If you can't beat them, join them.

Rebirth Island is officially back in Warzone season three of Modern Warfare 3, and it’s important to know what the Warzone meta guns are before crafting a loadout.

Players may feel overwhelmed trying to choose a loadout for their first Warzone match, as there are well over 115 weapons after three seasonal updates, But there is a science to finding out which guns outperform others. With that in mind, here are the best meta guns in Warzone in Season 3.

Best Warzone long-meta guns for Season 3

SOA Subverter

  • Muzzle: Casus Break L
  • Barrel: Dozier-90 Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
  • Optic: Jak Glassless Optic
  • Magazine: 50 Round Drum

In the Season 3 update, the SOA Subverter’s max damage range decreased to around 22 meters, down from 25, and its near-to-mid damage range decreased from 46 to 41. Additionally, the battle rifle’s sprint-to-fire time increased from 256 milliseconds to 270 milliseconds, and its aim-down sight time increased from 270. None of those changes impacted the SOA Subverter’s time-to-kill speeds, so it now has the best TTK stats in the game from any range for long-range meta weapons

Bruen MK9

  • Optic: Corio Eagleseye 2.5x
  • Stock: Lane-56 Stock
  • Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
  • Rear Grip: STIP-40 Grip
  • Conversion Kit: JAK Shadow Titan Kit

In the Season 3 update, the Bruen MK9 had its minimum damage decreased from 26 to 24 and aim down sight speed down from 410 milliseconds to 350. On paper, both should have knocked the LMG out of contention for being a viable long-range meta weapon, but the damage downgrade didn’t actually change much. That’s because the JAK Shadow Titan Conversion Kit makes the Bruen have a time-to-kill speed of 681 milliseconds in long-range engagements.

TAQ Eradicator

  • Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor L
  • Barrel: Conquer-70 Long Barrel
  • Stock: Tacverte Core Stock
  • Rear Grip: FSS Combat Grip
  • Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip

The TAQ Eradicator has a fast fire rate, deals massive damage, doesn’t need an optic because of its amazing iron sights, and already has a large enough magazine to save another attachment slot. The TAQ Eradicator doesn’t kill as fast as other top-tier weapons, but every other pro more than makes up for the shortcomings.

MORS

  • Barrel: Tone Heavy Barrel
  • Laser: SZ Razorhawk Laser
  • Stock Icarus Light Stock
  • Bolt: Quick Bolt
  • Ammunition: HVP Anti-Material Slug

With Anti-Material Slugs equipped, the MORS is capable of one-shot killing an enemy from any range. The new Season 3 weapon has a faster aim-down sight speed than the KATT-AMR and XRK Stalker, better bullet velocity, faster fire rate, movement speed, weapon swap speed, and reload time. An added benefit of the MORS is that there is no need to reload, as the sniper automatically rechambers after each shot.

Best Warzone short-meta guns for season 3

HRM-9

  • Muzzle: L4R Flash Hider
  • Barrel: Princeps Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop
  • Stock: Folding Stock
  • Magazine: 50 Round Drum

After the RAM-9 and Renetti were nerfed in Season 3, no other close-range weapon outclasses the HRM-9. The SMG is extremely easy to use and has a lightning-fast time-to-kill speed. It’s disappointing that there aren’t more short-range weapons worth using now, because two viable weapons aren’t enough.

Striker 9

  • Muzzle: VP27 Mini Brake S
  • Barrel: Striker Stubby Barrel
  • Stock: No Stock
  • Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
  • Magazine: 50 Round Drum

The Striker 9 doesn’t lag too far behind the HRM-9 in terms of TTK speed, and might actually be faster with the right attachments. We don’t expect this weapon to beat out an HRM-9 in too many straight-up gunfights, but it could be possible to outmaneuver them.
