Nice museum although the directions to follow for going around the museum were somewhat patchy. Plenty of oil paintings on canvas, a good section on sculpture, covering especially on François Pompon. The other very interesting parts were on the history of Burgundy and its four dukes. Unless I missed it, I was surprised of not seeing anything about Gustave Effeil whom has we know built the Effeil Tower and was born and grew up in Dijon

Free entry but you need to go to the counter to get a little ticket before you cross into the galleries. I think it's just to find out where you come from for research purposes. The owl walk comes through here (see my other post) There's a small but nice green patch out the front if you need a rest.

Beautiful place with loads of art, a wide variety of it, and a bit of history! The Duke and Duchesses tombs are particularly impressive.

This museum is a must-see in Dijon with artwork from as early as the 14th century. It demonstrates the evolution of art from two to three-dimensional art employing more artistic technique & introducing light and depth.

Amazing museum in an amazing city. The museum is objectively small, only three floors, but what a chic and amazing exposition. I'm not talking about the fact that the entrance is free. This is absolutely and very important for all visitors, especially for those who go with the whole family and who want to join the works of art. And of course many thanks for this to the city. Where I was, I have not seen this anywhere else, it is unique, many thanks to the city for this ones more. Exposition from ancient times to the present day, very good logistics of rooms, very good arrangement of paintings, spacious halls - all this in general is conducive to a calm viewing of the collection. 100% recommendation!

The entrance is on the side of the large building that was once the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy. The collection spans a long period and is not so special. Sometimes you see an item that stands out but most of it you just pass. What is impressive are the tombs of the Dukes of Burgundy which are best seen from a balcony above. The museum is a maze of galleries with stairs and elevators everywhere. Navigation is a bit difficult Entrance is free.

Its free, has amazing architecture to look at and some outstanding art as well. Just for the ceilings in some rooms it is worth a visit though. Go to the top floor and onto the balcony of the dukes to look at the coffins.

Great museum with a lot of different exhibitions and displays, ranging from the history of the building itself to medieval up to 20C art as well as some contemporary exhibits at the very top floor of the museum. Free of charge to view the permanent collection but you have to pay to see the temporary exhibition.

This church and Abbey is one of the best preserved in France. It is surrounded by it's own walls and gates which gives it an impression of a fotres. Already in the 6th century a church was built here in a place where there used to be a Roman castrum or army camp. The Abbey got a boost in 875 when the remains of Saint Philibert were put to rest in this church and gave it it's name. The church is sober on the interior but has some interesting mosaics behind the main altar. At the entrance is a small exhibition. The Abbey has a nice central courtyard

Historical building, still used as a church for mass, surounded by part of its ancient defensive towers. A view shops and cafes also provide interesting goods and drinks/food. Tournus tourist office is also located opposite the abbey giving good information about the local region. Public toilets were closed due to Convid 19. Parking the car should be done outside the Abbey grounds. The SNCF railway station is but a short walk away.

I came here at 510pm and they won’t let me in because their cashier closes at 5pm and the museum closes at 6pm! How ridiculous! Post on your website! Waste of time for people who drive all the way over! Such a disappointment for the kids!

It’s a museum of the famous La Vache Qui Rit (the laughing cow) cheese. A family cheese business that melted the worlds tastes buds with its creamy cheese. It has a lot of fun activities both for young and old. You can follow the history of thru the webpage with voice over provided. A wifi will be available for the entire tour. A short but enjoyable tour. Don’t forget to take home a souvenir for this your.

The visit is fairly expensive (8$) and honestly there isn't much to see other than the exposition explaining some of the history behind the brand but all turned in a way to show how great they are. I wanted to get a better understanding of how the cheese is made and the process behind it, which they didn't provide. Probably good for kids though alot of the interactive displays were closed due to covid

What can you say, it's the house of the laughing cow. Expect cows, laughter and the origin story, complement with an interactive section and finish at the, way too alluring, gift shop.

Boring unless interested in architecture, or clowns. If you want buy their salt, then you can buy their himalayan salt. It's on to drive past. Really expensive to just look at two buildings

Interesting place to visit, I learn a lot on how salt was made and the importance of it in history. You visit the Saline Royale with a tablet and VR animation, it’s very well done and available in a dozen of languages and you wouldn’t understand a lot without it. The natation of the story could be improved a bit, there is a lot of repetition of the same explanation. I would have love to be able to see more of the tool they used at least a smaller model. Everything is displayed on the tablet but it would be nice to have more real life things to see. The part of the visit on Ledoux project was very interesting and I appreciate having more things to see in real and less on the tablet that just bring audio information. Regarding the new garden, maybe it’s because it’s new and plants are not fully grown but it was not that interesting.

A unique architectural ensemble of some salt processing factory built by visionary architect in 17th century. Some visionary example of early stage of industrial revolution. Highly recommended.

A really interesting place to visit with high quality exhibitions and audio guide. The architect was truly visionary. Also lots of information about the history of salt use and value, the changing use of the unique building, and UNESCO impact. My children (7 and 11) enjoyed the treasure hunt on the audio guide. When we were there a really stunning sensory art experience by Charles Belle was amazing and unexpected. Also the cafe is good with very special outdoor spaces to eat, created from natural willow. A lovely, stimulating and unusual place to be.

Excellent outing for those who like architecture, art, history, and gardens, all rolled into one. We easily spent 3.5 hrs there.

Striking architecture with gardens of equally stunning proportions! The different sections of the garden were interesting to vistit and nice to see the sustainable approach with lots of natural habitats for wildlife. I hope to come back soon!

It's a nice historical place. I like it.

Well, as the French say, 'boff...' La Saline Royale is impressive from an aerial view, but the earthly experience isn't amazing unless you're really, really into historical salt production. The entrance fee is 14 euros (adult), which is too high for what is essentially a long walk in the hot Burgundy sun, surrounded by a semicircle of closed buildings. Around the perimeter, little garden spaces have been created; you can tell that they are making an effort to liven up the landscaping, but the gardens are overgrown (got stung by giant nettles growing into the pathways) and the plants are nothing exceptional. The museum is a welcome cool break, but the exhibits are not well linked to the audio tablet. Better to spend your time and money driving down the national road and enjoying the verdant Burgundy countryside.

