I took a bus up to Fort Lee and walked across to Washington Heights. The pedestrian pathway is broader than the Brooklyn Bridge and I was able to take my time and enjoy the views.

Its the bring that starts off route 80, which connects it to the Bay Bridge in San Francisco. It puts the bridge in "bridge and tunnel crowd"

I started out on my 6 month solo road trip going over this bridge. One of the slowest crawls on my whole trip. 100's of tractor trailers all around me was my experience. The pictures show the fantasy, the reality is a nightmare of snarled traffic.

just amazing bridge. Two levels of just a bunch of people driving in and out of this great city. Just not enough view to see the skyline

Is there ever a time you can cross this bridge in less than an hour and a half? Maybe at 4 o'clock in the morning. Anyway, there is something about this bridge that is really cool. You've seen it on old TV shows and movies. It is now almost 100 years old. You can walk across it if you are so inclined. The toll is ridiculous = $14.00 going north; nothing going south.
