I heard the Definitive Edition is a buggy mess, am I better off buying the Director's Cut on GOG? For 7.99 it seems like a no brainer Vs 29.99 for the DE.

Definitive Edition for sure.
Its basically the same game , the graphics are just a bit better.
The classic edition has nearly no buggs, runs well and even looks sometimes better than the Definitive Edition.
I would buy the Classic :)
Definitely buy original. The price is better,interestingly the graphics are bit better too in my opinion,and is less buggy.