Nice cascade. Unfortunately, it was almost dry because of the hot summer. -2 stars because of the parking lot for which you have to pay (5 euro 1h). The first 20 minutes are free, but it is almost impossible (without running) in that timeslot to walk to the waterfall and back

There are several walks to the waterfalls, we took the short one from the road above, but I believe you can walk a longer tour along the river and all around. You're able to walk very close to the falls themselves and watch from secure metal gantry. You can also view the falls from a viewpoint above. There is a restaurant nearby, but I believe it is only open during certain seasons. It would provide a wonderful view of the falls while eating though!

About 1.5 hours stroll in the woods. Great location for a pick nick. Avoid rainny days as it can be slippery.

Parking mandatory (5€/h) and a lot of people over the weekend. Organize yourself to avoid the crowd.

Beautiful waterfalls and walk...would definately recommend it for a day trip. It could be quite difficult to walk parts of the route if you had limited mobility as there are many steps and slippery rocks but you can choose how far you walk. On the route we took I couldn't see any restrooms or restaurants which were open unfortunately

Quite crowded but not without reason. Several lathe and small waterfalls can be viewed and experienced from a will maintained path. Though mostly easy to walk with stairs were needed, it can be sometimes a bit steep and slippery. Because there is only one trail along the river and the trail at points only allows one person, when crowded it is easily jammed. Don't forget to bring some food and drinks with you if you venture past the first waterfall. There is plenty of parking space (paid).

Exciting castle with interesting history. We went there before the main season, so we had to attend the guided tour in French supported by an English booklet. An OK experience, but we wish we'd understood the French guide who seemed very enthusiastic, and all the French tourists laughed a lot 😂

Very very great castle! And such a Great visit! Very interesting history and good value for money activity. I had no idea what to expect but all the « expectations » were far exceeded! This is a strong recommendation and I give a special dedication to the staff on site. All of the guides, front desk people and even the security guards were exceptional and deserved all of our appreciation. Recommended!

Beautiful castle built in the middle age on top of a rocky mountain, has a very interesting history, and has survived many battles in the past.

Terribly organized, only excursions, so no option to walk by yourself, and the excursion is being done only in French, no Audioguides, nothing. Plus they show only 10% of the whole castle, boring. Do not recommend at all. Not correct info on the website regarding the timing of the excursions. Pity!

Highly recommended! A fascinating fort with an intriguing 900-year history. Out of season, you need to go on a guided tour - takes about 90 minutes. There are quite a few steps, so wear comfortable shoes! A couple of places are a bit unnerving if you suffer from vertigo. Our guide, Lionel, was brilliant. Passionate, funny, knowledgable and we could understand about 90% of what he said (I'd guess we're a good 'A'-level standard of French). Lionel was a natural storyteller and entertainer! There are written foreign language guides available, just ask when you book. They've got big plans for developing the site further, so we'll definitely visit again next time we're in this enchanting part of France.

Small but nice lake, enough to spend couple of days of vacation here. Can rent the pedal boat to have a short look around (1 hour 16€). Or just walk on it's perimeter, won't take longer than few hours. Camp is there too, also you can find a casino and cozy tables with benches for a picnic. The lake itself is quite clean, allowed to fish and swim.

Wonderfull place to visit, lots of activities to do, I even saw a weeding photoshoot there, so beautiful !

Very nice esculpture, using the mountain as a background and defending the wall. The creator is the same one that created the esculpture for the Statue of Liberty. The rest of the body are in the museum at the top of the mountain.

We were in this city on business. We visited the fortress. In winter there are no people here. Pleasant cashiers. Cool, but incredibly beautiful.

Beautiful place with A great view of Belfort and the mountains. I thought you gave to pay everything but that wasn’t true. You can just walk to the fort, go up, enjoy the view and walk anywhere nearby. Also in the summer it is a good place to get some sun, because there is plenty of grass where you can lay down and enjoy the sun and the view.

The whole town is amazing. The history / building s behind the fortified wall's took my breath away. Allow plenty of time, 2 day's was just enough, with the occasional cold beer.

Great place for a nice hike - around 11km from Noiraigue. Great views of the cliffs at the top (when it’s sunny), and you might get lucky and see some Ibex!

Perfect hiking from boudry with les gorges de l areuse then you take the parking of the hotel de la truite then after the forest on the left then right to follow the concrete road to get on top of the plato, the view is amazing and it take me almost 4 hours

Nice view, recommended for people who like hiking up to the hill. Or you can drive up and walk a little to the viewpoint. The soft cream at the restaurant is very delicious.

Museum pretty good. Make sure to visit them. Disappointed about garden. Bit messy and not much plants to be found. Lots of weeds. Even free public Jardins are sometimes better. Some activities could be fun for children.

I lived in Alsace for years and I was surprised by the beauty of this location. Waterfalls, hills, forest with a lot of charm. If you like hiking, this place is for you.

I visited with my son during Christmas holidays but that day the weather was really bad. I wanted to go again now in may but opening time, 12-17, is too tight, so we gave up. In this period sunset is at 21.30, why not extend the time at least until 19?

Was a great afternoon out. The exhibitions were interesting in the main building, and the gardens were stunning! WARNING! The exhibition in the other building is NOT for people who have a problem with heights! You're supposed to go in at the top and work your way down. I couldn't even tackle the ramp to the entrance without getting giddy! Insider tip...you can go in via the door on the ground floor. Well worth doing.

I dident expect the place was like this, the apes enjoy this park is a big open forest were the apes sleep live and interact with humans in their own terms, is not allow to harrase the animals and is a fascinating experience be a silent spectator. Very fine experience in a very nice place.

We enjoyed our visit- lots of monkeys - big monkeys, baby monkeys, monkeys sitting on the trees. The children had fun watching them. There are 2 playgrounds for the children of all ages and even a watching deck for the bird watchers. I highly recommend this place.

We’ve had a super time at this monkey park. The kids absolutely enjoyed watching the animals closely. The park is not too big and also with a buggy easily accessible. It was super busy on a holiday.

Monkey Mountain was great! My 8 and 11 year olds enjoyed walking through the monkey area. We saw a few baby monkeys that were the most adorable things ever! The staff walking around was super kind and told us all about the monkeys. After we left the monkeys we spent some time at the playground. There is a fantastic "monkey" play area where the kids can climb through an elevated sort of ropes course and then other activities to simulate being a monkey.

Great park with enough space for the monkeys. Having been there for the 3rd time we probably didn't spend as much time there as others would. We spent around 2 hours including a cool drink/ice at the kiosk afterwards. The only negative thing to say is that during feeding the only spoken language is french (though it is possible to ask questions in English or German after). However, when you have a child along who not yet speak more than one language it is (for the child) a quite boring experience to just stand there and listen for 10-15 minutes to something which you do not understand.

A very nice place.. I was expecting more monkeys to see and unfortunately there weren't many.. They said that we would eat the monkeys... It turned out that they only feed them.. The big problem is that things are told about the monkeys and not in English.. Or at least someone will translate from French... or a machine that will translate.. Unfortunately we didn't really enjoy it..

Absolutely loved La Montagne des Singes! The park is stunning and it’s super fun for young and old (there’s lots to learn, the personell is very friendly, there’s a playground, and there’s even a really cool climbing park up in the trees for anyone over 120cm). It’s an amazing experience for a really fair price, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone 🐒

We were very lucky to reach the park during the feeding time 🕗. We saw the monkeys 🐒 being fed and listened the caretakers explaining about the species, the family, their habitat. The caretaker answered to our additional questions in english. A very pleasant visit and very nice personnel 🥰❤️. Thank you!!!

Originally a 13-th century Dominican convent and later a public baths building, the Unterlinden Museum has a tremendous collection of international and local artifacts and relics that date back to prehistoric times. The museum was established in 1849 and opened to the general public in 1853. Sculptures, artworks and the amazing Isenheim Altarpiece by Matthias Grünewald (sculpted and painted in 1512-1516). So many more medieval and historic items to see. Expect your tour to take at least two hours and if it's cold, keep your coat on. Much of the museum is not air conditioned or heated but there are WCs throughout.

I rarely give five stars, but I really liked the variety of art and architecture here. I had a few hours to spare while on a visit to Colmar, and found it open on a Monday( as I remember!). There is a huge range of art here, from medieval ( which leaves me cold) to the modern ( more stimulating), with many pieces by local Alsace artists. But the star of the show for me is the huge preserved convent cloister with garden and ancient wells. It brings a touch of history, mystery and airy space to the museum. So I recommend a few hours wandering around these amazingly restored rooms and spaces for anyone arriving in Colmar.

Nicely organized, well-kept and especially interesting museum. I would recommend to consider at least 1h30 for the visit and if you include the audio guide (2€) even more. The audio guide is very well-made and clear, although it doesn’t cover very well the most modern parts.

Beautiful and huge building. We visited it for 2,5 hours but it felt we could have stayed for two more. You can go out for lunch and come back to keep enjoying every piece. Audio guides available in different languages.

I was a bit unsure whether this museum would be worth it but I was blown away by the exhibition integrated throughout with Fabienne Verdier's pieces inspired by the museum collection. It was incredible, the extensive beautiful old Dominican building had many rooms and floors emphasising different periods, as well as the famous Isenheim alterpiece. Absolute must to get the audioguide. Highly recommend not to miss this during your visit to Colmar!

Enjoy your holidays in this fairly tale town, Colmar and have a walking day surrounded by Alsatian houses, the half-timbered houses. The alley of colorful houses makes this place charming for tourists around the world. You can enjoy the scenic views, take photos, have lunch and/or dinner here.

In my opinion the best spot of Alsace region in France. We compare the river view as Venise. The colorful houses with old design and typical architecture will definetely touch your feeling. They are offering a large choice of beer and traditional food as the very iconic choucroute dish but as well Baeckeoffe, Spätzles, Bretzel and the very tasty Flammekueche (onions,bacon ham, cream and gruyere cheese).

Vieille Ville in Colmar is like stepping into a fairy tale. This old town is full of colorful half-timbered houses that look straight out of a storybook. As you stroll the narrow cobblestone streets, you'll find cafes, bakeries, and shops with local crafts. Don't miss visiting the impressive St. Martin's Church with its stunning architecture. It's a must-visit for anyone who loves the charm and history of old European towns

Colmar a charming old village where you can feel history, wineries, old houses and nice architecture. I recommend you to visit the Alsace, la Route de Vins including Colmar.

Colmar is definitely our favourite town in Alsace after 5 days of visit. A must do together with Kaysersberg, Riquewihr, Eguisheim, Ribeauvillé and indeed the splendid castle of Haut-Koeningsbourg. The whole of Colmar is a magical place! The whole city is a Christmas market and even with the cold it is difficult to keep the hands in the pocket as you would want to take pictures of everything! This city is full of beautiful houses for their shapes, colours, decorations, and everyone is incredibly friendly in Alsace ! The city has many nice shops and amazing restaurants to enjoy including a 2 Michelin star restaurant. We've got to visit the city if you come to Alsace.

A "Real Eyeopener"! This compact "old town" area of Southeast Colmar is a place "not to be missed" by visitors! It gets its name due to the "historic houses" built on both sides of the small, meandering, Lauch River.... and the "fairy tale vibe". The area is wonderful to walk around-- and has cobbled streets, colourful "half-timbered" houses, and a "covered market". It can also be seen by boat. It has been awarded by TripAdvisor the esteemed "Certificate of Excellence". It is indeed well worth a visit. It is no wonder that it has been rated as one of the "top of places" to visit/things to do, while in Colmar. It will definitely add to one's memories of the visit. I hope that this Review has been helpful.

Lovely time walking around Home Little Venice there's so much more than the picturesque bridge's to see with a few lovely restaurants along the canal, and little boat trip back and forth . It's only a short walk from here to the indoor market . My recommendations would be early evening when all the lights come on for beautiful pictures .

Colmar is a very beautiful town to visit. Many old historic buildings.

It was cool!! You get a lot for your money! Free train rides for kids, total history of France trains, all in French though, and not an interactive play museum for kids. Still cool though for kids that love trains!

A cathedral of railway history. Wandering through this sprawling structure, I felt overcome by a spirit of deep reverence: for those towering leviathans of steel that helped create the modern world and transform the populace's conceptions of time, but also for the workers and engineers and even the politicians who helped make such a world possible. Even dormant, the old trains seem to possess an overwhelming and imposing force, feeling almost primordial in their grandeur and clean elegance of design while also signalling the birth of a different age, one of sophistication and glamour. They are harbingers of transformation, of an age that once seemed exhilarating and terrifying in its sheer dynamism, but one that we now look back upon nostalgically. Lingering in the darkness of what was once the old SNCF trainshed, they still seem almost alive, especially surrounded by a series of quite informative mini documentaries about railway travel throughout the last century and a half.

A great place to spend a few hours - wandering through the history of trains in France - from steam locomotives to the TGV and everything in between! Lots of interesting movie clips throughout the visit and would be perfect for all ages. The restaurant serves good food too - with lots of Specials on the menu each day. Well worth a visit!

Amazing museum! Suitable for anyone, children or adult, fan of trains or just interested in pretty trains. The average visit time indicated on the web site is 2h30 but I would say it's at least 3 hours maybe even 4. If you get hungry, there's a restaurant inside - a bit expensive but decent for a museum.

This is a great place to understand the history of trains from the begining to till date and get the gist of evolution of trains in France. There are some simulations as well. Surely you could have Sheldon Cooper moments 😜

What an amazing museum! Such a large collection of trains, locomotives and carriages. There is also info available in English, but all of the interactive stuff is in French. My two year old was a little afraid of the first room (dark, noises and big trains), but he enjoyed it a lot in the end. He still talks about it a week later.

It's a lovely place to visit, there are a lot of trains to see with a good mix of epocs, there are also lots of little bits and pieces dotted around. It is too much biased towards French speaking, not much information for tourists, which is perhaps a little like a dropped ball as the exhibits are made in France, Germany, UK and America! A special mention should be made for the kitchen, the team are doing some really good food, not like a typical museum but like a restaurant, worth going just for lunch. The lady at reception was very welcoming, had a big smile and was knowledgeable, she spoke English, maybe German too.

This place is a cathedral dedicated to the railway. A thorough exploration of the exhibition halls took me three hours. Special mention must go to the museum staff: the enthusiastic young man on the front desk gave me an overview, whilst the young lady in the restaurant was delightful and most helpful. Both spoke fluent English, which I appreciated - they were great ambassadors. I highly recommend this destination as an exceptional place to spend half a day!

Wonderful museum for these engineering marvels. Lots of different locomotives and coaches to see with interesting info for those who appreciate the workings of trains. Only a pity that a considerable amount of the info was only provided in french. A guide was inside, answering questions and providing us with an enthousiastic explanation on steam locomotives! If you want to really take your time visiting this museum, reading some of the info, count on spending around 4-5 hours, time flies here. A must see if you like trains!

Great day out for all science lovers and has a brilliant café too. It can also be purchased in conjunction with a ticket for the Electropolis museum which is well worth a visit. It is important to offer for a day as a thorough look round can take up to 6 or so hours!

Fantastic place! Watching it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. In a huge hall, hundreds of cars in beautiful condition. From the beginning of driving, you can find a lot of models here, looking at some of them, a frame from a movie comes to mind. We'll come back again, because it's a full-day program if someone wants to watch it more thoroughly.

Absolutely amazing visit! The displays are superb, and I can highly recommend spending a lot time here. Sadly I was under time pressure, so rushed through parts. But will be back. I didn't get her name, but the young blonde lady at the ticket desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. A great start to the visit

With one word - it is an extraordinary museum! If you are a car enthusiastic, or someone who is into mechanical designs and engines, you should definitely see this place. The open gallery is very well prepared for a great exhibition according to years with brief, but attention taking descriptions and stories. The collection is one of a kind with very unique and rare cars. And the idea of "Car lost in the Nature" is truly beautiful. We paid €18.00 for an adult ticket without waiting in the line on a Friday afternoon.

A car collection like none other. It's a step back in time - and yet has one of the greatest new cars ever made on display. The classic/supercar driving at the end is a brilliant addition, too!

Despite not being a car enthusiast in any way, I absolutely loved this museum. There are vehicles spanning from carriages to formula 1, as well as lots of Bugattis. I would have liked to read more info about the vehicles, they only have a sort description. And more information about the founders of the collection would have been useful. I read up about them after my visit but their story could have been presented better in the museum. You can easily spend hours going round here.

This is an impressive collection of cars. There are a few fun hands-on activities as well plus a roll over simulator. There is a collection of children's pedal cars as well, which my children enjoyed. I am not a car fan by any means, but I enjoyed the museum.

Jaw dropping. The sheer number and range of vehicles is amazing. Quite a privilege to see the early models, and with good descriptions. But also the other categories, through the decades, as well as top end models and racing cars.

I don't visit museums that often, but this one is worthy of all the admiration. Great exposition, excellent descriptions for each car and really collected a huge number of exhibits I will say right away - that allocate 2,5-3 hours to visit. I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of a restaurant on the territory and a cool event after the end (the event is held on the territory of the museum every Sunday).

The collection is downright fantastic. It's incredible to see that many old cars, all the way to the 1890s, all in perfect operating condition. Fun activities as well (packing a boot to the brim, manually starting an old car...). Beware of the cold, however, if you visit in winter. The exhibition hall has no heating at all anymore (due to electricity prices). I visited on a freezing day and while it was above zero indoors it wasn't a lot higher! The bar also isn't particularly remarkable and has a tendency to close early (4:30 is too late already). All in all, pick a sunny day, go early enough, and you'll have a blast!

Amazing French automobile history in live... worth of seeing definitely... I know route de vin is quite attractive to being in there however if you are in Alsace, just few hours smell this amazing historical show for cars..

I’m in awe 🫢 €18 well spent the most amazing Day if you love automobiles Motorcycles etc it’s has everything from the first car to super cars trikes rally cars on a grand scale. Restaurants bars toilets all spotless. My favourite are the early motorcycles trikes .

The Musée National de l'Automobile in Mulhouse is well worth a visit for every car enthusiast. So many beautiful examples of automobiles from the very beginning of car manufacturing until the late 1970ies. Maybe the biggest collection of Bugatti in the world. Amazing! We were lucky and there were not too many people there so it was perfect to take pictures. I would like to go again. Or go to an event where the old racecards are really driven. Extraordinary!

Very nice exhibition. They have hundreds of car maybe more but you can't sit or touch. For children there is a car race for their fun in the middle. For extra you can drive a each car for additional charge. Overall nice place to visit.

Huge museum but seems stuck in time pre 1980. Some important early cars in here especially Bugatti and others and interestingly includes a modern day Veyron. Vast majority of the collection is very old and either early cars or from 1930s, 40s and 50s when obviously the collection was being assembled. Some really interesting cars too from micro to pedal cars, clangers like the Aston Martin Lagonda, Ferrari 512 and some fun hands-on things for kids. Very cold inside the day we visited and could have been heated. Parking outside is 2euro an hour.

I’ve been to lots of automotive museums around Europe but this one has been my favourite up to now, if you like cars the history and development of you’ll have a good day here. I particularly liked the easy layout of the museum which means you won’t miss a thing

Really nice experience for people who loves cars I forgot to make a mention for the guy at the bar counter inside the museum. I never saw a guy so crazy like him. You can talk to him and he still doing his job, don't answer to you, give you his shoulders and don't care what you ask to him. I asked for a plastic bottle of water, I showed him a translation in French and he stills no answers and doing his own!!! Very very very rude!! I think it will be good to change your staff

This is an amazing place. I have never seen a rhino :D The Zoo itself looks like a jungle. High grass. Trees and bushes everywhere. I suppose it makes animals feel better - like they're in their natural environment. Once you buy a ticket you get a map of the zoo. It is almost accurate. Paths are ok but not all animals are marked there. However it's not a big inconvenience. We treated it as a surprise. Great place for a family trip, even with a stroller. It took us about 2 hours to see everything.

On an exceptionally hot morning, this beautiful zoo was delightfully cool, with ample shade from the many trees etc. There are so many animals etc. to see, in a comparatively small space - they looked well cared for in attractive surroundings. Lots of places to sit, too. My only minor criticism is that many of the buildings are brutalist in style and lack charm. Easy to reach by bus or tram.

As it was the middle of winter when I visited quite a lot of the bigger animals were hiding in their sleeping quarters, but the birds were very active, preparing their nests for the breeding season. I loved that so many of the birds were free to fly around in their enclosures or even in the open air. The multi-layered exhibits with birds, mammals and even fish in the same enclosures were really interesting.

Great experience and a fantastic location. Lots of animals to see that seem really happy. Not to busy and the flow is well. It’s worth the trip and experience. Not expensive if you get the family pass. Thank you.

Absolutely love this place. The number and selection of animals is quite good but the zoo has many interconnected walking paths you can take at your own desire. The design and layout allows you to get pretty close to many animals. There are lots of benches all over so you can stop and rest at any point. Be sure to catch the walking of the Penguins during the colder months. Highly recommend!

Basel Zoo is a great day out! There is so much to see and the grounds are absolutely beautiful! It’s only a 10 min walk from Basel SBB main station so it’s really easy to get to! The enclosures seemed to be ample size and the variety of animals is great!! (I was amazed by the African Wild Dogs as I’d never seen them before) Highly recommend if you have a day to kill in Basel!

A very good zoo that kids will thoroughly enjoy. There are plenty of animals; however, we missed seeing elephants and snakes due to the snow and cool weather. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance. Recommend visiting!

Very good zoo, and with the Basel Card discount it's half the price, which I think is incredible!!! 11FR to visit is really good! You can see several animals, but I don't know if I was late or it was cold but many of the animals weren't in the enclosures, so I ended up only seeing the ones that were inside the buildings. Still, it was very worth it. I recommend visiting, five stars!

Amazing zoo with all type of animals . Aquarium, insects , reptiles,birds and mammals. Well maintained. There is separate section for apes too . Inside zoo , you can have good food in restaurant too. Its best place for kids , spend time .

Great zoo and easy to get to via the tram. We especially liked watching the elephants and the hippos. Lots of shade from trees throughout the park.

We Love a good zoo, especially ones with penguins but the indoor enclosure looked tiny for how many birds were in there.. The rest of the zoo had lots of animals to see and things to do and of course plenty of overpriced places to grab a drink (no, not just because Switzerland) Bus stop right outside the zoo for direct access to the city center. Worth a visit.

A must visit it Basel. If you’re staying at a hotel, the Baselcard gives you 50% discount. I spent about 2 hours in the zoo, but someone could easily spend more. The animals are clean and well kept, with employees often checking in on their welfare. This is also the first time I had the chance to watch a rhino up close. Great for a family trip.

Very nice zoo in town. One of the nicest what i visited. Lots of variety of animals. Loved the seelions! There was a small show with them with a place to sit down. The ape pavilion was also very nice. Can only recommend. Would visit again.

Very large zoo with a great diversity of species to see. The highlight for me was the primates section and the penguin walk which is scheduled at specific times of the day. The food in the zoo cantina is also quite nice with good hotdogs. Note: With the Basel card the price is cut in half.

One of the most iconic landmark in Basel that you have to see. If you are brave enough to climb to the top of the tower, you will be rewarded by the breathtaking view of the city across the Rhine. And if you look further, you can even see across the French and German country border. Even if you don't have the strength to climb atop of it's tower, the cathedral has an ornate interior as well as a monastery with courtyard right next to the cathedral.

One of the most beautiful churches i have ever seen. Loved the painted glass and the columns, the ceiling and arches.The entrance is free but if you want to go up to the tower you have to pay 6 CHF. And you will want to go to one of the towers, because the view to the river and the city is breathtaking. I never miss this part anywhere, and now i wasn't dissapointed. You will not regret it.

Not crowded and nice place to understand a bit of history while in Basel. Large cathedral with wonderful shades of light and dark. I'd love to hear what the acoustics are like when they play the pipe organ.

Quiet place full of history. The big walls from brick keep secrets of the centuries. Big yard with monuments to the victims of past tragedies. U can walk around and feel how deep and high is this monster of faith that'll stand here for decades more.

Nice and peaceful cathedral. What caught my attention was the amazingly colorful and vibrant stained glass windows. Cathedral itself is big. I would suggest to take a walk around and outdoors as well. At backside relaxing views of rhine and bridges on either side.

Beautiful cathedral. It was closed when I got there, I was hoping to attend the evening prayer session, as I saw on the website. It didn’t happen maybe because of an outdoor cinema event. At the back of the cathedral you can see the nice view of Basel and Rhine River

Beautiful cathedral. We went in the day for a tour and returned in the evening for an accomplished organ recital. There is a concert schedule and I highly recommend checking to see if you can catch a performance when visiting the city.

Fascinating gothic style cathedral dating back to the 9th century with rich religious and political history. The view of the city of Basel along the river Rhine is stunning from the top viewing platform. I recommend taking a guided walking tour of Basel like us which covered almost all the attractions including the cathedral with interesting history of the city.

Loved their NYE service. Wholesome and emotional. Some people were unfriendly, but that is not the Minster’s fault, it however left a stain on the experience. The building was impressive nonetheless, and extremely clean especially for how packed it was. Really beautiful place, definitely worth seeing.

So nice!!!! It's historical and elegant! I experienced a midday prayer at this location today, it came with very traditional ceremony with some music and singings, super nice experience! And the sight of the river is very stunning too!

A beautiful cathedral in the middle of Old Town Square. The interior is so elegant and simple, and the place definitely has a soul that touches your heart. It is closed after 16.00, so, pay a visit just before the evening.

Absolutely loved my time here. The choice of pools/baths/jacuzzis is quite enough and there wasn't too big of a crowd. Good and relatively secure system in the changing rooms and showers. Can get a bit too cold when transferring between spaces.

Lovely historic facility with a modern interior. Thermal water with small amount of varying temperature pools. Only a small amount of jets and bubblers, but a nice Roman-Irish bath available additionally with soap-brush option. Ample lockers, lounges and changing cabins. The relaxation theme is dampened by the roughhousing of the plethora of children at times. It does get crowded and parking is ample, but a hike away. Staff is multilingual and helpful, lifeguards are professional and friendly, both have an excellent rapport with guests and look like good co-workers in an enjoyable place to work.

Great place to relax nearby the Black Forest. Temperatures a little bit cooler because of the energy crisis, but that was fine. The locker system is really smart and the people there are nice. Little bit overcrowded in some pools on weekends.

Very nice place with good prices. The best pools are outdoor, with a beautiful view into old garden. Big choice. Located near romanian ruines, worth to go for a walk before or after the bath.

Beautiful nature and building but the therms facilities are quite limited relative to others (eg Rheinfelden thermal bath sole uno in Switzerland). The value for money is not great.

A nice spa that I think was reasonably good value for money. The roman irish spa ritual was a little bit disappointing, in that the atmosphere wasn't very relaxing or anything. The baths were nice, with a very large outdoor pool. The warm indoor pool was quite busy for its size and had lots of kids running about so it wasn't relaxing at all. Also, there were many signs saying not to reserve chairs with towels, but this wasn't enforced because there wasn't a single chair without someone's towel on when we were there.

Nice atmosphere, not crowded, clean and elegant. Free parking if you stay at the baths.

The place is big with several pools. This is for a very reasonable price. The one thing I would have liked to see (possibly for a higher admission fee) was a higher difference in pool temperatures in the clothed area. There are no "hot" or "cold" pools in this area. Possibly in the non-clothed area.

Wow... The best Thermal bath by far! My family and I just loved it. So much so that we did not want to leave. There are just so many options there! We ended up overstaying, but were only charged 1€ per person for that. We love this place and will most certainly return when we travel to Germany again next year!

Amazing place. I visited with my girlfriend. First of all the area is very peaceful and calm with nice scenery. The place is really well organized with a well thought security system. The shower areas and the bathrooms were extremely clean. It wasnt that crowded, maybe its because we got adviced by the Employee to start from the saunas. There is a canteen which sells food inside but most of the menu is available until 8 o clock. There are saunas with different temperatures and most of them are aromatic. I was wearing my swim suit and I also had a towel with me but I suggest you to take a bath robe.

Oh man, where do I start? I love pipe organs and this cathedral has a huge pipe organ divided into three parts. If you visit the place, they to find the three pieces, it's awesome. I'd love to see it being played but I didn't have the chance yet. Beautiful place.

A spectacular cathedral, right in downtown and surrounded by some beautiful old buildings. The entrance is free, and the environment inside is darkish and quiet. The glass windows are beautiful, and the shafts of light coming in are amazing. The ceiling has lovely textures, so do look up. It is nice to take a moment to sit and take in the calm. It is also lovely to walk around on the outside and notice the stone carvings.

Great cathedral for art lovers, the last work of Hans Holbein the younger can be seen here in the Universittate chapel (2 eur entrance). Other works are great too, unfortunately i did not find the info about the painters… anyway it is worth to enjoy!

Very cool cathedral in Freiburg that is rich in history. We visited quickly while attending the Christmas market outside. I would enjoy a return visit to learn more about the history of this church that is still standing after so many years.

The Freiburg Munster was so magical and pure. Make sure to respect others and to maintain silence inside the Munster. Perfect place to be at peace and to enjoy the architecture as well. Can light up candles for 0.70cents and buy candles to take home for 3 euros.

This Münster offers mesmerizing views from the top. One of the famous and beautiful tower in Germany. It has a very attractive architecture and history. If you are in Freiburg, must visit this place. You can buy the tickets inside the cathedral. You can easily reach from the Hauptbahnhof by walk.

A must visit place if you are in Freiburg. It's a nice slice of history, architecture and it's right in the market place. It is a pretty big cathedral and very quiet inside that gave us the opportunity to spend some time for a quiet prayer. The columns inside and the height of the ceiling is a reminder of all the great architecture done in the times before us. The stained glass windows are a view to take in and enjoy the art work and story. The market around the cathedral offers plenty to eat, drink and shop. We tried the hot cider and would definitely recommend it. The vegan/tofu option was not fitting my taste but it was ok.

Very Beautiful Cathedral in the town of Freiburg im Breisgau. This town is at the edge of the famous Black Forest area. There are lot of hotels to stay very close to the Freiburger Munster, in and around the square. When we stayed for a night, the square around the Munster was occupied by a wonderful Christmas market, where you could get excellent food (including vegan options), and nice artisanal items. This place is also close to the Swiss border from Basel.

This church is worth a visit. They do hold masses in German which was a challenge but it gave me an opportunity to see it as it was meant to be seen. We were told it was only structure spared during the war. Romanesque and Gothic architecture.

I have visited quite a number of cathedrals in Southern Germany, and Freiburger Münster showcases the most beautiful set of stained glass windows. Absolutely breathtaking! The steeple height is surely imposing, standing high and mighty above the beautiful city of Freiburg im Breisgau.

Freiburg Cathedral, since 1200s. Some interesting facts about this masterpiece. It’s actual foundation is based on a church started in 1120s, in line with that in 2020, Freiburg celebrated in 900 years Anniversary. Only Gothic church in Germany dating back to Middle Ages, which survived wars and still smiling. Out of 16 bells, the oldest dating back to 1258, oldest Angelus bell in Germany. It took 300+ years to realize this dream. The church is surrounded with market on weekdays, called as Münster market which brings local produce for sale. This tradition has been here since Freiburg wrote its name in history. So, a visit to the market is a different vibe. Can you go the church tower. Of course. 300+ steps will take you to the top of church tower base, where you can enjoy panoramic view of Blackforest and the city. Best time is Autumn during sunset. Check closing time before the visit. The church tower Entrance ( Münsterturm) is outside the church on left side. Wish you beautiful day.

So many choices as you explore. You can go up, you can go down, either way you get to enjoy a beautiful piece of history well preserved. After all the exploring, the fountain out in the square in front of the main entrance is designed to fill your water up.

Lovely cathedral with amazing architecture right at the heart of Freiburg. Entry is free. We loved visiting it from the inside and walking along its perimeter to admire the different gargoyles. Must visit when in Freiburg.

Amazing place with great views from up stairs how ever we had to climb a lot of stairs that were a bit narrow and they were getting narrower as you ascended more. There are some Bella on the top that are very old and kind of interesting.

Absolutely stunning cathedral in Freiburg. I absolutely love visiting places of worship as they bring such a feeling of calm and reverence. This cathedral welcomes all, to respect those worshipping. Beautiful stained glass windows and high ceilings! The Reliquary of Saint Lambertus (635-705), Bishop of Maastricht and patron saint of Freiburg gold statue is here for viewing, completed in 1514 by the goldsmith, and set up in 1779 on an older base from 1468.

Beautiful lake in the Black Forest. Food kiosk, boat renting and good atmosphere. Good enough, they sell food for ducks (remember that bread is extremely bad for them) and therefore forbidden to feed anything but that.

Titisee is a Great Place to stay for us. Regardless if you life hear or as a tourist. The nature is great. Sometimes it’s quit busy but that comes and goes. It’s great to go running next to the lake or through the forest early in the morning when the sun comes out and the fog is still hanging over the water.

Very quaint town in the Black forest region of Germany! Please get a cuckoo clock if you can, and do try the Black forest cake at one of the cafe’s at the entrance of Lake Titisee.

Visited during the winter off-peak season, so most of the stores were closed. But the views were still absolutely stunning! Everything was covered with a layer of snow, adding a touch of magic to the landscape.

One of the best lakes I have ever seen. The atmosphere is magical,I really recommend to go out of the town and follow a trail so that you can see the whole lake. Is all flat and really panoramic. It’s just half an hour by train from Freiburg so that’s really close and you can’t miss out the place is absolutely stunning. The trees are so high and the light is amazing. There is space to sit at the sides of the banks and grass fields are all over. In summer the landscape is so green,it’s wonderful ! There are also some camping places.

I went to 2 parks : The Palmenoase : an excellent place to chill and relax, with a very good restaurant and bar. The Galaxy Schwarzwald: a good funny park with a lot of water attractions, not very exciting but still very good for children. Overall, it's a great water park for relaxing with a beautiful view.

What to say it was a great experience. The staff is very friendly, the pools are nice and we enjoyed having cocktails in the pool bar. There are many trees inside which makes the atmosphere even more relaxing. They have amazing salt baths too. We booked massages in advance and that's definitely recommended. We had the best massage therapist ever. He was very knowledgeable and made us feel super comfortable if you're up for it he's got great stories to tell, but only if you're so inclined he can also leave you to just meditate in peace. Fantastic place!

The best and most beautiful place where i was been in my life. So clean so beautiful everything organised. Drinks and food were so nice. All different choices, and have something for everyone. Overall one of the best place for relaxing and having fun. See you soon again ☺️

A perfect place for family holiday. All details designed for customers are great. My little one enjoyed a nice view with me in the outside part of palm tree pool, with wonderful natural views and super fresh air, while my big one had a lot of fun discovering galaxy adventures. The food and drinks are nice too. Good services and full equipped infrastructure.

We have so much fun here! Nice place nice restaurant. And fun place for kids too. I would say the Freiburg version of Tropical island. Only wonder myself why it has to be all online reservations, by app..? Must print out the online reservations paper...?By PayPal...? it's not so convenient, some senior or some people don't have this stuff why can't just come in and buy tickets and pay by cash...?

By far one of the best swimming pools I've ever been to. The Galaxy part has a bunch of exciting slides, great with (older) children. The Oasis part is very relaxing if you want to get away from the noise for a few hours. Staff is English speaking, and the facilities were very good. Limited choice of food in the restaurant and quite expensive entry though. Be sure to buy tickets in advance, as they will be cheaper.

This is a great place to spend a day with the kids, it’s is a bit on the expensive side but I think it’s worth it. Changing rooms are very clean , in fact everywhere was clean. We went on a Saturday at midday and from the car park it seemed very busy but inside since the place is very spacious there was plenty of space and no waiting times for the slides. Enjoy your day

The place is very elegant, clean and well-organized. Very calm and peaceful. Admission fee is very high for what was offered in the thermal baths section. The food is also inconsistent, my friend ordered a Schnitzel for 15 EUR but got something that is the quality of an airplane meal. Not worth the money!

First Visit to paradise swimming pool in Titisee, I didn’t imagine I will like it , it was so huge nice pools , saunas and Water slide area . Area for naked saunas so big with different degrees of saunas start from 55° until 95° and there is a lot of programs to enjoy sauna with music and good Ritual also there is Mineral pool, sulfur pool at vital floor . Palmenoase :Dress area there is no sauna but steam bath. And big pool inside and outside with Jacuzzi , pool bar too . Restaurant and cafe lounges . You will also find a Mineral pool, sulfur pool at palmenoase . Galaxy area where you find water slides , pool for kids. There is also smoking areas (smoking room)on each floor . I also liked the organization and cleanliness, and this is something I prefer everywhere I go. There is a massage lounge with reasonable prices. No allowing for pic , specially at naked area . I taked care to take photos without people and share important things .

This place is really amazing, everything thing is neat and clean. The interior swimming pool has a bar to have drinks, also the exterior pool is good enough and has a very beautiful view. The changing rooms are neat and clean. The access is fast. Reserve online before coming. Recommended for all the ages. Good for families, children, couples and adult.

Amazing exp with family. We had been here with Dad and kids only grp and had a fantastic time. Huge rides and varieties to avoid crowd come a little early say before 10:30 am.

Although the park is relatively small, it is really fun. You can totally spend there 4 hours of fun and even more. Even when crowded you can really enjoy the park. A bit old, and the pool outside isn't really a pool, it can maybe fit 15 people at a time which is very dense.

Great slides and nice facilities! The restaurant and the bar is also great, with a large selection of cocktails. Hygienic, clean and very welcoming, with great views of the Black Forest - the outdoor pool is fantastic too, even while it’s snowing outside!

Strong waves are active in the pool, which is a great thing

The views from the top is just breathtaking. So easily reachable from Lucerne town centre. We went up the cable car and down via the steepest tram. Everywhere you look is so awe inspiring. Beautiful!

The visibility can be tricky due to the clouds so I would advise go a little bit later during the day. The cart all the way up (return) was around 70 e per person. There is a parking near by that cost us 5 euro for 5 hours. There are restaurants all the way up. We took fries, coke and pretzel for total of 17e The hill itself has few small hikes around the peak which is great. It is possible to hike all the way up or down from the peak.

Wonderful place with a fantastic scenery. A lot of short (but steep) trails and beautiful climb up by the cable car. Take the time to visit the area half way up. It provides a different and nice angle. It is better to take some snacks and drinks with you since the food and drink prices at the shops are as high as the mountain itself.

The views when we went up on the cog-wheel train were absolutely stunning, and I really enjoyed them. But when we reached the top, some clouds came and covered the great views. However, even with the clouds, it was still an amazing experience that I'll remember.

The view is extraordinary. Worth going if don't mind the high cost of the transportation up to the peak. The transport is calm a clean and nice view through the entire way (depends the weather) Not too much activity up there, after 1 hour had enough view and hot chocolate rest.

Stunning views and the freshest air you could dream of! The cow bells can be heard everywhere. We went up in the first car, so it wasn't busy at all. Make sure to bring walking shoes, as the hike up to the top can be a bit daunting.

What an amazing experience. From my travelling experience, what makes Switzerland better than most countries is the infrastructure. You go the most remote locations and you will find trains, trams, buses and shops. Plus, very rarely do you not get phone reception. Amazing experience for a weekend.

The day that we were here was cloudy ☁️ So didn't enjoy the view much. There were many tourists just like some other mountains in Switzerland. I was not enjoy much here tho. I prefer Titlis mountain more than this one.

Get a Tell Pass and catch a bus or train to the base and catch a gondola to the summit. Check weather visibility before you go. Absolutely stunning views in a clear day.

AMAZING! We went up with the cable car (the train along the mountain is closed in winter). The pictures don't do it justice, it's such a beautiful landscape! If you have the chance, definitely go!

What a treasure! From the ride up, to the stair climb to the top, Mount Pilatus is an experience to have. The crowd didn’t disturb the ability to enjoy our visit and the weather was cold and beautiful!

Mount Pilatus was only white fog for us. There was a tonne of crowd with us waiting for the clouds to go away! But the ride up the gondola and the view is beautiful. The fun thing is that we can get down at any of the stops and hike up or down as per our choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the clouds above, it felt like we were in heaven 😂, everything was blanket white. We hiked down a few kilometres till the last gondola stop. And the walk is steep but very very scenic. If you have the will and stamina, walk down a bit. It’s absolutely beautiful valley and the views are amazing 😍

Must visit place. Highly recommended. It is easily accessible from Lucerne with a train. Make sure you have 4-5 hours. Visit in late summer (with train) and winter(only cable car) View and experience is different in both rides.

We took the cable car up and cogwheel train down. This way we avoided the big crowd. We also missed the best ferry schedule so we went back to Luzern, visited the museum and then we took a evening cruise to Weggis. It was a perfect day spent in Luzern.

It was one of the best trips we’ve had in Switzerland. There are different routes to do it, we chose to go with the boat from Luzern, then the funicular up the mountain and then the gondola and cable car down to Kriens and the bus back to Luzern - it was absolutely brilliant. Took a total of 5 - 5.5 hours from the moment we got on the boat. It is recommended to reserve a time slot for the cogwheel train otherwise you would need to wait more.

The journey by cable Car is long and wonderful.I managed to feed the birds:),they are not shy! Very good Hotel on top of Mount,so us shops&Cafe.Great to feel the Nature so close,such Power!Then step inside &have a Coffee 😀☕

The view from the pick is absolutely stunning! The round trip ticket with the cable car cost 78 CHF. I went on Sunday so the line for taking the gondola was huge. I waited 30-40 min in the line despite the fact that I had an online ticket purchased before. You should consider 2-3 hours at the peak of the mountain. There are several points to eat, souvenir and Swiss watches shops and restaurants. Don't forget to wear comfy clothes and shoes, otherwise it will be difficult to hike.

If you are in the city I recommend coming here and climbing up at least one tower to see the view of the city from above. On a bright day it is really spectacular. I usually like climbing the tower farthest away from the lake, since it has an open balcony at the top.

Felt that the walls and the towers were a bit overrated, as there's nothing much you can do here aside from walking along the walls and climbing the different towers. If you must choose one, the clock tower (Zytturm) is the one that is worth climbing the most, as you can see the inner workings of the clock. The view from the walls and tower is not bad, but aside from that this feels just like a hiking exercise. Entrance is free though and you can walk along the walls from the hill to the river and vice versa, though would have appreciated more if they included explanations in English of the significance of the place.

Awesome, beautiful and historic place. You can freely walk around this medieval wall with astonishing views to the city of Luzern. A must-see in the city, completely worth it. There is a place near Zytturm (the clock tower) where you can see how it was supposed to be the old city.

This is the old wall they restored and show you how was before in history. From top of one off the towers or wall you have a great view over the city..

It's cool to see the old city walls and everything they entail. There's old clocks in there from the 1700's that are still 100% functional. Plus you can see all the brutal ways they protected the city... There's a nice park outside the city walls now.

Amazing views! There are lots of stairs to get there, but it's worth it. You can go to the top of several towers. One contains a huge pendulum clock. Be aware: The city closes the wall and the towers over the winter. No entry fee. Please don't leave any trash or write onto the wood. It's incredibly disrespectful. 😔

Brilliant panoramic view! You can see the city, the lake and the mountains overseeing everything with their white tops covered in snow creating a beautiful contrast especially during spring or summer. Worth driving there and especially rewarding as it's free. Very few things are in Switzerland, which is a country one has to visit many times to really appreciate it properly.

Once a symbol of power, the Musegg Wall and its nine towers are part of Lucerne's historic fortifications; forming a striking crown around the Old Town, the wall can be discerned from afar. A bit of climbing and scary steep steps inside tower and along the edge. But hold on to your fear, and it worth it.
